alright dilemma time and I need some help. right now Im looking at running two fi 18 bls off a audioque aq3500d in about 12 cubes so my question is is that too much power for them fully loaded any other sub suggestions would be greatly appreciated p.s Im 16 and money is tight so keep that in mind

Can anyone help me out. I have a 2002 S-10 ext. cab and for my sub amp I have a Infinity 611a which is around 650 watts @2ohm. I want to use 3 RE RE-10D4 but someone suggested 2 SR-12D2. I listen to a lot of rap bass heavy music and I just sold my L7 12 for a CVX 12 then I found RE. The reason for wanting to use those subs is $. I can purchase either setup for $150. Will the 3 10's or 2 12's output match the L7 or CVX ? I need some serious help with this and what type of box, sealed or ported. Thanks

Look at those lovely 17" Rims Sold on my other ones & got these instead. Front Wheel. Rear Wheel. And look what`s in the Vectras Boot On the left a Hawker Odessey PC2150 An Incriminator Audio 20.1 sort of in the middle. And don`t forget the 12" version of the 15" Stereo Integrity magnums I have in the Escort. The box is 2.5 Cu.Ft. before sub & port displacement and is tuned to 28Hz. I`ve still got to neaten a few things up. But the whole lot is not fitted permanently, everything is wedged in place as this stuff only gets fitted before it attends sounds offs etc - it takes literally minutes to fit or remove everything. Anyone have a favorite 6" sub? JL 6w0, Adire Audio 6", Rockford 6"? Looking for something for the rear deck of the Saturn. toss some baffles in there so they aren't going free air.

So I got my 2 sets of 6.5s for my envoy the other day in the mail. But the weather sucks andi have no garage or expertise in installing then.... so anyone around kokomo with a garage and tools feel like helping me out??? Lol

I've often seen that running a sub at lower impedance will increase distortion. Is it possible to generalize at all in this question? For a given sub, you have to try it out, or is it possible to say that at a final load of 4 ohm, you are unlikely to percieve distortion? I am asking because, if there is a risk, it might affect both amp and sub choice due to monetary limitations.

I currently have a 3cuft3 box tuned at 40hz for my Soundstream SPLX sub @ 1k rms. I found out that the box is way to big for this sub thats why it sounds like the bass is "lagging". I have looked around and found that the Mach5 SPL 12" is the best for price to performance ratio but i have a couple questions that you guys might be able to answer. What size box will i need and whats the best tuning frequency for a loud daily running 2k rms (Unless thats to much) And will i have to order one from the US as i am from Australia but the Aus site only lists the SPL 15" not the 12" and my email hasn't been replied to. well i was playing some new tracks and then i opened my trunk and felt weird smell from woofer, it's playing great but there is some kind a smell, like glue is burning or something, and dust cap gets a little bit warm, am i pushing it too far ? I got 15" JBL rated 350W RMS running it @ 4ohms 500W RMS

Im wanting to purchase new subs for my explorer once i get my tax return. i previously had 2 15" kicker L7s in a ported box power by a memphis mojo 2400 amp. id like to stick around paying a 1000.00 for subs/amp/head unit. maybe a little more. id still like to get 2 15's. i had the last sytem 4 years ago so ive been out of the loops on good sub/amp combos. could i get some recommendations please. im wanting to be very loud, not to worried about SQ either.

My speakers are installed with RIVETS!!! Now I get to drill those out, then buy some adapter plates just to install new ones.

Just like the title says. I plan on getting 2 12's and SA-12 seems perfect for my budget. I plan on spending about 400 on subs. Also will an SAE 1200 work well with these? Any info is appreciated.

