Its getting closer to that time, where the monies is almost ready for installation I ran a search, but didn't find anything. I figured its because they're spl subs, but what would you recommend for this bad boys on a daily setup. Thanks mark and anybody else that contributes.

Do you think the Zed minilith would be a good amp to power my SI 15 or should I keep my Concept CC-D1200. TheCC1200 has a few issues but has more power than the Zed but the Zed has a nicer build and can make more than the rated 600rms. But I like to have the overhead. Also the 15 has a slightly softer suspension, correct, than the 12? So having 1200rms on tap isn't needed. Who knows.

I've given serious consideration to selling my D2 12 and purchasing a 15. At the moment, however, I would only be able to throw 460 watts rms at the thing. My 12 in a 2 cube box at 28 hz gets louder than I ever need it to with that many watts but will the 15 respond the similarly? I do plan on upgrading to a 1000 watt amp sometime in the future but it wouldn't be for at least another couple of months. I would probably put the 15 in a 2 -2.5 cubic ft sealed box, but space really isn't an issue. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Mike

I am thinking about re-doing my setup and would like some opinions. I am thinking about moving my 4 DP21"s to the passenger side, and port on drivers side. Then the idea for 8 15"s started creeping into my head. The subs in each setup will be on 2k wrms each, so it's not really a fair comparison since it will be twice the power with the 15"s, but o well. The 8 15"s would be on bottom with the port across the top most likely. Some of the subs I have been considering for the 15"s are: BTL's, new DP's, Lvl 5's, and Exos. Right now I am leaning towards the Atmos Exos. Wall is in an 03 Expedition at the B-pillars, 40 cubes and will be tuned somewhere between 28 and 32hz. Prob…

Doing a temporary install in the G35 coupe and i am trying to figure out which will work out the best in given space. As some of you know the trunk is extremely small. So far as i know, nobody has ever installed a 15 in there and 10's are about the most that will fit without pulling out the spare tire, tools etc. which i really don't give a damn about anyway So the amp running them will be an MTX 81000d. Rated 1000rms @ 1ohm, 12.5 V so figure on a maximum of 1000-1100 rms real world output Options are as follows: 1) Rockford T210d2 - Box can be about 1.8-1.9 net, with around 40 sq inches of port tuned to about 35hz 2) Adire Brahma 15" - 2.0-2.3 cubes net, sealed 3) Rock…

been out of the loop for about 3-4 years now and dont know whos making what anymore. not looking for anything crazy just something to fill in the low end for the hour long drive everyday. small box, low power, >$100 music- little of a lot. country and rock mostly. a little top 40, hip hop, talk radio.... going in a civic trunk. got an alpine headunit 9855 i think, the one with the "glide" bar at the bottom.? jl 6.5" in the doors with an alpine 2 channel amp. not to brand loyal, but i dont want junk. again nothing fancy just wanna fill out the music. i think a single 10" or 8" will work. so question is whats a "good deal" now a days? - rob

What is there to expect? Will it be the same as a mag, only fitting the lower price bracket? I decided i wont at my age, income status, and everything going on to afford 2 15mags even 1 for that matter... I need suggestions as to what to do. I wish i could do 20.1 and two 15"s but HA! Im dreaming. But i dont want to drop SI, they seem to be a solid company... So With that in mind what will the bm's be looking like, so i can get an idea of how to power them and what not... So I need a budget IA 20.1 2x 15"Mag setup... =) If that makes any sense

im looking for some good 6.5 mids for my 2005 durango. my factory radio is amplified. i will be adding an aftermarket amp for my aftermarket HU for mids. ( i tend to take out all my aftermarket stuff alot(crooks) ) i have a pioneer 6000 deck "new style", 18'' loaded btl; amp got stolen but getting a sundown 3000, but im going to switch between that and my kicker L7 of a us amps 1600.4 bridged at 4 ohms to put 1100 rms to the L7. so there will be plenty of bass. i have tried the alpine type R mids and they did not work for me. i was thinking focal. but ide like to get a few idea's from you guys. and what amp would you recomend on them. thanks. Ok I purchased a new car and am taking out my old audio (which won't fit into the new car) and trying to purchase some new stuff (or used) for my new car. Now I have about 1.3 cu ft of space to work with for a sub... Not much at all but I want good SQ that can get LOUD.... I listen to Rock, Rap, Hip hop, Techno, etc.... Now I really like the 12" JLw6v2 which I would do in a sealed enclosure but I don't know if I can justify the HUGE markup they put on the sub... I know it is a great sub and it sounds great but I'm sure I can do just as well for much cheaper.... I also like that the sub can run off 500 - 600 rms and get loud This is where you guys come into play... I am tr…

As I was making some room in my Jeep to get ready for my big move, I took out the subs and noticed that one of them had the dustcap loose and shreds of paper were in the box! Thankfully, the cone didn't shred. The sub still functions but it looks awful. Oh well, part of the game I guess.
