I have been looking for some mid bass speakers and these caught my eye, I'm wondering if anyone out there has used them if so how did you like them? I would be using them in a 3way passive set as the woofer, crosser over points are 500hz and 3.5hz off a R/F P400-2. They are on eBay for what I believe to be a reasonable price. I wonted to post the eBay link but was not sure how. thanks for any and all replies.

Okay so today I showed up to my house with a free blown sub at my door and was wondering if there is a recone kit available for it. It is a Audiobahn 12" Eternal series (AWES12p) and I dont think audiobahn makes them anymore because they came out with a new immortal series. I don't know how to tell if the motor is still good but I assume it is due to the coil being the only thing that looked bad. So yeah, I would be needing the whole recone (coil, dustcap, cone/foam surround, spider, and so forth). Im almost possitive the coil is 2.5 inches in diameter (measured with measuring tape). Let me know if I let out any information. Your help is much appreciated, thanks!

I currently have a 5" focal mid range in the front doors, two soundstream tws.4 on the front dash. in the rear is a rockford fosgate prime component set with the woofers on the rear deck and tweeters on the top of the rear window. I'm not pleased with how the front sounds so I need something better up there. I have a four channel amp that does about 75 each channel and a two channel that does 125 each channel. I was thinking something along the lines of a midbass and new tweeter in the front, then possible using the focal mids and tws.4 tweeters for the rear. My doors have no bass at all and overall it is not loud enough. I'm on a budget so used and low price is what …

Here is the deal, I have roughly about 6 cubic feet I can give for a box. Right now I have 2 audiopipe txx 15's that are rated at 1000rms in a 1.5ft sealed enclosure each ( I know the box is small). I want to run 2 15" subs ported in a 3.0ft box for each but is that enough space? I love low notes and spl pressure so im looking for a new setup. I've talked to Tod at digital designs and he said go with 1 DD 9518g in a 5ft box ported. THis is for a daily sub with good quality but i do want some pressure. Would it be The subwoofer will be in my trunk and not in a wall behind the seat. Another question, does anyone know the power rating on a fully loaded 18" btl? The DD9518g i…

I am looking to run double midbasses along with a midrange and tweeter in each door. They are Hertz HSK 165 components, HL 70 mids, and these crossovers: http://www.hertzaudiovideo.com/Doc/pdf_3W20.pdf All of the speakers are 4 ohm versions. (Picture of this type of setup is also on the link) Could you tell me what they would be running at? I figured it was they would be running at 4 ohm per side when wired up, but got confused when looking at a bunch of different charts. I am looking to run this type of frontstage off of one of the new Zed Audio amps. I was originally going with the six channel and trying to figure a way to go active if needed, but I was thinking …

I have an old RE 12 that I had no Idea what the model number was and so forth so I emailed some pictures to the Fi-Recone email. They informed me that it is the SE series and RMS's around 600 watts. What Recone kit would be best for this subwoofer and would it be cheaper for me to purchase the recone and do it myself or just send it in to Fi? Your help is much appreciated, I know there is a probably a lack of information but that is about as much as I know about the subwoofer.

Is a true 1500 watts too much for a single Fi Q 18" to handle with the BP option? I was trying to decide between going this route, or going with a dual 15" setup with a 2500watt amp...I'm leaning towards the 18 since it'll be cheaper and more electrically friendly. (vehicle is a dodge magnum)

hey guys im going 3 cu ft for 2 level 3 12's what kind of tuning do you guys use for these for rap? keep in mind just cause its rap i dont want it to sound like muddy ass..lol id like it to be musical..each sub will be getting 500 watts..this will be my first time with ported and i dont know shit about port area, volume all that stuff..and im having the shop build the box for me and install it, so if you guys can give me some numbers i can write them down and hand them to the shop..by the way reason im going with 3 cu ft is cause on there website it says 1.5 per 12'' unless you guys know something that works better

Hey guys, been a looong time. I've always been a noob and now I'm a noob that took a few years off so I'm also rusty, so any help is appreciated haha Currently, I'm in a 2008 Envoy. After having 2 systems stolen in the past, I'm trying to keep it as "stock looking" as possible. I'm going with this subthump box: http://subthump.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_19&products_id=65 Narrowed my sub choice down to the Sundown SD-2. Mounting depth is fine on either so that's not a concern, but volume is. Sundown's site reccomends .5 sealed for the 10 and 1.0 for the 12. This prefab box offers .81 sealed before displacement so it's right between the two. http://www.sundownaudi…

This is a new one to me. So it got cold here and I turned my car stereo on about a week ago. The right midrange in the kick sterted to make a static/crackling sound. I immediatly turned the radio off until I could check it over. I checked my wiring and everything is secure. I turned the radio back on and the problem is not there anymore. The speaker then worked and no static. Two weeks go by and its randomly doing it again. I am at a loss. Ive checked everything but the impedance of the driver. Who knows maybe its on its death bed. Squeak, you do warranties? lawl! J/K I love these Coustic speakers and really dont want to go through the hassle of finding another …

Rec'd my Xcon 10D2 back in October and finally got the car install done yesterday and all I can say is ....Damn . I have the Xcon in a 1.2cuft^3 sealed box and it sounds amazing. I know it'll need some time to break in, but this little monster sounds tits . I replaced a Phoenix Gold TIElite12D to reduce some weight, but the Xcon actually weighs more than the Elite and seems to be more efficient as I was running the ELite off a PG TI1200.1 and the Xcon is currently runnin' off a JL Audio 500/1v2. Great sub for the money and couldn't be happier, thanx again SSA.

I know there is probably no definitive answer, but I wanted to know where to start. I decided on a sealed box for new Mag 15 on the way to me. I figured 2.6 cubes and 2.45 after displacement. I want to know how many pounds to start with. I am looking for about the same output as my ported 12, with a flatter response. I know the site recommends 2.3. Is my box too big? Os there a way to get a little more output from a sealed box without losing a whole lot of SQ. This is my first sealed that I have had in this car. It will be getting around 1100 watts. I listen to about everything.

Hi,I'm having a really hard time choosing a new sub. I think I've narrowed it down to these two, the new orion hcca 15.2, or the fully loaded 15" Fi BTL. It will be a daily setup in a 95' nissan hardbody. I will be running it on an orion 2500D in a 4 cubic foot ported enclosure. I would also occasionaly like to see some fairly good mic numbers. Please be honest as to which is the better sub for my application, thanks.

Hi, im new here was wondering if you could help me with some ideas for subs. My current setup is 2 12inch Sony 1300w at 200 watts rms a piece. I'm looking to upgrade to a better system i want SPL while not sacrificing sound quality. The only thing is i don't want to have to upgrade my alternator I have been looking around at subs such as the FI SSD ,FI X(with BP power option)x2, DD1512,SSA DCON, and Audioque SDC2.512. I think i am also leaning towards getting 2 subs instead of one because i don't know what rms vs surface area does for SQ/SPL. I listen to Rap/rock if anyone can help me out that be great. If you have other subs you wanna throw in the mix that's cool to i am…

do they make magnet boots for them? I have yet to see one with it on it and I know the level2/3s have them.. unsure on 4s or 4xls. Also, to Rusty... do you sell just the motors? Interested in making some hybrid subs and it'll be my first time building them.