I was thinking of taking the subwoofer out of my room and putting it in my truck(temporarily) until I buy my stuff I want. It has an RCA' and positve and negative wire. I was thinking connect the power to my remote wire, the negative to the ground and RCA to RCA. Is this a really bad idea? or what? Thanks guys

First off i would like to announce that im an idiot, and i posted in the wrong section earlier this evening... now to my question.... I got a 92 toyota pickup, and i refuse to cut the bed, so i want to build a box behind my seat... I can get the box at about 1cf i think and still be able to fit the amp in the back... so i was interested in getting a d2 '12 so since i cant physically see the woofer, i would see what you guys think... can it be done.. you guys ever seen your sub in a wedge application and is 1cf enough for the sub... i have a rockford punch 800rms @4ohms.. is that gonna be enough to push it in a smaller box like that?? ive heard nothing but great things abo…

I need help deciding on these.i got a punch 1000bd and it does 811 rms @ 2ohms(this would be for the mj-18s) and 1215@1ohm for the maw 15s.I got the whole bed of my truck for box room.so i could build a little bigger more efficient box for the 18s since my power is a little low.I got plenty for the 15s,i was just considering the 18s because ive never had 18s and i like LOW bass.no contests just me listening and maybe a little showin off at work.Which would be better for my taste.18s would be awesome if i got enuff to power them.but if the 15s would be louder with 400 more watts than the 18s i may go that route.ive emailed mark at mach 5 and havent gotten any responses.tha…

I am looking into replacing my front stage right now and was wanting some advise on which way to go. My budget is $500 for just the speakers in a 2-way setup. I drive a 4 door 99 Grand Am and have no speakers in the rear. My current front stage consists of the Focal 165KF running passive. The Focals sound good in the higher ranges but lacks greatly in the lower ranges. I am not looking at getting louder just more low end and detailed. I cross my sub around the 50-60hz range and would like to bring my front stage close to that range also. I am looking to better the staging in my car. Well I know MB Quart was bought by Rockford Fosgate a few years ago and the quality of their speakers went down. Now MB Quart is owned by Maxxsonics...the makers of HiFonics, Crunch, and Autotek. Are the new line of MB Quart speakers any good? I have a set of MB Quart speakers made the year before they were bought by RF and I love them....but will their new speakers be as good? I'm looking at the Premium line specifically.

Well I have a 2005 Scion XA hatchback, will be running either a memphis MCD-1000 or a sundown SAE-1000d. I listen to metal, rap, and drum n bass mostly, and I am thinking that the 12" BL will be the sub for me. I am looking for loud and deep, with the ability to keep up with the drums in metal. I am just looking for advice as to whether or not this is a good sub choice, and should I go ported, and how should I tune it?

I used to pair it up with a FI BL 18" but since I bought a new car, a 240sx, I must now think smaller. Im thinking two SSD's to be paired with the 1500D but im not looking forward to the hassle and the wait of shipping into Canada (Vancouver). If anyone has any other suggestions that would help, im hoping i dont have to shop online.

Has anyone experienced with different sealed box sizes for a MAg 12.....i have my Mag in a ported box now (2.75 cubes tuned to 35hz....and before it was in was 2.32 cuft tuned to 32hz) and i think i am going to see what the MAG will do sealed cause i would like a smaller box. I would like to know how the sound of it changes as the sealed box gets bigger and smaller.... BTW....this is right now powered by a ZR360 (530 watts) and may be down the road powered by a ZR600(~800 watts) if i ever get it fixed. So what size sealed box in the .5 to 1.5 cuft sealed box range has been best for ya'll NICK......CHIME IN!!! Scott, SC

I have a Toyota Tundra Regular cab with a sealed 12" Kicker 06TCVT122 400RMS at 2ohms powered by a Kicker ZX400.1 and was looking upgrading to a 15" AA Havoc in a 3.5cuft ported box @ 30hz with either a Sundown Audio 1500D or 1000D. Heres some pics of my available space LxW 60"x18" However, do to my limited space I don't think thats possible so I was also thinking of getting the 15 in a sealed box or two 12 sealed, what do you guys think?

what is the differance in a Double Stack or Tripple Stack sub ??? how does it affect the preformalce ?
