please someone tell me so i can tell my friend alpine Type R is not the best thing around!!! he said he hear 2 12s ported runing off the 1000rms alpine amp. srry forgot the model #. a list of sub(s) that can beat them in sq and spl in the same price range would shut him up or atleast change his mind alittle....

I'm currently concidering the 327's when they come out, and looking at the specs of the 307's they probably can take a lot of power. Would it be adwiseable to use bi-amping, and will there be a possibility to get crossovers made for the tweeters and midrange separately? I noticed that the SEAS Lotus Reference kit has this as an option, and wonder how you guys at SI would look at this. In home audio bi-amping definitely makes a difference, so it might apply here as well.

My current set up. Alpine CDA-9886 Big 3 0 gaude kicker hyperflex EA H/O alternator 200 amps 0 gauge run (sub) 4 gauge run (mids and highs amp) stock battery up front 2 Deka 9A31 in trunk Sub amp is a GP 3000D My sub are Fi Bl 12'' Sub box is Fishercustom slot port 4 cu. @ 32hz sub box max. that will fit in my trunk. 38w 14h 22d in. Car is a 95 cutlass ciera My Fi Bl 12'' sound good in that box, but I want to get louder, so with that said I want to go with 3 10'' Icon 10'' IXl 10'' are Fi Bl 10'' which would be louder on this set up, and still sound descent max size 38w 14h 22d slot port I like old school R&B, and some rap (clean ) Thanks in advance for any h…

I am looking at the $25 TC9 motor, for those who do not know what I am talking about they can be found at caraudiojunkyard.com. There are 4 variations of the TC9 motor, which one is this? The only thing I know about them is that they are the ones with the 1" slugs. Is that the same motor that is used on the SS RL-P's? If not does anyone know of a sub that this model TC9 motor is used on? I am trying to figure out which one I am getting. If it is the model on the RL-P's then I might have to get some for sure.

I am debating about getting another sa 15 and building a new box, or just sell the sa 15 and put the money to a new zv.3 15. The box i currently have is 4.1cubic ft tuned to 32hz. My amp is an american bass ph4000md. I would just like other input from others to help make my decision.

A friend of mine just finished a fairly low budget system in his subaru and he's unhappy with how is lows turned out so he wants me to help him out (sadly, I know more than he does). Greetings, i'm looking at purchasing some new mids/high speakers for my car. i was going to go find the AA componets or get the Infinity Kappa coax's. my question is if i get the kappa's will i regret not buying the AA's? i plan to get 2 pairs of 6x9's (threeway), 1 pair of 3.5's. now my next question is would it be recommended to get the kappas as well as the componets? like maybe get a set of componets for the doors? also are the kicker KS's better quality then the kappa's?

I would like to purchase (2) Digital Designs 9512g's. The local dealers here do not carry DD and I cannot find anywhere online to purchase these subs. Would someone please point me in the right direction?

Ok guys, I am ordering subs this week. I still am not sure on which ones or one. No more than $330. Looking at 2 12s, 1 12, or 1 15 in a 06 mustang trunk. Would like to go ported. Right now i have one 12 inch w6 off an alpine mrd 1005 with the settings set very low. I am thinking about either getting another w6 and running it off that amp or getting a single 12 or 15 inch Q or BL and pushing everything to them with that amp... orrrrr getting 2 12 inch Q's with another Amp. I really cannot decide. Would the 2 w6's have better SQ but less SP then the 2 12 Q's. Any opinions and experiences with these woofers would be great. Thanks

Is this a good idea or no? I have a bandpass box for 2 12's and I just grabbed a couple W-6's Dual 6-Ohm subs and was wondering if anyone had some advice on whether or not to put them in this banpass box. There is a divider in the box so they will both have there own enclosure with 2 ports a piece. I have no idea if these subs can go or are even recommended for this type of box so I know someone on here knows or has tryed this. Anybody who has put W-6's in a Bandpass enclosure please let me know if it sounded ok or what. THanks ANY ADVICE? NEED HELP!!!!

Just wondering how much power handling will decrease in an IB setup with the MJ-18M. I know power handling is probably not that important, but i just want to use it as a reference. Would i be safe in assuming that it will be halved from the normally rated power handling?

Hi, I am looking to get 2 new LSQ subs for my boat. I was planning on using the Fi Q 12's, since I have used them in my last boat and loved them, but since they are not available was wondering what you would recommend. I have read good things about the ssa icon, but was wondering how it would compare in terms of output and sound quality. I am using two individual .80 cubic foot boxes with some polyfill and already cut the holes for a 12. The amp I have wired in is a Cadence zrs 8000d which is able to put out 2000 watts rms at 1 ohm. Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a ssundown sae 1000d. I am looking for a good 15" sub that is more loud and boomy. I have about 6 cubic feet to work with. I dont have a budget but I dont want to go crazy on buying a sub. Id put it in a ported box. Im mainly looking for loud and boomy and not sq. I mainly listen to rap. Any help would be great thanks.

Not my install. I finally made my decision. Stopped draggin' my feet and sent Nick some money. I have a Magnum and a set of 302's on their way soon. I must say that Nick is very patient and awesome to deal with. Of course you guys know this already. Now I just need to get the Magnum hooked up to my PG t1200.1 and the 302's hooked to my PG t500.2. Hopefully this will be a system that I can live with for a long time. Done playing the what do I want in there today game, if you know what I mean.

Going through a local shop today they had these setting in the back with a generic label on them. The lady said it had some off brand subs in there.. with no info on them any idea? I know sundown I pulled both out the coils look good.. any idea which sun down? these were the best pics I could get also it was 170 for the pair.

I've had several of these drivers in several sizes and haved loved them all (only cuz I got them cheap ), but I have an opportunity to snag 3 of the 12W6s for virtually no money. Does anyone here still consider these to be worth any value? I have no real use for them yet, so it would be nothing more than a quick turn-around investment. With all the new drivers out there though, I'm wondering if it's even worthwhile. The 3 I'm getting are of the first gen, but they are all unused and still boxed.
