Subwoofers / Speakers

As far as Fi subs are concerned should I run 3 10" SSDs or 2 10" Qs. Will the SSDs handle 600w rms no problem. Especially if I upgraded the SSD 3 10" Qs are a No cause of my budget I noticed that the Q is desgined to work in smaller enclosures than the SSD?

I have a 07 GMC sierra crew cab so air space is limited. I think I may be able to fit 3 10s or atleast 2 not so deep 12s I love hard hitting bass and a good ass rumble. I listen to alot of fast rock and r&b I was thinking about going with Fi subs But what kind of amp should I get? Something that will run 1ohm stable? Id like to throw about 1,500+ watts to the subs

I bought an older 12" claw mag from someone in mint condition. I already made a box, I just need to know what diameter to make the cutout. I tried searching, I can't find it please help!

Hey all, I'm new here, was wondering if i could get some friendly advice. Im lookin at getting my first system in a few weeks for my '01 taurus, and i cant decide whether to get the type r 12 or a fi q 15...i know it would be a big difference...but i dont know if the Q would be an overkill and more bass than i want, not to mention take up way more of my trunk ..i can get the Q from a guy on caraudio.com for 240 shipped...or the R for like 130 from sonicelectronix.com, should i spend the extra $110? would probably be giving either around 1000w..any advice/sugestions?

So I'm going to be using these little monsters in my dad's stereo & possibly in my own. I figured I'd show you guys some pics of them & ask for any ideas. I'm going to give my dad 2 & use 4 for myself. My question is what kind of enclosure should I use. Mainly asking about the 2 for my dad, I have never built for home audio & am working with a fairly large room. The rooms 20 x 14 with a 17 ft ceiling. how much is a rockford fosgate 12'' Hx2 motor and basket worth? i found one for sell and they want $75. i found a recone kit for it. is it worth $75 though?

Alright ive been looking around at subs for a while now and ive kind of narrowed my search down a bit i want to keep it around 400 bucks if i do a single 12" or under 500 for two 10"s (i can buy one at a time). So the drivers ive been looking at so far are the Mach 5 SPL 12 which already has a triple stack magnet. The btl 12" with the third mag and longer coil (no cooling cant afford it), or two fi Q10"s. I like loud bass. I want to hear the words over the bass, but dont mind if the music is flooded with bass (running four boston coax's til i have money for two sets of components to replace em). I have a friend who is wanting to buy a new sub he was looking at one of these. I told him to look at some Fi's but couldn't talk him into it.

Is it true, that it's not good the tune a box lower than the subs Fs? I always thought that you can tune a box lower than the Sub Fs, what's true about this and what happen if you tune it lower than a subs Fs? anyways, thanks.

Hey guys i am looking for a single 15" setup, the amp i have to power either sub would be a mtx thunder elite 801d it puts out 851x1 rms at 2 ohms, i listen to about 70% rap and 30% rock i am mostly interested in getting loud i know that that is totally install dependant, so either sub would be ported at around 32-33 hz and in about a 3.5-4.0 cu ft enclosure. I'm running my options and these are to be run of the sub channel of an AX5600 (don't know the exact sub, was told around 6-700w@ 1 ohm) i would prefer the mounting depth the to be 6" and under (preferrably skinnier the better, but if it will proved better performance, im all for up to 6.5. im keeping the door panels factory, but i think im going to throw a set of kicker SSMB8's (8" midbass) in the doors and 5.25's in the kicks, problem is, dont know what 5.25's to use (i was thinking boston pro5's) and secondly, will just those as a front stage keep up with 145+db? the other idea was to just IB a set of 8" subs. any input would be great! thanks

The main objective here is probably going to be LSQ. I'd like to have it look "normal" when this is all said and done. The sub...that will be interesting. We'll see. This is partly a show-car (you know, with graphics all over it and such), so obviously it needs to look presentable. In terms of both speaker and sub, quality is the main concern here. I was thinking Zapco or McIntosh for amplification...that's about all I'm pretty sure about. Thanks for help..
