I got a alpine pdx 1.600 and an infinity kappa perfect 10.1 sub....as the only sub. Is it gonna blow it/make it sound like chit? The RMS is 600 on the amp, and 350 RMS on the sub.

I just bought some Kicker 1/0 gauge power wire kit and I'm having a difficult time figuring out how exactly I'm supposed to get the thick 1/0 wire into the ANL Fuse holder(which came included with the Kicker amp kit by the way). Here are some pictures to show you exactly what I'm talking about. Thanks in advance. I'll check back real soon as I would like to continue the install tomorrow if time permits. Ps. How do I post up an image. It will only let me link an url.

Does anyone know where the t/s parameters to the 18's of either the 9500 or the hdc3 can be found? I am trying to get a box designed but the companies don't have them posted that I can see.

Doing a system to my 2008 sierra ext. cab... I already have a kicker ZX700.5 amp and CDT EF-61i comps... Also going with the alpine IVA-W205 head unit... I'm looking for a little help on what sub I should look into... Looking for one 10" for a sealed in the .65 to 1.0 net vol. range.. Will be under back seat... With stock seat height I'm looking at a 5.5" mounting depth... but I'm looking at raising the back seat 3/4" max with wood blocks... If I do this it puts me up too 6.25" mounting depth.... The kicker will be feeding the sub around 400-500 watts rms @ 2ohm. IF I can get the seat high enough I am going with a sound splinter rli-10... IF raising the seat don't work …

Sup.. I haven't posted on here in ages because I took an lil break from car audio for an while, but with every other hobby you get that itch again and get tired of not having bass in your vehicle. I'm in a lil dilemma here. I can't make up my mind on choosing on what subwoofers I should go with. I really want 2 10" because I've never ran 2 10s before. Only 12's, that's only what I have room for seeing that my trunk is really not that big..Here's what im aiming for. 2 10" ssa dcon 2 10" sa-10 or 1 12" sa 12 2 10" sdc2.5 1 12" hdc312 copper coil Also on each particular setup, what would be the suitable amplifier is recommended and I'm going to be build my own ported bo…

Ok, i just purchased an Autotek 750.1, and was told that it should put out just under 1K watts. Ive been trying to decide if i want to buy another Q for this amp so i can upgrade later on, or buy a SSD for now. This is kinda a budget build until i get enough cashflow to do what i truly want. (which is 2 15" Qs with BP ported) So my main question is, will the SSD and the Q sound basically the same off 1K watts, with the same enclosure, or will the SSD be louder since its taking a lot of power for it, vs the Q which is really just getting started. Also, what are the main advantages/disadvantages to both drivers? Ive owned a Q before and loved it, so im pretty set on…

I have been looking at the Loaded SSA Icon, the Fi Bl, SI Mag, and a couple other subs but cannot decide on a size. I want to keep most of my cargo are in my Durango, but want to ensure that my sub will get plenty loud. Will a single 12 with 1,200-1,600 watts be up to the task of getting loud or should I sacrifice a little more room and go with a 15? Also, I would like to be able to run sealed if possible but ported will be fine, retain some SQ, while feeling it in my chest, if possible. Any help would be great.

To run from my alt to my Sub amps, the guy said I could get away with it, if I put in a special fuse.... I am So just kidding, don't shoot.... Not even ure how I came up with that as I was typing... lol... But, Seriously on the speaker wire, think 12 ga would be decent enough to run from the amp (100.4) to the cross overs to the mid/tweet sets(Polk MM6501s)??? I was getting ready to oder some power wire and I was like, Ohhh, I need some speaker wire too.... Thinking about just buying a spool of 12 ga Stinger from Darvex... I would like to oder it all from one place if I can... If I have any left over, which I'm sure I would, I'll just keep it around for a future install…

I really want a 18, extremely bad but I have been lead away from it due to trunk space. My question is, if I put a SSD 18 in a 5.5 cuft box how would it sound compared to a SSD 15 in a 3cuft box. I wouldn't have a problem fitting the 15 in but the 18 would be a snug fit, but its much more appealing.

I was wondering if you guys could educate me on the topic of horns in the car audio environment. I am looking into incorporating them into my truck (S-10) when I start working on the front stage, most likely with some Dayton Reference or AA 6.5's in kicks. What I would like to know is the basics on horn install in a car, what to look for, if you can go passive, or active is a must, the basics of an active install, what kind of equipment is the best, stuff like that. Any info that can be provided would be awsome -Thanks

I want sql, i want subs that are tight as can be but still hit you in your chest and get loud. My atlas 15s are loud but just not quite loud enough, my bro still thinks his audiobahns were better, so i need louder, but still tight bass. here's what i'm considering, feel free to suggest other subs but keep them 15s, keep them round, and keep them non-mainstream, if a 15 year old will know what it is, i don't want it the top of the list is the ones i'm leaning towards, only 3 in the list as of now though 1. Stereo Integrity Mag 2. Soundsplinter LMT 3. Ascendant Audio Avalanche -maybe should be in 2nd i've heard great things about the mags, the soundspliter seems t…

  21. does anyone out there by chance have a file made for WinISD pro alpha? for 15 inch magnum. i had it but lost in durring reformatting (yeah i used to be a computer nerd hehe) but now when i try to make one with the updated alpha pro it says stuff is missing and i need more specs. but on the bright side, it seems the updated pro alpha might be more accurate with magnums? i know lots of stuff looked really crummy on paper wth it in the old pro alpha, but modeling up a 12incher ported in there (yes i kept 12 inch files) it had a better F3 than the ported 15s from the old version.

  24. Ok guys, I am going to do my best to describe my setup and goals for my next system. Please help if you have had experience with any of these subs! Right now I am running: 2007 Chrysler 300C 1- Fi Q15 4 cubes tuned to 30 hz. Cadence iA7 Optima Battery Big 3 I really like my Q but I want something LOUDER. I am willing to sacrifice some SQ for SPL. I miss my head splitting bass!!! However I DO NOT want to rid of the low end output that i love so much. Im sure any of these subs will sound good enough to suit my needs... that being said which one will be the loudest and still low on approx 1200w RMS power and i will make a new ported box to suit any subs need.
