I have a ED Nine.1 and I need help deciding on what subs to get. The amp supposed to do 1200w RMS @1ohm 12.5v. I have a MB Quart 4125 powering a pair of ID CTX65cs comps and a pair of ID CTX65 coaxials. This is all going into a '09 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I listen to all types of music. I want something to get low and loud. Would 2 Icon 12's be a better choice than 1 Xcon 12 with that amp?

Well right now I am gonna get either 2 Fi BL or 2 ICONS. They will be wired to 1ohm off my soundstream pca2000d. But in the future i will be getting a zx2500.1. On the kicker site it rates it a 2500 rms at 2 ohms. Are the kicker amps one ohm stable? Cause if i get dual 1's to run off my soundstream amp at 1 ohm then when i upgrade to my kicker amp and not be able to wire them to 2 ohm then i got a problem. I was thinking though if i just got Dual 2's and just ran them off the soundstream amp at 2 ohms for 1500 watts then just be set for when i get the kicker amp. Or can will i be able to wire dual 1's to 2ohms off the kicker?

I have a 1998 GMC Jimmy. I'm running 2 Sundown SA15's on a Hifonics BRE1600.1 I'm getting ready to start a new box because i realized a measured the last one wrong so i only have about 4.5 cubes net. Clearly not enough for the subs . Here are my maximum dimensions. I can go 37 wide THE'ts right on the wheels wells would probably have about a 1/4" on each side. I would go 25 deep. Gives me about 7 1/2 inches to the back hatch. 24 high gives about a foot to the roof. Any idea's for a box. Probably just gonna stick with 35hz and I want it to be very loud but i want to be able to listen to music not just do burps. I think that's all the needed info right?

I'm looking for a 12" sq sub in the 500-600w range. I haven't been keeping up, but I seem to remember reading that RE products have gone down in quality. I know the IDQ is an all time favorite. Anything else fit the bill?

I am considering selling my Icon 15 and getting an audioque hdc3 15. Before I make a decision I would like to know if anyone knows the suggested airspace and tuning on the AQ's. My current box is 3.5 cu ft. tuned to 30 hz. Will that work for the aq also? Also I would like to hear some opinions on trading the subs out because I have gotten very curious about aq after I got m aq 1200.1 and saw the quality of their products. My main goal is to be loud daily.

  10. Hello everyone. I am looking to get your guys advice and see what kind of suggestions you have on subs. Right now I have a Phoenix Gold 500.2 Amp benched at 530 watts. I was running 2 12" Image Dynamic ID's. 4 Ohm. I am running just a standard box that was sold to me where I bought the subs. Unfortunately, I have blown both of the 12" ID's. I am not sure how because I never turn the Amp all the way up and never mess with the settings on my head unit. Maybe just cause they are 3 years old. I am wondering if you guys think I should go with 1 high quality 12" sub or just go with 2 12" subs again. I am not really looking to be super loud. I just want something that so…

First off i would like to announce that im an idiot, and i posted in the wrong section earlier this evening... now to my question.... I got a 92 toyota pickup, and i refuse to cut the bed, so i want to build a box behind my seat... I can get the box at about 1cf i think and still be able to fit the amp in the back... so i was interested in getting a d2 '12 so since i cant physically see the woofer, i would see what you guys think... can it be done.. you guys ever seen your sub in a wedge application and is 1cf enough for the sub... i have a rockford punch 800rms @4ohms.. is that gonna be enough to push it in a smaller box like that?? ive heard nothing but great things abo…

So I finally order a set of cheap comps to upgrade the crappy stock speakers. I'm wondering whats the best way to position them when you are so tall you pretty much sit in the back seat to drive? Right now I tend to hear the rear speakers more so then the fronts as I sit so far back. The front stage will be louder then the stocks running off the HU, so I think I might be ok. And advice from you other tall people? I'm 6'6" for inquiring minds. I was thinking maybe building pods just off the bottom corner of the door by my foot and firing the mid's towards the back more and possible putting the tweets on the pillars. Clueless right now. Goals are just to keep up with the su…

Hey guys, I heard a set of Death Row 12s today and I am THOROUGHLY impressed. Ton of clean, hard bass without losing much musicality so to speak. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with both the DR's and the DP's and if you could answer a question. I've heard from a few people that the DP's are burp princesses and don't sound very good on music. Is this the case? Or do they perform similar to the DR's? Are they burp princesses? The DR's to me sounded like a lower power xcon (don't get mad or nothing, just opinion). Looking to run a pair in my cadillac and a single in my wife's 2010 Speed 3. Opinions?

I'm very keen on buying the Rl-P from soundsplinter, i've heard all good thing about them, absolutely nothing bad. Recently my cousin purchase an idmax woofer, 12 inch one, it sounded awesome, the best sounding woofer i've ever heard. question is, how are the Rl-p compare to this IDmax woofer?? Are they comparable in SQ term?? Price wise, SS is defintely more attractive. So anyone with experience with those two drivers please feel free to post your comment. Thanks in advance.

  19. I have a 91 Acura Integra, and I'm gonna throw 2x 18" XL's in there on a SAZ-3000D or a SAZ-3500D @ 1 ohm... Finally got the numbers together, and have an enclosure designed with interchangeable ports (one is 33hz and the other one is 37 hz.... I was only able to get so much airspace out of my integra, but came up with 12ft3 with the 33hz port and 13.24ft3 with the 37hz port.... and thats NET, after sub displacement, bracing displacement, and port displacement.... My question is this.... I'm new to the "wall" thing, but I'm definitely doing it....and I want to know if it matters if the port is on the top or on the bottom (behind my head or towards my lower back?)..... If …

  23. Hey you owners, lol. I need to know what is the mounting depth of JUST the magnet itself. The website says 8" for the whole subwoofer but i am designing my wall and need to draw out the magnet so i can properly run allthread without running into the magnets. So... just the magnet itself, what is the depth? Thank you.

Well I am going to purchase a D2 15" monday and I needed some help on building an enclosure. On the website it says that SI reccomends the box be 4 cu/ft vented to 28 hz. I was reading around on the forums people doing like 2.1 cu/ft boxes ported to 30 hz. Whats the deal with this? I love deep deep bass but also like a bit of SQ in the mix. I will be running the sub off a hifonics bx1500. What do you guys recommend I build? Thanks
