Subwoofers / Speakers

hi, i am going to be install mli 65 in the rear of my truck and there is a hole for them so there are going to need to be in a small sealed or ported enslcure ( i havent decided) and these are the tweeters i am going to be using. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=1466 and i am wondering what is the recommend cubic feet for them for midrange ( up to around 3k hz but i would like as much midbass a possable.

just picked this up used. hopefully have it going by april biggest ported box i can fit is 3.2 cubes net tuned to 33 hz. gonna try that out and maybe go sealed if it doesn't work out

I just got 2 12 inch 3xl subs and there not loud to me, the box is 2.0 cubic feet per chamber. I hear great things about them so my question is will they get louder after they break in or will i need to put them in a bigger box thanks.

Haha just kidding Mark, but my alternator took a dump today. I was driving along, tunes cranked all the way, and then I notice that I'm getting a lot more voltage drop on my voltmeter... kinda cool until my amps shutdown cuz the voltage dropped below 11 on the beats Long story short, it doesnt charge much at idle, and I'm hearing a whining noise coming from the alternator. I'll be taking it in on Wednesday to get it rebuilt and see what actually fried. I should be able to make it to work and back tommorrow with it, unless I can bamboozle my dad into driving me, which I doubt.

Hi, Just get my new car in 2 Werks and idk which woofer to choose. I want 1 12 inch woofer with good bass on the body ( sry dont know how to say) It's going in a 08 bmw 330xd.. I was quite happy with my old 15" re sx but want some better ;-) Though of fi or sundown... What ya think?

Yeah i broke two of them from hitting the bottom of my seat. i had so other 8s in the same box and had no problem but the sa-8s had more excursion than i expected. my fault!. do you think i would have the same issue with the sa10?? i know they move a good bit.. just trying to figure out an option thats gonna work for these...

Hey guys Im currently waiting for my SI 12" to be delivered from low-hz and Im starting on the box. 1300ish watts from a diamond D5 1200.1 in a 1.25ft^3 pre displacement sealed box. Anyway trying to work out dimensions and I was just wondering what the mounting ring diameter is? Just so I leave enough mdf outside the 11.125 cutout. Thanks

What is the actual amount of clean power you can send to one of the lvl 2 subs? I know the website states 300 but it even says that number is an under rated suggestion. Also how much do these subs go for? Thanks for the help.

anyone on this forum have any first hand experience with the O.v2 line of subs. in particular the 16... im looking into getting either it or the IDMax 12 and i wanted to put it in a sealed enclosure. im leaning more toward the sound quality side. its gonna be powered with the nine.1 thanks for any advice!

Will have the bench seats all the way up. Am lookin for two tens or two twelvea ported not sure if twelves will fit. Look at fi bl alpine type rs or sa. Please help money isnt an issue

I am sure you guys get tired of answering these questions, but since I am a complete newbie when it comes to car audio, I would like some advice from experienced audio enthusiasts like yourselves. I drive a Chevy Silverado 2002 extended cab, and I have the box built for 2 sundown X15s that sundown recommends on their website. My question is, will anything be effected if I put the subs on top facing the roof and the port in the middle facing my windshield. Or should I have it subs up, port up? I'm just wondering if there is a difference and what would be best. Thanks

Ok so Im debating and I cant decide. Whether Xs or DCONs, each sub will be Single 4ohm so I can pair both and get a final load of 2 ohm (= 1000watts from my Sundown 2000D) Yes, this will be an ~8 month temporary setup while in the meantime I upgrade the electricals on a soon-to-be new car that I will be getting etc. Since my final setup will consist of 2 18s, it will take some time to have the car "ready" and honestly, my single 12 is not cutting it for now. Specially when I just upgraded my front stage with a Boss Rev. 665 amp. The bass can barely be felt. I dont know what are the advantages of going for the Fi X or the DCONs. ok so when i power my amp all that happens is the subs hit at one tone and thump at the same tempo the whole time.. it does not go to the beat of the song and also does it when the song isnt playing. my amp has both lights on (red and green) it is a cadence sounds txa1000d. i bought it brand new from their site so it has the 2 year manu. warranty.
