I am getting some q logic kick panel enclosures for some additional midbass in the front, and I want something this sexy without the price http://www.crutchfield.com/p_091130VR/Foca...-VR.html?tp=106 It also needs to be a 6 1/2 inch driver, and I would prefer it be a component set.

2.6" deep 6.5" with 11.5mm one way 6.5" midbass/midrange good untill 7khz. The 4 ohm has an f3 of 53hz IB. .4-.7cuft suggested for kicks The 8 ohm extends to 40hz in a ported alignment 1.4 cuft tuned to 38hz. Or to 58hz in a ported alignment 0.6 cuft tuned to 50hz While this is a very exceptional midbass, the Omega is superior both in terms of midrange quality and output full range. This design was created since we realize not everyone can fit the omega... This mid also has a black paper cone Aluminum former (non hexy) Very high temp 10 layer coil (250C, 300C max wire with 600C adhesive) The Delta also comes in both a 4 and 8 ohm variety and is self shielded for use in h…

I've was looking at the SI BM to use in a behind the seat install, but they don't seem like they will be ready in time to order. I don't have much experience with shallow mount subs. Just looking for some other options for brands. I want something that will work best in a ported enclosure. Don't have an amp picked out yet, so power will be determined after sub is picked. This is for my GF's younger brother, so it doesn't have to high end. I'll be building the box to fit behind the seats of a pickup. So, not much room. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!!!

  4. Hi guys, I currently have two regular pioneer 10" shallow mount subs in the back of my dodge ram. i was planning on upgrading to the the premium pioneer 10"s ( the s4 model) this friday. I have a rocksford fosgate r500 d series amp. the old subs run at around 200-250 rms i belive, and the new ones would run at 300 rms. my amp pushes out 500 raw rms. i am not sure ( despite what they told me at the aduio shop) wether or not my amp will be enough to properly power the new subs. The guy says whenever he does a system with the preium pioneers he uses the r500 amp. However, i'd hate to upgrade only to see a minimal change in performance. does anyone have any kind of experience…

I convinced myself to go ahead and put a couple subs in my truck. I don't want to have to raise my seat or anything, so I'm going with a enclosure from Fox acoustics designed for my truck. But I still have a couple of questions... I know I will not be able to get ground shaking bass out of two tens or twelves, so I'm going for a sq setup. as for power I don't have an amp yet but I don't want to go overboard with power. 1. should I go with two vented 10's or two sealed 12's? 2 what's a good shallow mount dub to go with for under $300

  6. Sup everybody, I have a question here, has any body used the 12" Pioneer TS-SW124D shallow sub? Mounting depth is only 3 1/4" and they run 350 watts nominally / 1400 watts peak. $200.00 Suggested price. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/prod...7969819,00.html What about the Pioneer TS-SW1041D 10" shallow sub, it has a mounting depth of 2 7/8", and these run 350 watts continous / 1000 watts peak. $180.00 Suggested price. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/prod...7969808,00.html I'm also curious with the Earthquake SWS-10 (2 11/16" mounting depth, 400 watt peak, $299), SWS-12 (3" mounting depth, 600 watts peak, $399), and the SWS-15 (3 1/4" mounting depth, 800 wa…

Well, I'm looking to painlessly install some stuff in my truck I don't feel like cutting and welding and I MUST retain all of my bed, so the only space available is behind the seat, I've done some research and the best value to me for my buck seems to be the JL 12TW3. I was looking at the Alpine Type Rs, but I'm not spending $600 for one driver. . . From Alpine. . . That's just absurd. Does anyone have any input or experience with any other brands?

well igot some bad news today. my rl-p 18 came in and fedex must have dropped it. the sub was packaged perfectly, with a 2x4 and mdf crate that supported the sub, and a layer of foam to protect it from shock. but we all know how bad the delivery people throw shit around. the cone is locked up, doesnt move at all. upon closer inspection i noticed the motor had shifted about a quarter of an inch. is there anyway to push it back? or is a recone the only option? heres a picture. you can see where it was on the right side by the whitish line you can kind of see

Just to keep everyone in the loop, my shipment is arriving tomorrow so folks who participated in the IXL-18.4 preorder will be receiving their unit(s) early next week. MLI-65's and MJ-18 4 Ohm units are also in the shipment so they too will be out the door. Oh, and a few goodies came in as well... Thanks for tuning in, Mark

Alright ... dual Shiva's ... amp = Arc 1500D-R. Right now they're firing upwards in 1.25 cubes per driver. I'm pleased with their performance, but I personally think they can do a bit more. I've tried 1 cube per driver, 1.25/driver, and 1.5/driver all sealed, with and without polyfill. I stuck with the 1.25/driver with polyfill just because that's what sounded the best to me. I've also tried 1.75/driver ported to 24hz. Wasn't too bad. Keep in mind they are firing upwards. It's a Chevy 2500HD ... big truck, four door, custom center console ... woofers in the back half of the truck firing upwards. Bucket seats in the back if you can picture it ... the console divides…

Hey guys, about a year ago i built one of the blueprint boxes from adire audio, the largest one they offerd im not sure exactly what it was im thinking the spl box, its the one were the driver is down firing and theres a 15" PR in front(the ebs box?)? well anyways i had some bad luck with my shiva and it wasnt working properly, so now im looking for a replacement and i stumbled upon this shiva-x. If im not mistaken Kyle Richardson your the same person that was with adire right? if so im sure you will know what box im talking about, or if anyone else knows thatd be great also. Pretty much im just asking if this shiva-x will be a good replacement for my box? Thanks Jon

Just picked up a pair in a trade. Probably going in my trailblazer. Anyone have any experience with these? I dig the lows and it's looking like I'll be tuning for 31-33Hz. Any trailblazer people have any tricks of the trade for the build? I'm thinking subs up, port back. This will be a daily on around 1k. Well, guys this is my first post and I am in the market for a new sub when my cars arrives. In September, I am getting my 2015 Mustang, and I would like to have some opinions. Since I don't know the exact space I will have I do know I will still need to fit golf clubs in the trunk. My goals are to have a very accurate and deep bass. So, I am thinking on the lines of a sealed box. Unless I can design and fabricate a ported box that will be accurate. I am willing to put the money down for a good amp and sub. Any recommendations on setup please tell me. I want to do it right the first time so I don't have to do it again.
