I know this is Hybrid Audios Forums, but i do need some help. I am between three brands for a good sq setup for the front stage in my 1997 Lincoln Towncar. Scan Speak, Zapco, or Hybrid Audio. 8", 4", and 1" is the sizes i have been looking for. I want the best for under $1500.

so i just got my sundown saz1500d. in the coming weeks im going to rewire the car and grab a new sub(s). the ixl 15 looks like the best sub for the price out there, only problem is: i have about 14" of height to work with for my enclosure. however i have 36"w and 18-20"d. how would the ixl perform top firing side port in a 95 accord cpe trunk?

i have a 97 astro van that is currently getting the trans rebuilt. i was going to run 2 solo x 18s. then i changed my mind and sold them today on ebay. now i'm looking to buy 8 mj18's for my build. i have an hk4000d and a ss xxx6500d for power. five opti batts and stock alt for now. i want this thing to be a groundpounder that can also do good at comps. advise welcome

I can't seem to find another place to buy a Cerwin Vega Vmax 12.2 anywhere but a local shop and from sonicelectronix. Anyone know of where i could pick one up for a decent price? Sonicelectronix wants $189, plus $31 in shipping fees. I am looking for the newest model, which is this one if anyone knows where to get one it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hello everyone! I just bought an RE SX 18" sub from a friend. Unfortunately it has a blown voice coil. Is it possible to acquire a recone kit for this sub? How much would it be shipped? Thank you ahead of time!

I have an AP Epic 8" sub coming in the mail from Mike @ soundsplinter. I have yet to ever hear or play with these and want to know what others have had good results with. (enclosure size, tune freq, port area)

i got confirmation from chris at db-r that my 1500d will be here this week. im going to run 1/0, and drop a yellowtop in my car sometime this month. i have several woofers: 2 old zeuz 12" 825w, 2 jl 12w0-8's (kinda useless with the saz) and one new jl10w3v3-4. i was considering throwing two more 10w3v3-4's in to run around a 1 ohm load on the three, however im aware they arent the greatest speakers. my question is this: for LSQ, in a 1995 honda accord ex cpe, running the saz1500d am i going to be pissed if i buy 2 more 10" jl's, could i fit a single 15 or 12 and get the same or more output while maintaining the sq? im trying to budget my woofers and enclosure for under …

Hello, I'm in the process of redoing/upgrading my subwoofer setup, and I need some help pertaining to the amount of subs and box type. I have a Sundown SAZ-1500d amplifier, 0 gauge wiring to it, and the big 3 upgraded. I am being limited by space - I'm working with an area approximately 30" wide x 18" deep x 14.5" tall. So, the way I see it I have two options - #1 - sealed box with (2) Fi SSD 12's w/ copper coils, or #2- a ported box ~2.25 cubes, tuned at 32hz, with a Fi Q 12. If it were possible, I would build a ported box to suit the (2) Fi SSD 12's, but I just don't think I have adequate room right now. My questions are: 1.) which setup will sound better overall? 2.…

Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I am about to build a new box for my Fi BTL 15'' and I was wondering what aero ports are? I know this may sound stupid but basically what I want to know is if they can be used instead of a slot port in a ported enclosure that will be used daily for music? Can you still pick a tuning frequency? I was looking to tune at 32hz with a box volume of 4.5 cubes. And lastly, is there a benefit to them over a slot port design? Thanks!

Which glue is better to use on recones, the CA glue that comes with some kits, or 15 minute epoxy. Apparently FI doesnt send ca glue with a recone kit, they told me to use 15 minute epoxy. Thanks

I am looking for a pair of 12" subs to be powered by a pair of ma audio hk802sx amps. 1 sub per amp. Years ago i did the same thing with two boss pd4000s and two power acoustik mofo 12" subs. It was a very loud setup and i am trying to beat that intense feeling that setup gave me. My money has grown up so i have better amp and sub options now. I installed 2 MB QUART 6" speakers 6 months ago in my front doors. I rescently heard a cracking noise coming from one of the front speakers in my integra (Left Door). When I removed the door panel the speaker stopped playing but if I apply a little pressure to the cone with my finger it starts plaing once more. Is it possible that the coils are faulty or is it something else.

Well earlier this year i had a crossfire vr2000@1ohm around 3kw on a dd 9515g in a Pete K. designed t-line. I really like the output through a broad range of frequencies, and plan to do another t-line setup. However i think i could have made a better choice for woofers I have a 2006 nissan frontier (the bigger ones), have quite a bit of room if neccessary. Undecided on an amp to power it but will be at least 3kw with proper alt and batts. I have installed two sets of PG RSD6.5 comps with 100 watts per channel still running passive for now. i think the two sets of comps ran active would almost keep up with the system i have in mind. i ordered a 2 ohm fi btl 18 what ohm amp should i get to power it

if i bought a 2 ohm btl would i need a 1 ohm stable amp?

Does this seem like overkill or could it lead to some pretty decent mids and highs?

First post, but i do have more on ca.com. Just wanted to see if anyone could help me out over here. Well i just installed my soloX 10" into a new box today 2 cubes at 32hz and i am having some issues. It hits the lows real good now, which is why i changed the box, but when it hits a high note (such as the high note in young jeezy: hypnotize) it seems as though the sub is sucking in instead of hitting out, almost like the pos/neg is reversed. I have checked the wires 3 times and all is fine there. Also, when it is sucking in it makes a terrible slapping sound like the cone is bottoming out. What gets me is i didnt have any trouble out of it when it was in the last box ( 2.…

has anybody owned these subs? I just bought a 15" and put in a prefab ported box, gets loud but not low enough.. Is 35hz a good tune?
