Hey guys, about a year ago i built one of the blueprint boxes from adire audio, the largest one they offerd im not sure exactly what it was im thinking the spl box, its the one were the driver is down firing and theres a 15" PR in front(the ebs box?)? well anyways i had some bad luck with my shiva and it wasnt working properly, so now im looking for a replacement and i stumbled upon this shiva-x. If im not mistaken Kyle Richardson your the same person that was with adire right? if so im sure you will know what box im talking about, or if anyone else knows thatd be great also. Pretty much im just asking if this shiva-x will be a good replacement for my box? Thanks Jon

how much is a rockford fosgate 12'' Hx2 motor and basket worth? i found one for sell and they want $75. i found a recone kit for it. is it worth $75 though?

I built my bro a box to house two CDT EF 8" subs. The box is tiny but meets the minimum recommended volume. If the bass is turned up much, whether it be by volume knob, gain, or bass knob, the subs have a high pitched electronic noise. This goes away if one sub is taken out. The only thing I can think of is that the 3" of space between the two magnets is not enough and are causing distortion. Any other possibilities? Oh yea, the subs face away from eachother so the magnets are back to back.

after about 8 months of playin my hifonics Goliath 1600 on a hifonics brutus 2000d, the spider has loosened out. no ripping it just came off clean. since the sub was put in the car at lower frequencies a smell was givin off smelling like the newness coming out. but it has been doin it since. sub is out waiting to repair. any theories on the smell?(not burning smell) and has this happened to anyone else with hifonics products?

Alright ive been looking around at subs for a while now and ive kind of narrowed my search down a bit i want to keep it around 400 bucks if i do a single 12" or under 500 for two 10"s (i can buy one at a time). So the drivers ive been looking at so far are the Mach 5 SPL 12 which already has a triple stack magnet. The btl 12" with the third mag and longer coil (no cooling cant afford it), or two fi Q10"s. I like loud bass. I want to hear the words over the bass, but dont mind if the music is flooded with bass (running four boston coax's til i have money for two sets of components to replace em). right now i have a jl e6450 amp http://www.carsound.com/articles/publish/article_268.shtml and im getting these type 4 components http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/products/p...ng=en&tab=F the amp does 70 watts at 4 ohms and 110 watts at 2 ohms my question is can u wire components to get the 2 ohm load? cause the alpine type r components are 4 ohm and i dont want them getting 70 watts when they can be getting the 110

Is it true, that it's not good the tune a box lower than the subs Fs? I always thought that you can tune a box lower than the Sub Fs, what's true about this and what happen if you tune it lower than a subs Fs? anyways, thanks.

I'm running my options and these are to be run of the sub channel of an AX5600 (don't know the exact sub, was told around 6-700w@ 1 ohm) i would prefer the mounting depth the to be 6" and under (preferrably skinnier the better, but if it will proved better performance, im all for up to 6.5. I would like to keep the airspace around 1.5 cubic ft sealed choices so far are (in no particular order): 1 10 or 12" SE 1 12" FI SSD 2 10" FI x1 V2 2 Soundsplinter RL-i 1 2 10" Sundown Sd1's 2 12 or 10" Mach 5 MAW 10's for the RE's i would be staying with the optimal sealed enclosure for the SSD i am staying with the recommended box specs of 1.1 cubes with the Copper coil + soft sp…

so im going to buy 2 13" jlaudio w1v2-4 and i was wondering what would be a good amp or good amps for my sub, mid, and highs, and i was wondering what would be some good door speakers the faster i know is better so please give me some ideas

Hey guys i am looking for a single 15" setup, the amp i have to power either sub would be a mtx thunder elite 801d it puts out 851x1 rms at 2 ohms, i listen to about 70% rap and 30% rock i am mostly interested in getting loud i know that that is totally install dependant, so either sub would be ported at around 32-33 hz and in about a 3.5-4.0 cu ft enclosure. Ok, i bought a us amp md3d. I am having trouble choosing what subwoofer to get. I cant go over 6-7 for the subs. Im not looking for "alot" of SQ and this for a daily driver. 1. 2 FI BL 15's 2. 1 FI BTL 15 3. 2 SSA ICON 15's 4. Mach5 slp 12( dunno anything about this) 5. 1 Incriminator Audio Death Penalty 15 6. 2 SoundSplinter RL-p 15's 7. AA Havoc Series 15 Which one would you get, and why Want one that would hit the hardest, and just put out pure bass They are going in a 07 dodge charger.

The main objective here is probably going to be LSQ. I'd like to have it look "normal" when this is all said and done. The sub...that will be interesting. We'll see. This is partly a show-car (you know, with graphics all over it and such), so obviously it needs to look presentable. In terms of both speaker and sub, quality is the main concern here. I was thinking Zapco or McIntosh for amplification...that's about all I'm pretty sure about. Thanks for help..

I have lamented over speakers for several weeks now and must end the madness by making a decision.... I am opting to have a stealth install done in my 2005 LR3. I have a few questions regarding it and was hoping that I could draw upon your sage advice. It's for a friends car stereo, he's got an all eclipse system with an XA-1000 amp (~500w RMS @ 2ohms) that will be powering a MAw15 in a ~3cf box tuned to 33hz. 14.5x2.5" slot port 24" long. Overall box dims will be 29x16x16. Should do quite nicely in his 99 civic coupe I'm kinda sad it's not for me though lol. Pics when we actually start building
