this would most likely go in a ford fusion and i love to listen to chopped and screwed music (im bumpin some real talk by trae chopped up right now ) so i obviously like it low.Ive made some previous post about 2 BL's with a mtx 92001 but now that im seeing the icons in all these crazy setup im thinkin i want a pair!! the videos are blowin my mind, my budget is no more then 2000 grand for everything, and i know the BL set up will be more unless i buy everything used but i really dont like doin that.So what setup will MOST likely get lower/louder (loud to me is having bass that is head pounding in ur face bass ) but i also love btutal low end bass. So what do you think wil…

I was sent a Mach 5 SPL 12 to test. I recieved it today and checked it out really well as far as build quality and design. My 1st impression when I opened the cardboard box was hmmmmmm, a crate. I didn't know they came in crates, which caught me off guard at first. While I like the way the crate looks, it really didn't protect the subwoofer any better than a box with foam padding. Upon opening the crate, the foam was in tact, but the wood was busted up pretty badly, however, the subwoofer sustained no damage as far as I can tell, so it did it's job. Now for the good things I noticed upon initial inspection: o Glue joints are flawless, there's no excess glue anywhere…

I'm wondering if anyone has positive experience or success running or a two-way subwoofer for the task of LSQ. I know two-way subwoofer systems aren't popular, at least today, but with enough planning I don't see why someone couldn't take advantage of multiple drivers to split the task of subwoofer duties and make tremendous gains in output without investing in a power plant of amplifiers to drive a single woofer to frequencies it simply isn't efficient at. Putting it into practice, achieving low bass (lets say 45-80Hz) is fairly difficult to achieve with my equipment in my car. But getting sub-bass, 15-40Hz isn't much trouble for me. Now rather than sacrifice on the 15-…

im seeing some great reveiws for this cheap set of comps. the stock locations in the doors is a 5.25 and i can get the pg rds-5cs for 80$ shipped. i havent found a set of 6" anywhere but i did find a 6.5" set on ebay for 120$. is 40$ worth the money? will the difference in size make much difference? does anyone have a better price for the 6.5" or 6"? id like the added midbass but for another 40$ idk if i wana spend that on speakers or the amp... im also not sure if i can get the 6.5" in the door. the 5.25s are mounted in a plastic (not sure how to describe it..) extrusion in kind of like a kick... but anyways there is hole behind that plastic thing which may, along with…

Hey, I'm currently running a Soundsplinter rli-8 (s4) driven by a Sundown 100.2. I just dropped in the Sundown last night (got it on the sale) and wow what a difference compared to the Rockford Fosgate 325.2 that I was running. Loud and culeeeen! Since this is just an 8, of course it has trouble going down low low with any real punch. Not a complaint, it's a freakin 8 and I can't believe what it is capable of. So I'd like to drop in a Soundplinter RLP D2 w/ a Sundown 1000D. Question: Will I be better off just letting the 12 do all the work, or could I get louder by running the 12 from say, 20-50Hz or so, and the 8" up to 80Hz or so? I'm not looking to get rid of the 8, …

Is a true 1500 watts too much for a single Fi Q 18" to handle with the BP option? I was trying to decide between going this route, or going with a dual 15" setup with a 2500watt amp...I'm leaning towards the 18 since it'll be cheaper and more electrically friendly. (vehicle is a dodge magnum)

Well long story but i have a 95 toyota camry 4 door, this is the first car i ever got. Got it when i was 16, wrecked it that same year, now its almost done being fixed and i am currently 18. But now that it is almost done i am excited because it is a nice car to put a good system in it. So i was wondering what kind of speakers to put in my car. The HU i wanted to go with was the Kenwood Excelon x792. The speaker sizes are 6.5" in the front and 6x9" in the rear. I like speakers that give really nice sound quality and i listen to all types of music but mostly hip hop. Also i wanted something that is going to be loud too. I plan on amplifying it as well. So any ideas on what…

I have an 18" TC 5200 and it works just fine, however, one of the tinsel leads came off from the spider and there is a hole in the spider. There are also some marks on the coil, not sure if its coil rub or what exactly since I dont hear any coil rub. The driver still functions just fine and I've been using it in its condition for several months now, but I would like to have a sub with no flaws, I guess I'm just picky like that. I was wondering who can recone the sub or perhaps get me a new top assembly to match the adapter I have. I might even be interested in another driver, but of course, I'd prefer to go the route that saves the most money. Any suggestions would be …

My friend has a 15'' audiobahn, here is the link: http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/Pr...ProductID=13516 Right now he has it in a sealed box but i really feel it would sound better, or at least alot smoother in a ported box. I havent made a ported box yet, but im ready to try. But my question is, size and tuning for this sub. I looked all over for manufacture recomendation for atleast size recs for a ported enclosure but could not find anything. I was thinking maybe a tuning to 32hz or so, but not really sure. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike B.
