welll i just ordered my 4 channel and i was planing on running the sundown pro audio mids 8's in my build coming up and i was wondering on what do you think of the nice tweeter that do pretty well with the pro audio mid by sundown??? i was looking at the hertz H28 or maybe the ht25 since they are slightly smaller? or also the audio que pro super tweeter and the cresendo tweeter as well my budget is some what limitless since im not doing the build till like early spring but i dont wanna spend thousands on the pair of tweeters lol any help will me be nice and i know it will be difficult since people have preferences some one might say its to bright while other say it isnt …

Anyone have experience with them? Focusing on sounding good. Been looking mainly at the 33 V1 and the 30 A1. Opinions?

I have a pair of PPI Pro 124's that I am going to be running off a MB Quart DSC 1500.1. The thing I want to know is if anyone has experience with these subs, especially using a ported enclosure. I have heard that they can only be ran sealed so that is why I want to know if anyone ever did port them and how did they sound? Any input would be appreciated.

Hello, I have a 2013 Chrysler 200, and the upgraded 3.5" Kicker coaxial speakers I have in the dash leave a LOT to be desired. I've installed car audio components in my previous cars, but I have never really been successful in achieving a desirable setup; most likely because of my lack of expertise in car audio installation. Okay so, On Saturday or Tomorrow Rather I am purchasing a Driver. Now Which One I get is up in the air. I have narrowed it down to Four different Drivers. Here they are. Eclipse SW7200 Rockford Fosgate P312D2 Mach5 Maw-15 AA Arsenal Series 12"D4 All of these are around the some Rms output, 500. I am getting two of whatever I choose, but since I burn my money quick I am getting one now and one next week. I've researched both Maw 12 and the V-Max 12.x, but I still havent found a clear answer on which one has more SPL and good SQ. I'm also open to other subs in the same price bracket ($100ish) and fits my needs. It seems like once I find one I plan on buying, I find another more options to choose from. I'm building a ported box and buying the amp to match the sub I purchase... which brings me to my other question... ...can someone point me in the direction of an amp ($150ish) they recommend?

I am interested in trying a pair but wasn't sure if I could use them in my rear deck as I would like to.. where would be a great place for them?

So im planning on getting 2 12" xcons I have the money to get one right now. I already have a 12" enclosure. I could order one (when they become available) and use it on the current enclosure while I wait a bit til I can get the 2nd one. My question is, will there be any unbalance or noticeable difference when it comes to the break-in period? If I go this way, by the time I get the 2nd one, the first one might be already breaking in and I wouldn't like unbalanced bass. Sorry if this is a really stupid thread, I dont know if such thing is possible or if humans can even hear such a difference. But I rather ask than regret in the future.

I have a box for my fi btl 12" that is 2.7 cubic feet, and tunned at 34 hertz. . it sounds great best 12 i have evr heard. but i am looking to enetr a comp. soon and was wondering is there was any specs for making an spl box. or better yet some guide lines. like how many hertz should i tune to.

I just sold my BTL and Kicker amp and ordered an SAE-1200d and 2 SA-12's and I still have a bunch of money left over plus I get paid soon so what do you guys reccomend? I want good mid-bass and very clear sound to go with it. I will be ordering a SAX 50.4 to power them. Budget no more than 300.

I have 2 MTX subs and one of them is about to go out the door and blow. I have a RF 501 BD amp 500RMS@ 2ohms and a 3.4cubic foot ported enclosure for the subs. So i need 2 subs that are SVC4 or DVC2. I'm trying to keep this rather cheap but just tell me what subs would work well off about 250 rms each. Of course i prefer spl over sq but dont want the subs to sound ugly. My friend has cvrs and i want mine to sound better than those if possible, but still get loud. Suggestions: ???

im trying to find good mids and highs for my truck my buddy just bought oxygen audio 6 1/2 and there loud as hell but they were $100 a piece and they dont come in pairs. Anyone know of good mids and highs that come in pairs and are not super expensive.

Been looking through all the specs for the three. Well what specs their are for the Xcon. They all seem to be about equal in most aspects. What I'm looking for is a sub that can handle my Sundown 1500d daily, sounds good, will get loud when asked. Looking at the 12" or 15" models due to hight limitations in my car. Have up 3cft to work with. If you can think of another sub that will fit the bill throw it in the mix. This is for a 2005 Focus hatchback. Don't post much here but I thought I would share my setup. I have my 2 SPL 12's in a 4th order bandpass in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. 1.3 cubes per sub on the rear chamber and the front chamber is 7.5 cubes tuned to 55 hz. I need to do some bracing or add a couple more layers but I couldn't wait to give it a listen. They are wired to .5 ohms on my American Bass XD1800 which does 2400 at .5 Since I'm not interested in sq, this setup is right up my ally. these things totally hammer and they aren't even close to getting RMS. They run out of steam around 30 hz (small sealed section) and the enclosure gives a huge peak at 40-50 hz. So far this is my favorite setup. They a…

Hi all, First of all let me start out by saying how happy I am with my 12" ICON I bought almost a year ago. This thing blew me away for the price I paid, but now I want more! Right now my setup is 1 12" ICON powered by a Sundown Audio SAZ-1000d and I have a couple of questions about upgrading... 1) Should I get another ICON or upgrade to 1 XCON? (either setup will probably be going in a sealed box) 2) Was thinking about purchasing another SAZ-1000d and using the master/slave feature to power whichever setup I go with, or would you recommend buying a different amp at like 2000 watts RMS instead of linking two together? Also, cost is important to me.

I have a dcon 12 and plan to run it bridged with a Boston acoustics gt-2125 at 400w rms will that be too much it's a daily driver so I'm not gonna be pushing crazy hard all the time I plan to keep gain low and bass not so high

I want moar midbass on my front. Currently I have the Alpine SPX177A powered by RF T4004. I was thinking of going for a pair of 8" for my mids. Can anyone recommend me a pair for under $200 - 250. Also it can be 7" as long as it can play low and has good midbass. I have 2 15Q on my subs and when I play full tilt, all I can hear is rattle and no mids. Thanks

So i have 2 that say image dynamics and have the logo in the front but thats it. They look pretty old and work, kind of higher bass even in a ported box. Im comparing this to what i had in the exact same box RF Hx2 15. My question is, what are these subs? Has anyone heard of them or maybe they are fakes?
