From a lot of help from many folks here at SSA, M5, jim, neon and acidburn come to mind(thanks dudes), I decided to go active. I ordered my pio 880 here from SSA because in the end, i've been helped here more and would rather give my hard earned dollars to this place when they are an option. I will be deadening the whole vehicle at some point and doing the doors when I start on the speakers, I cant even figure out how to pop the doors off on this vehicle, and as it's cold as chit I haven't spent anytime on it yet. I just Ordered a pair Of Mach5 MAW-15's I hope they are as awesome as I have heard ppl say they are. All I need now is to save up and get the SAE-1000D. I'll be sure to post Build Logs as I get everything together. Cant Wait

Im wondering what sub i should use with a Kicker ZX750.1 . Im gonna be getting the amp with my next check (i hope) and im wondering what sub i should use with it. Im looking for a single sub setup and prefer using a 12". I have a RE SE atm but i was wondering if there is somthing that will do good off this power, 750 rms @ 2ohm. Ill be using ported and have a good amount of space for a box. My budget is around 200 for a sub. I want somthing thats gonna sounds loud to the ear, dont realy care about on the mic (dont think there are many comps around my area anyway). Hey guys, Just need a few opinions. For the new season, I'm going to go with 2 15's instead of 1. Only thing is, I'm using RE Audio right now, shud I just buy a second RE SX, or I've been looking at the Memphis MOJO 15's or the Digital Design 9515's or the Fi BTL 15's w/ full options. I'm going to be running 2 SAZ-1500d's strapped from Jacob at Sundown . Which ones would be the best bang for my buck? I'll be using this as strictly a SPL setup only. i just picked up an extra 4ohm mj18 and i guess i will be throwing it into my tahoe....since i have a little room to play with i was wondering if one of you guys could please give a good box recommendation for this sub or is the standard 4.5 ported all i need....i would like to have the sub and port facing in the same direction because i just like that combo a lil better....thanks

My RL-S 12" arrives tuesday. I made a post on ca.com which I asked for a design for 2-3 cu. ft. and everyone replied saying I need a much larger box. Although, SS and SSA recomends 2 cu ft minimum and 2.5 optimal. Does anyone happen to know what the smallest cu. ft. box I can put this driver in for good results? Not looking for a perfect response curve, just something decent.

Currently I have cheap crappy Duals from best buy and am looking to upgrade. I am looking for SPL, but SQ is very important as well since it's a daily driver. THey have to be able to take a beating and handle extreme weather as well (both cold and hot). In my search I've found a lot and would like some opinions. I've been looking at stuff like the FI BL, RE MX, and Audioque HDC3. Other people have recommended DC audio as well as T3. Basically I'm looking for a quality sub that's not too expensive, that gets VERY loud while still retaining good SQ. It seems like there is a lot of good subs out there. well got my subs today from the new years sale.one of the boxes was beat up pretty bad but the sub seems fine.Build quality and looks of sub seem very nice.BUT wow what a SOFT suspension.i hope these subs can handle 600 watts each,i know they are rated at 500 but i saw mark post that he'd seen people run 700 on'em with no problems. definitly will go with marks box and port size and lenght suggestions.hopefully he'll answer that for me in this thread.anyway,i look forward to installing my whole setup this coming week,temps forecasted for mid 60s.trying to figure out how to post pics of progress.

Running them off a 100.4 and Pioneer 9800. Filter on the headunit is at a 6 db slope. Gain set around 75 rms, LPF is 2500hrz and subsonic at 200hrz. How do these setting sound? and also vocals can be heard through a speaker like this? Just curious

wanting to do 2 12" in a suv. will be amped wth around 1800wts. cant decide which one to go with . soundsplinter rlp's or fi q's. they will be used in a low tuned ported box. just want some feedback or comments on the two.

I was thinking of getting 2 Mach5Audio MJ-18 Single 4 ohm and running them off my Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 @ 2 ohms in a vented box 48 x 24 x 18 with 90 sq in of port tuned to 30 hz. this would go in inplace of the back seat of my 07 dodge quad cab. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on my box plans? each sub should see around 700 watts. this would be a purely show off setup for truck shows. any thoughts or opinions ??? thanks Chad

Well its official! I just bought 4 Eminence Alpha 12s and 8 Selenium Bullet tweeters. Will be reusing the 8 Alpha 6s I have also. Was going to do 8 6s, 8 8s, 4 12s, and 8 tweets, but its just too much money. Instead of all 100.2s, Ill be running a 100.4 on the 8 6s, a 100.4 bridged on the 4 12s, and a 100.2 on the 8 Bullets. Whats up peeps? I own 2 Massive DMX series 15s & i need help bad!! They're not the stage 2 subs and i cant find any info on them anywhere. I do know that they are dual 2 ohm, they have an inverted black dust cap, rubber surround, and they weigh a ton. I was wanting to put these in my 96 suburban. I need to know what the power handling is and vented box specs. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I need to bring my brahma back from the dead, its been sitting in my garage for over 3 years now (adire audio is no more) and i finally have the motivation to fix it. Where can i find a kit to re-cone and will the replacment effect the xbl2 technology or is that built into the sub itself. Id also need new tincle lead brakets (the things the leads are slolderd too marked + - ) a nice torque twist set would be nice. idk help me out ppl

Hey I am thinking about getting at least one sub for my car. I listen to almost everything. I am looking for something that will sound nice and not too hard hitting. I am looking more for sound quality than noise. I also would like to know what amp I should get to power it. Any help I can get will be much appreciated.
