Hey there guys im hoping u can give me some advice. Im in the need for a new front stage and im at a crossroads? The two im looking at right now are the Alpine pro series or Rainbow soundline SLCkickers. But open to other ideas. Im willing to spend about 350 on the comps. The doors are 6.5's SYSTEM: ... A Fi 12SSD sub in a sealed box with an AQ1200D Amp wired at 2ohms. Giving it 870watts to the sub. as of right now i have a RF punch 360.2 amp powering the comps. giving them about 150 Watts. But going to get the AQ4x90 when it comes out in six weeks, and have it bridged to 2 Channels give the comps about 240 watts. Thanks for the help in advance. ***Watts given are wha…

2.6" deep 6.5" with 11.5mm one way 6.5" midbass/midrange good untill 7khz. The 4 ohm has an f3 of 53hz IB. .4-.7cuft suggested for kicks The 8 ohm extends to 40hz in a ported alignment 1.4 cuft tuned to 38hz. Or to 58hz in a ported alignment 0.6 cuft tuned to 50hz While this is a very exceptional midbass, the Omega is superior both in terms of midrange quality and output full range. This design was created since we realize not everyone can fit the omega... This mid also has a black paper cone Aluminum former (non hexy) Very high temp 10 layer coil (250C, 300C max wire with 600C adhesive) The Delta also comes in both a 4 and 8 ohm variety and is self shielded for use in h…

In a thread i started earlier i said i was looking to get an icon for my subs, but now that im very close to having the money to have the system put in im starting to lean towards the kicker comp vt for my subs. I was wondering if anybody had any expirence with these subs and if they are worth the money. If i got them i would get 2 twelves and a kicker dx 1000.1 to run them and they will be going behind the back seat of my single cab ford pickup.

Looks like I will be competing with Treo this coming season. Just won an auctin for a CSX 15" built for SPL (no pole vent). It does have a blown coil but for $100 shipped I am not complaining. It is going back to Treo anyway to get enlarged to an 18" with quad coils. Hmmmm, quads. So it looks like Treo and Concept for me this season. I will post some pics of the 15" when I get it and of the 18" when it returns!

Dont know if any of you have heard of Rival Sub woofers but the guy who designed these subs I think has done a good job. He has his own car audio shop Rival Mobil Electronics about 40 miles from me and I have had the opportunity to hear a few vehicles that have these Rival sub woofers in them and they are performers. Here is a few vids of the vehicles. This vid he has more power 7200rms clamped. Now for the s-10 which is a sweet build on two 12" Rivals And the Owner's name is Bill and he has a pretty loud jeep with 4 12" Rivals in a wall that has done over 156db this vid has a good view of the subs. Here is his 155.2db score was not his higest

  7. I just recently bought a pair of IVX 12's on impulse because of the sale, ha. They're rated at 300 rms, conservatively (As stated on their website). I've also heard that Skar is just booming like crazy, and getting all sorts of comp wins. Anyways, anyone here have any experience with how much clean power the IVX's can take?

Since Mach5 is heading down my way soon (Australia), i'd love to get one or more of these in my car, a 95 Hyundai Excel (Accent for you North Americans). I see everyones using them for HT setups, but no-ones using them in their rides, only the MJ-18's. Can it be done, or do i have to use the MJ's? Got 8-ish cubes in the back, or almost 20 if i decide to wall it Cheers.

Been a while since I've posted on here, but I still have my Fi Btl 18" on a sundown saz3000d. However, I'm wanting to try something new and perhaps smaller. I'm in a toss up between ssa xcon, icon, or fi ssd. I'm wanting to do 2 12" subs, same amp, i listen to all types of music. I'm just wanting to get more acoustical sound in the sub stage, and go with a smaller box and hopefully have some nice sounding lows with as much output as the 18", if that makes any sense. I'm also open to any other sub suggestions. Thanks in advance!

