alright guys so i was pretty much set on 4 sa-10's in the trunk of my civic for my next project i want to do...until i came across the AA arsenal. I see that the arsenal works well in a smidge smaller ported enclosure which is good and also i see that the arsenal has a sensitivity of about 85db 1w/1w and the sa-10 is around 81 i believe. Not too sure how big of a difference that would be but on paper it looks pretty good haha. So my question to you all that may have had one of these or installed any is what do you think of the AA arsenal? Is it more of a sq subwoofer or is it more of a spl sub. How would it compare to the sa-10? There pretty much in the same price range a…

As I was making some room in my Jeep to get ready for my big move, I took out the subs and noticed that one of them had the dustcap loose and shreds of paper were in the box! Thankfully, the cone didn't shred. The sub still functions but it looks awful. Oh well, part of the game I guess.

I hope I can get some help here. I hooked up my SI 302 components tonight. They are in their temporary location until I figure out the best spot for the best sound. They are currently located where the stock speaks would go on my door of my 1999 Olds Alero. There are no door panels on currently. The mids are mounted pretty well onto a double MDF baffle that is 1.5" thick. The doors are as sealed as I could possibly get. They have a layer of liquid sound deadening on the inside of the door cavity and the skin of the door. Over this is a layer of mat type deadening. They are being run off of the bridged front and rear channels of a Memphis Belle. Now my dilemma. …

Hello all. I can't remember for the life of me but does a coil impedance tend to rise slightly or fall slightly after a sub has broken in. Planning my second sub soon and the first was supposed to be dual 1. Showed up with one at 1.4 and one at 1.6 brand new. Last i checked one was a 1.8 and the other a 2 Kinda confused me as I had ordered a dual 1. Dc offers a dual 1.4 and I wonder if they hadn't sent me the wrong load to begin with.

I got curious and wanted too check out the ohm reading on my sub, so i just disconnected the speaker cable from my amp, then put the probes of my dmm on the the positive and negative cables. The dmm says its wired to 1.8-2.0 ohms. Is this normal? or by some mistake do i have a d4 ohm sub? I have a SS RL-p 18 d2, wired in parallel to my sundown saz1000d. thanks!

Hi guys.. I have been working away feverishly on my car to make it seriously custom.. And its nearly there.. couple of minor touch ups needed from where there were small runs, but you can probably see how far its come from the pics I have painted it with Holographic Micro pearl flake, which shifts from orange to green or not at all depending on the light angle. Here is the car looking neutral and shiny.. http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i174/tim.../DCP_0043-2.jpg Some green... Some orange.. In this pic you can see the shift.. follow up the rear pillar from left to right, the orange is shifting into the green I have removed the Lexarse esque tails and replaced them wi…

Well I think enough time has passed and all the reps have read the newsletter so I'm going to divuldge a little bit of info. First, we are making new drivers. They will be silver 12 basketed with new moving assembies and a completely new motor. Pricing is going to go down a smidge instead of just staying the same. Here's a few pics because that's all the info for now. PS: Just one pic for now. This is first proto using our existing motor. Another proto is being made with our new motor very soon.

Hey guys I haven't a system like this ever. I have http://www.atrendusa.com/bbox/vehicle-specific-carpeted/dodge?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=203&category_id=59. So only like .6ft^3 each. I need some subs that are no more than say $130 each and will work with 250-300 each. I thought about reusing my amp the jl xd 500/3 300x1 at 2 ohm. But I don't think that will be enough power for 2 subs. I need to watch the mounting depth as well. No more than 5.75" with vented pole piece. I thought about JL 10w1v3 or 10w3v3. Im not a big fan of jl subs but they work great in this enclosure size. It is going in a 2007 dodge ram 1500 quad…

So I get tired of the "why?" and "that's just a stupid waste" so i just go and do my own thing. But here, tell me what YOU would do to get MY results. (not yours). I want super mad lows. 18Hz-29Hz. I do NOT care about 30Hz-60Hz for the sake of this argument. From 29Hz on DOWN. I have no HO alt (yet). I have 4 guage wiring all the way around. I have a BXi2608D that I do NOT have to use all of. I can easily turn the gains down so I get a super clean super easy 600 watts RMS if I want, but I have up to 2600 if I NEED it. I have 38" tall in front available, 32" tall in back, 42" wide to use up all of my hatch for an enclosure, wall preffered. I spent $240 shipped. IF I had an…

between these three subs..... 1) sid2 12" 2) re sx12" 3 re xxx12" the sub i chose will be pushed by a hifonics bx1500d @ 1 ohm(whooohooo 1500wrms!!) and put into a ported enclosure( recommmended by the manufactor, of course) in the trunk of my wife's grand prix. i am looking for loud and clean and a price in the $300-$350 range. since this is the wife's car, i want to try something different, ie..no JL, rf,treo, memphis, eclipse, clarion, diamond or anything i can get from local dealers. so..any other suggestions? i will be buying in the next week or so! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I got my fiberglass box done sorta. It is done to the point that I can get an internal volume. I packed about 15 gallons of packing peanuts in there. That gives me roughly 2 cubic feet. I know peanuts are not the most accurate, but that seemed like the easiest way. So anywho, I have about 1200w to throw at a Magnum that I am gonna get. Should I go ahead and put something in there to take up some space or let it ride and see how it goes? Then make it smaller if need be? Do you trust the peanut method? I don't want to buy a bunch of sand and then have to vacuum it out. What do you guys think? Thanks - Jim

I am still up in the air about what i want to do with the limited amount of space i have available in my car. i remeasured everything and i realistically have about 3.5 cu ft gross to work with. I am pretty decided on building a nice baffle and facing into the cabin with subs. not sure if i should port forward or into the factory 6x9 openings in the rear deck. If i port forward, i am not sure if i should go with aeros or slot it. if i did it through the rear deck i guess that i would have to do aero ports. As for subs, i can either go dual 10" or 1 12, maybe 2 12"'s if they are lower Qts. This is a temporary install as well, but i need it to be somewhat decent. So i gues…

I just got it from my uncle, it's an Orion 15", it says "The hott set-up" on the front, the sticker is pealed off the magnet so I have no idea how many watts it is or how many ohms the coil is, or even the model number. I'm not gonna try emailing Orion because the last time I did that, they sent me 7 PDFs that were all the wrong subwoofer, and then stopped replying to my emails. Anyone know anything about this subwoofer? I can post a pic if needed.
