Hmmmm, i want to get the most of my system. I love the really really deep ground shaking bass. My current set up is 2 Magnum D2 12s running off a Tsunami 1800T. My enclosure is a lil bit more than 2 cu ft each and its tuned @ around 29-30hz. It gives me lots of the ground shaking bass i love, but i thought i would be hitting higher numbers than what im hitting. Last time i had a chance with a mic i hit 142.3 I thought that was really good, because i was thinking it was the termlab. It was actually an AC. I just found that out. Now im disappointed. I see many people on the boards who have a similar set up, but are hitting way higher numbers. I just finished a competiti…

One of my my Hertz HSK-165 tweeters came loose and I slammed it in the door... The housing cracked but it still plays. I was just wondering if there was anything I could replace it with that would work crossed at 3500 on a 12db slope? Replacement tweets are not an option. Don't need a lecture on buying authorized either. I bought these knowing there was no warranty.

thinking of either running 3 AQ SDC2.5 15's or 2 HDC3 15's...wondering what to tune them at. ive heard around 38-40 but that seems high. I had 2 BL 18's @ 33hz and liked the way that sounded so im thinking around 33-35 for the AQ's. Opinions por favor.....

I recently bought a 99 ext cab chevy silverado. I am going to buy a pre fab box since i dont have the time or the resources to build a box. The box will be a downfiring underseat sealed box with 2 chambers with .92 cubes per sub, and a mounting depth of 7". The holes can be cut for round or square subs. I will be listening to rap, rock, and country. I need advice on a good subs/amp combo for this box and truck. My budget would be around $800 for the subs and amp.

Okay, so I have a RE SX, I have had it for a year now and I am kinda getting sick of it. So, I was wondering. What kind of difference would it make going to a DC Level 4? I will be running 1000 watts to it. Would I be happier? I like good, loud, clean bass.. but who doesn't?

I just wanna make sure it's a q so I can build the right box and send the right power with a jl 1000/1 https://i.imgur.com/5XhcaRe.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8gjemrn.jpg https://i.imgur.com/L0Q6fDQ.jpg https://i.imgur.com/KGI9M2a.jpg https://i.imgur.com/bCRC6Mf.jpg

I have two box ideas, 1 is just a rectangle, and the other is a wedge design, witht the woofer facing somewhat at an angle. also i overhan the long peices over the sides. which one would sound better in my car?

Well, after about 2 months of my 12" SI Magnum sitting in a box in the corner of the living room, i got around to building a box and getting it in the car. This sub is replacing my 3 10" Orion XTR's in a 3.1 ft^3 sealed box, some pretty big shoes to fill. The box about 1.3 ft^3 net, sealed, and stuffed about 50% with a mix of fiberglass insulation and cotton stuffing. The amp is an Orion XTRPRO 1000, running at 1 ohm for a full 1k output. Well, first impression. Wow, this thing is tight!! I listen to metal about %99.9 of the time so this was a big deal to me. This sub sounds flawless. I went through about 10 CD's, from Fear Factory to Lamb of God, and it has handl…

I ordered my 2 15" MKIIs yesterday to replace my 2 15" Lethal Injections. They'll be here Wednesday. So excited, the specs on these seem like some of the most well designed subs I've ever seen. The response curve on these in a sealed box is almost completely flat from 20 hz up to 100 hz. I'll post an initial review shortly after I put them in my box.

I just noticed the new Pioneer Stage 4 line on the Crutchfield website and they are very expensive for anything pioneer that i have seen. I have a Pioneer Premier headunit (cant remember exact model) and i love it, it has all the features i could ask for so that is so different about this new HU and the new speakers? According to pioneers website they are an audiophile grade set. does anyone have any experience with them and know if they are worth the money?

Hi, I'm going to build a new system in the next month or so and at the moment this is what I'm looking at getting. 1 Fi BTL 12" or 15" MB Quart 1500 watt amp (I'll add more power when I upgrade my electrical further) However, I found a 15" Ascendant Audio Chaos on craigslist for $220 with a 4 cubic ft. enclosure. The guy says its in good condition and has only been running on 500wrms. I don't know anything about the AA line of subs. Which Fi sub would it compare to? Would it be worth the extra money to get the BTL? My goal is the loudest system under $800 heres the link to the post: Ascendant auidio 15" Chaos W/4cube ported box Thanks, Joe

I am looking for a pair of 12" subs to be powered by a pair of ma audio hk802sx amps. 1 sub per amp. Years ago i did the same thing with two boss pd4000s and two power acoustik mofo 12" subs. It was a very loud setup and i am trying to beat that intense feeling that setup gave me. My money has grown up so i have better amp and sub options now. Please give me some options and real world data? Thanks...Cee.

i have an Orion H2 12 inch sub its rated at 2000 wrms my amp is rated 1200 wrms i've had it for quite a while now and im starting to get some mechanical noise, sorta sounds like its bottoming out, but i know thats not the case b/c it has like a 4 inch travel, and its def. not moving that far. i took it to the shop i bought i from and the guy promised that the sub was not blown, but said there might be something wrong with the leads. he said he wont send it in to Directed without the original reciept, which after like 7 months i of course dont have. its not that huge of a deal cause i think im gonna get a Fi BL pretty soon, but do you guys have any idea what could possibly…

hey, i got a pair of MTX coaxials, they were $30 brand new so you can't beat that. i wanted to get components but i was low on cash and this was a pretty good deal. i am pretty happy with them other than the stupid tweeters. they are way too harsh and too loud for my liking. how can i fix this? i've messed with the 7 band EQ on my head unit and still can't get em down. are there low pass filters or sumthin to filter out the higher tones? like the opposite of a bass blocker or sumthin....?

I have a pair of coaxial speakers JL vr5.25" and I was wondering if I could add another set of tweeters on top of the coaxials... might be a stupid question but I was curious because the coaxials are installed fairly low on the door of my 2004 mustang. I should've got separates to begin with but I'm curious if I can get away with just adding tweeters. Thanks.

Hello everyone. I was wondering if anyone out there could help me find a manufaturer that can rebuild a subwoofer based off an Audiomobile Mass series magnet structure. It is a 3inch underhung design that was origonally built or at least designed by TC Sounds. The design was also used in the SVS Ultra(v1) home subwoofer. TC as some of you may know has been restructured and are far to busy to handle this request. I was just wondering if there are any other products/manufaturers that would be compatible. Any input is welcome. Thanks.
