A mid made by CIARE (Italian company) for Car Audio. They have a bunch of products home and car... even horns like ID but I don't know what they are worth. http://oaudio.de/media/products/0861656001182438423.pdf I was thinking of pairing those with my ID CD1v.3 horns for a 2way front stage. The new version has pretty much the same specs except for the Fs = 75hz // Re = 3ohm // Qts = 0.16 // Qes = 0.16 // Qms = 4.88 // Mms = 13.19. Your opinion appreciated, Kelvin

I am dying to buy these lil' monsters , i have a large trunk (chrysler 300) and am wanting an optimal vented box for these bad boys, can a pro or guru chime in and offer any suggestions or tuning freq. suggestions,an box size, i plan on running probably a sundown 1000D amp @ 1 ohm mono so the 2 8's will split 1k rms, im looking for a box to really make these subs sing yet still play music, not just pure spl, thanks in advance

My buddy Brandon got a pair of D2 15s installed yesterday. This morning he wired up his MA Audio MA5082HX amp up to them -- their 4000-watt Class A/B amp from two model years ago. 2 ohms is not the optimal load for the amp, but no matter... with -32dB earplugs in my ears are still tingling. We drove up to a local stereo shop to use their meter, which is horribly uncalibrated so don't use these numbers to compare to anything... his car pulled a 148 dB score. Get this... the shop has a van with no less than 28 Memphis Depth Charge 10" subs in a wall and a Memphis MOJO amp and that only pulls a 152 dB score. So 4 dB off 28 10s with a pair of 15s in a stock Explorer , no wall…

Ok, so yes I was one of the lucky ones to demo the prototype of this new Mag. And I "kinda" knew what to expect, though the proto 15 had some chrome problems leaking into the pole causing non 100% performance. So I did know how much better to expect from the production driver. So it came in wed. and I put it in thursday. I just completely swapped it out with my other Mag (previous version) same box, same amp, same amp settings, xover settings, same everything except the new driver. At the moment i have a JBL GTO 1514. But thats not good enough (for me) so i was thinking of getting 2x12 inch woofers. They have many deals and brand names i haven't ever heard. Like: BassX BW-500X Boschmann V1240XYB (my friend has one, sounds pretty good) Mystery MJS 12F Ground Zero GZTW 30T (i have heard something about that) Fusion EN-SW12ES Anyone can tell something about these or has any suggestions ?

I am running an Audioque 3500d.1 to 2 DD3512e d4, if I run both pos and neg wire (with 8 ga.)one direct to each woofer (parallel) will this get me a little more wattage to each woofers? Currently I am running just one pos and neg wire (12 ga.)to the box and the woofer are ran parallel from there.

Im debating whether to send a kicker 1500zx back and get a Rockford Fostgate T20001 but would that overpower a BL FL at 2 ohms because from what I hear the Rockford Fostgate is way underrated on the cover, but in the box it shows 800w+ then the cover Would it be worth the trouble to send a kicker 1500zx back and spend $100 on this Rockford? Looking for a 10" DVC 4ohm.The box has .75 cu ft and a mounting depth of around 8". Space is very limited and I can't get a bigger box unless I want to take up the whole rear,which I don't want to do. Everybody has Alpine Type-R subs around here and I would like to not go that route.I'm sure that their are some brands I'm not aware of that you guys do. I would say around $150 for the sub. Got 600rms @ 2ohm to give it.

Well just payed for an ordered a FI x 10" I plan to run it sealed off the back two channels of my amp. It set me back a bit more than i wanted but everything i hear about this woofer is really good.

am i gonna have any issues with that much power? will be running each ma @ 2 ohm, 1 per mt. im thinkin about a 5th mt and 5th ma hk4000d too.

Noob thinking out loud here. So in a ported enclosure, is the sub having to work "less" near port frequency? The sub moves less, but what does that mean from a power handling standpoint (if anything)? Is it easier for a sub to take power near the tuning frequency? I believe I've read about "thermal" power handling. Does that mean there is another unit of measure for power handling? I could be way off, but from what I recall, it seems thermal is constant with no regard for enclosure, but another aspect of power handling does take enclosure into consideration. Hope I'm coming close to conveying what I'm trying to say here lol. Also, I hear people talking about "efficient"…

.....so i can let this prototype have a swing at it! Only spent about 45mins with it so far on the drive home and there is a definite difference from 2nd gen and this prototype for the 3rd gen. The amazing SQ has been improved, i actually get double kick drums on Metallica songs. I plan on playing around with it more later tonight and will post review and some pics of the proto vs the 2nd gen. Good thing about this improvement though is that they didn't redo the characteristics of the sub, they added on to it. Example when the O series from ED got replaced from the Ov.2, the SQ changed and some liked it and some didn't. Wasn't as controlled and output was peaky, IMO…

Alright, so my new project truck is coming along (by coming along, i mean its not running and i'm tearing the interior apart). Anyways, i'm trying to piece together an SQ setup in my head and this is what i have so far. Headunit: some type of indash dvd player (leaning towards the kenwood 717) Speakers: front stage only: RE RE components, and a midbass (XXX 6" or dayton RS 7") all the speakers in door pods Speaker amp: MTX blue thunder 400x5 (dedicated sub channel to power the midbass if necessary). subs: its gonna be ridiculous sub amps: lots of them Now, for the problems. For purely academic purposes, imagine a ported enclosure tuned with 2 aeroports. If the aeroports were different lengths...and therefore different tunings, what would the net result to the listener be? Would the box only keep one tuning?...would the tuning freq be "spread out"?...would space/time warp and fold back on itself thereby negating this whole exercise? Thanks

I compared a Gcon 15 and an SA15 and found something that sparked a couple questions for me: 1. Is there any simple reason why the Gcon requires a 1.5 ft^3 bigger than the SA15 to achieve the same curve and... 2. Why is it that the Gcon's curve is not a smooth curve in the same box? I know they're different drivers and will perform differently in different conditions, but more in depth, or rather, the science behind it. Could I just not know how to use the program? lol

I am looking at these two sets of CDT comps are they considered good speakers? EF-61CF/25: or the CL-61i which are a bit cheaper Its either them or I am just going to pick up some PG 6.5s I guess

Can someone describe to me what the Bl/Bl curve of a subwoofer is? I've heard it determines the SQ of the driver.

I have my PG Tantrum 1200.1 on my 15 D2 and I am not getting much movement out of my sub at levels of 20 and lower on my Alpine HU. once I push it past the 20 mark it starts moving, it moves an insane amount at 25. Anyone have any ideas why? maybe my elec system not giving the amp enough power? I do need a yellow top bad, and possibly a new alt. I have the PG 1200.1 which is 1507 watts by the BS and a PPI PC2150 which is 300 watts.

Hi, im shopping for a new system and today i ran across this website. i was wondering, and wasnt able to find the following information. for the 12" Magnum D2 RMS Peak Sensitivity also, how does the magnum d2 stand up to competitors side by side, similar priced subwoofer. such as rockford power hx2, mtx thunder 8000, RE XXX, and any other leading subwoofers? thanks your help is very appreciated.

whats the scope on these subs? i hear that they sound like farts NO SQ what SOO ever. but i have SX15 and i was thinking of getting 2 L7 10's. but i also looking into 15's could someone tell me whats up with them?
