It's a ten with a small crack in the basket, i'm not sure i haven't received it yet. but for the price i paid i'll use it either way lol.

I need to know the diameter of the bottom part of a 12" Mag's motor. I'm planning something like this (side view): http://www.mustangmods.com/ims/u/474/572/179813.jpg And if the diameter of the bottom is more then 4", it will hit the bottom board. And I"ll have to look for another driver.

Wanted to get some opinions out there.. Which would you guys go with, 2 12w6v2's sealed or 1 12 Magnum ported? Either application would be powered by a Sundown 1500d. Looking for SQ and have decent output.

to make a long story short i've been bassless for the past week or so so it's forced me to pay close attention to my mids & tweets which today revieled a pleasant surprise remember no subs this is just door speakers I changed the balance on the HU to full left and i noticed the bass response was alot tighter then when i balanced out left and right the same happend when i put the balance to full right, the bass was much tighter then when the balance was even so i swapped the positive and negative speaker wire on the right channel of my amp and BOOM the bass was deep and clear even when the balance was even now i'm almost positive that i followed positive and negative …

Does anyone know what this sub is. I have somebody looking to sell it to me but we don't know what it its. \ And yes it is a 10".

I know the website recommends box specs at 2 cubes net tuned to 32. However, I think that the literature I received with the sub said 2.3 cubes net tuned at 30. I am sure that either will work. This will be my first ported box (don't worry, I am not building it myself) and I admittedly don't know any more than what I have read. Anyway, my question is, which way should I go with this -- 32 or 30? If it helps, I am more into sq than spl. (And would it even make that much of a difference?)

Somehow i just discovered that the tweets are blown in my door speakers. Right now i have american bass SQ coaxials in there and i was thinking about going with their component line. The closest i have found to match the components that AB has are the pro series sm16-90 from soundstream. I have the amp to power them but wanted to know how they would sound in my doors, i have plenty of highs and bass to compliment more mids.

when would u say this is coming out and how much do u think its gunna cost? any stats on it? i dont wana wait 2 long 2 buy my subs.. right now im gunna get 2 maw-15's.. so depending on when and how much these are i might get them instead..

Here is a dumb question, I already have my subs firing towards the trunk lid in my car. My friend has 2 15' Memphis PR's in his S-10 firing down.... I was wondering if I had the room could I put my subs in my back seat firing towards the back glass or could I have them face the floorboard..... The trunk rattles wayyy to much and I was just curious. Wasn't sure if it would work or not. ~MadroX

So a buddy of mine gave me his 2 L7's and an amp (that shall not be named as I fear I would be stoned to death). He told me the l7's didn't work but I took them anyways. You can see where there was a little melting going on. For the first sub I tested each voice coil and only one coil worked. The coil that didn't work is pictured above I haven't tested the second sub but the only thing noticably wrong is one of the wires is disconnected on the positive voice coil, which I will solder(sp?) back together. Both the subs move freely by hand and I really don't see anything visibly wrong (except for what is mentioned above). I have never owned a sub so I really don't know wha…

Where can I buy these Mach Audio MLI6.5? Not in the SSA store right only from the mach5audio.com website? I am also going to get some seas tweeter. I have an eclipse ea4000 so the woofers will be getting 75rms each and so will the tweeters. My headunit is a sony cd700 or whatever with graphic equalizer etc.... can I go active with it? Just with the headunit? This is my dumb idea. Cross everything over at 75hz and then play the woofers and mids, but obviously that isn't right? Anybody give me a hand or point me in the right direction if I'm doing this right? -Andres

Alright guys need some help i have 2 sets of subs i have 2 12 inch MTX 9500s and Two 12 inch FI BTLs i was wondering which set i should put in my car with the two SAZ 3000ds. Im wants SPL and SQ but preping for competition just wanting to see opinions thanks!

Hey guys, I have a dilemna. I have the room to fit any size sub, but i don't really know the pro and cons of each size. The amp is either going to be 1500d or a alpine 1000 watt. The 8 inch subs will either be rl-i 8's or RE 8's. The enclosure is going to be an infinite baffle downfiring kinda like this: *pic of shimajer on e46fanatics (hope he doesn't mind) Thanks.

Currently deciding between an 18" Bl or an 18" RL-P.. I am basically looking for just a loud daily driver that will pound the lows. I have 1500 watts on hand to power them.. What could I expect from each sub, and how do they compare?

My subs have arrived! CD on dustcap to show how big this thing is! Comparison pics. IXL beside a Pioneer TS-W384 15 inch woofer. I'll be starting my sub build pretty soon. I'll be going with 12 cubic feet tuned to 16 hz. This is a lot of sub for the money. I'm looking forward to getting these subs built and installed in my home theater!!!!

It appears as though the surrounds on my Cadences have developed a couple tears so I guess it's time to replace them. I think you guys have a pretty good idea of my music tastes, but I'm looking for great midbass for double kickdrums and a strong midrange for guitars. These will be run IB in my heavily deadened doors. 2 channels from my Sundown 100.4 will power them with the Vifa XT19s taking care of the top end. The 8443 will handle cross-over and EQ duties. The Cadences are 6.5"s with a very large magnet structure so I'm fairly certain I can fit a 7", maybe even an 8" if one will play high enough to match with the XT19s. Ok so right now I have 2 12s underneath the seat in my 03 ext cab silverado. It bumps pretty damn good. The amp is a RF power800a2 and the 2 subs are mixed 1 is a 4-5yr old RF punch HX2 and the other is a 1yr old eclipse sw7200. Im wanting to switch out to something else. Ive been looking at the FIs and the REs. Itll have to be a sealed box since Im limited to space. What do you guys suggest I get? Should it be one of those 2 or something else? I do later on planning on upgrading the amp to something that puts out about 600-700w rms to each channel The other 2 subs I was thinking of were maybe some RF T1s or kicker L7s

One of my Vifa's quit playing last night. Not blown, but was cutting in/out. Wiring is fine. I had this problem with one right out of the box. If you wiggle the speaker lead it'll come back on. I'm actually using this as an excuse to try a new set of tweets I run 2 AA poly mids per door and I'm very happy with them and the Vifa's seemed to compliment them well. I'm no audio snob obviously and not looking for THE best there is. I'd just like to try something a little brighter as I found the Vifa's to be rather laid back, which was fine for most music, but on most rock, the cymbals were very quiet/muted.