I have my 18" fi ssd running off a Sundown sax-1200d... I really want to upgrade or try something new, but I don't really want to spend tons.. If i don't get another 18 that can fit the box I already have, then I will probably just build a sealed box next. Some ideas i had but need input on are, an 18" xcon if I could find one used or a 18" btl used.. these could fit in my box already and use same tuning. OR I thought about like 3 SA-10's sealed? because someone on here has 4 sa-10s for sale.. But I dont know if sa-10s sound good/loud sealed, and are 3 sa-10s going to be much of an upgrade to an 18" ssd?.. I wish I could get like 3- 10" icons but noone has them used eve…

  12. After a year resisting, I finally gave up and got a 15" Magnum to run in my daily driver. Should have done it a long time ago, but you know how that can be. After the Magnums I've heard lately, I can't wait to get this put in this weekend and rocking in the Stratus. It's going in a little different box than most, so we'll see how it works out, but based on the specs, this flared slot chambered transmission line should work absolutely flawlessly, and be a low end monster while not giving up too much on the top end either. I'll have to ride up to Mooresville and let Nick check it out and tell me what he thinks once I get everything worked out, and I'm happy with the en…

I currently have the new alpine type x components on my 90mazda b2200 installed on some custom kick panels i made and dont like how they sound. I just purchased 4 10s Savard Rap subs that i plan on installing them in the back space of the seats. So im looking for drivers that could keep up with subs but maybe little more vocal. Im not going for SPL or SQ, something in between. I was thinking of adding 2 5” drivers per door wired down to 4ohm and 2 tweeters per door “ or maybe gonna install in A/C vents” down to 4ohm as well. The amp i have for vocals is a Twisted Sounds 150.4. I was planning on raw drivers madisound or PE, with budget of around 40-70 per driver depending …

I have a RF Power T500-BD the birthsheet is rated at 762 @ 1 ohm I want to run 2 subs in sealed enclosure 1^3 ft per enclosure. I was looking at the Audioque SDC2.0 12 its dual 4 ohm sub rated at 250 watts rms. I was also looking at the HDC312 which is rated @ 1000 watts rms and the Sundown SA-12 rated @ 600 watts rms to put in my 2^3 box and don't laugh I never owned Kicker subs before but I found a pair of CVR's for $150 with free shipping. I'm trying to stay around $250. The HDC312 is $260 including shipping and it looks like a beast of a sub to own and I'm really leaning towards that it.

Magnum's are coming! 12" and 15" versions will be available on (estimated) February 27'th. The baskets that we previously used (the "claw" basket) are no longer available...ever. The company that made the baskets went out of business. The baskets we will be using are the 12-spoke baskets finished in a silver/gray powder coat. Pricing on the 12"s is $300 shipped (as usual), and the 15" versions will be $350 shipped*. *Pricing on the 15's is subject to change after we receive the drivers. $350 shipped is only for orders received before we obtain the shipment. Pre-orders are now being accepted for the 12's and 15's.

Hey guys, I'm looking for my first system! I want 2 12"s. I dont want to pay more than 250 a piece for each sub. I'm trying to stay under 1600 RMS for the two subs combined. I'm really choosing between 2 12" Fi SSD's, 2 12" Diamond Audio D6's, or 2 12" Alpine Type R's. I'm going to be putting them in a ported box as i listen to a lot of rap and hip hop. Which setup would be the best? Thanks guys.

I was running the REX10's with a Hifonics 1500D @ 4 Ohms which was overpowering them a bit but meh happens.(Amp is 1 Ohm stable) Alright so heres the dilemma I'm looking at either SA10s or E10s.(I listen to Rap/Rock) Currently I have a 3/4 MDF 2.0 cu ft box with 2 separate chambers and L ports tuned to 38 Hz (Also have a Sealed box laying around with .69 cu ft per chamber I believe) Now I'm only currently purchasing 2 with the intent of purchasing another 2 in the future. 25. Ok you guys, decided I would try to put 8" Kicker Comps in each door, along with my cadance mids and titanium super tweets. For full-range sound in doors (lows, mids, and highs) it will be in a new sealed fiberglassed pod mounted to door. Any input?? I've heard someone use them (kicker 8') for their mids, so I thought id try em out. I;ll let you all know how it'll sound.
