Is there a decent one? The speakerLite seems a tad limiting.... Some time this week I will know res peak and cabin gain for the truck....time to plug some numbers in and see what happens.....

One of the voice coils on my sub no longer reads 4 ohms. I'm repairing one of my subs right now, and I decided to ohm the other subs just to see if i damaged more than that one. Well one coil is reading 6 ohms instead of 4 ohms. Leads are not broken and they do not seem to be burnt. Coil doesn't appear to be discolored. Any thoughts? Thanks

I have a friend at work who has an older caprice..he had 8 10's crammed in the trunk when I met him.. I told him what I thought.. Not enough room for that many speakers. So he re builds with 6 10's. All kicker subs. He always comes to work bumpin and it sounds like shit IMO.. Long story short he heard my 18" btl in my Tahoe off a saz1500 and he realized he's doing something wrong and now wants advice. I would like to see if he could fit 2 BL 15's in there and he's willing to buy em but I had him give me measurements before anything.. This is what he gave me. W 46 L 32 H 14 He says the 14" is where the trunk latches and if he builds it taller closer to the seats that will…

  7. Im getting 2 Pioneer Premier TS-W3001 subs. Trying to figure out if I need to get the Dual 2 or Dual 4 version if I use a Kenwood Excelon KAC-X1R amp and want to wire it for the full 1200 watts to each sub and in series or parallel? Also same question for a Cadence ZRS-6500D to get the 1200 watts to each sub?

Good evening, my underseat truck setup finally kicked the bucket so I'm going to finally upgrade like I've been wanting to, doing a budget friendly soundqubed setup to match what I have now, (SQ amps and highs and mids) I drive a 2002 F150 supercrew (4 door, 5.5 foot bed) too and powering low end stage off an SQ 2200d. My questions are: 1. Is a regualr ported blowthrough possible with 4 15's ? All I see are 4th or 6th orders around (trust me I have searched a lot) My goals are to be loud, low and clean. I modeled different enclosures with WinISD and I get the best response with a ported box versus a 4th order (probably because of the stupid high QTS). 2. Is a clamshell a…

When does the size of an enclosure start to be too big and start affecting performance? The reason I'm asking is because I was thinking of using the current box I have (it's for a 12") and building a faceplate for it, so I can fit a 10" in it. The box 1.21 cubic feet. I was looking at the 10" Icon, but after displacement there's still about .19 cubic feet extra. Is this too much extra volume?

  15. ok here is my system: the head unit is a pioneer premier 750. the low/mid/high is all set to 0. bass is set at 0. sub control is set at 50 hz. and the level is + 6. my amp is a pg tantrum 1200.1 i'm using to push 2 12's in a 3.8 ft^3 box after sub and port displacement tuned to 30 hz. the bass on the amp is set to 0. x-over is down around 50 hz. i can only turn the gain up about 1/5 up and i hear terrible distortion. if i keep the gain all the way down and turn up the headunit a littl i get terrible distortion. i have my rca cable run on the opposite side of the power wire. these subs don't get loud at all before they distort. my 6.5's get louder than these wit…

I'm getting an enclosure and I haven't seen it yet, but the dimensions I gave were 48x14x?? I want to bolt it to the floor of my car, but I just realized I have a bolt to loosen the spare in the way... the enclosure would cover it. Is there anyway to bolt it on brackets or something to raise it off the floor, so I can gain access to the bolt, while still securing it? Any good ideas? Heres the cut in the rug for the bolt. (It's the U shape in the rug)

Its going to be for everyday play. Thanks in advance.

I want moar midbass on my front. Currently I have the Alpine SPX177A powered by RF T4004. I was thinking of going for a pair of 8" for my mids. Can anyone recommend me a pair for under $200 - 250. Also it can be 7" as long as it can play low and has good midbass. I have 2 15Q on my subs and when I play full tilt, all I can hear is rattle and no mids. Thanks
