I see the recommending tuning is from 27-33hz. How do those number compare? Is 27hz going to loose a lot of top end compared to 33hz? Does tuning on the lower end of the range actually gain a noticeable amount of deep bass production>

Does anyone know the cutout for an eclipse Ti 12"? I've got box built, just need to make the cutout, but don't know what it is. Help would be nice since eclipses site doesn't say anything.

Well long story but i have a 95 toyota camry 4 door, this is the first car i ever got. Got it when i was 16, wrecked it that same year, now its almost done being fixed and i am currently 18. But now that it is almost done i am excited because it is a nice car to put a good system in it. So i was wondering what kind of speakers to put in my car. The HU i wanted to go with was the Kenwood Excelon x792. The speaker sizes are 6.5" in the front and 6x9" in the rear. I like speakers that give really nice sound quality and i listen to all types of music but mostly hip hop. Also i wanted something that is going to be loud too. I plan on amplifying it as well. So any ideas on what…

I have decided to go ahead and keep supporting the local shop around here and buy speakers from him. All speakers listed would be bought at dealer cost. If you vote, tell me why you voted the way you did.

Due to the need for space in the back of my truck, I am forced to downsize. Currently I have 2 fi bl 18's installed. What should I do? [scenario 1] I have 2 fi bl 12's that I purchased along with the 18's and haven't touched them yet. So I would just make a box for them and put it in. [scenario 2] I would remove 1 18 and build a new box [scenario 3] I would sell both of my 18 inch bl's and buy a single 18 inch BTL and use it. Which way would be the loudest? Subs up, port back. Sundown audio 3kd. So the main question would be, will I still get the lows with 12's that I get with 18's? And would an 18 inch BTL be louder than 2 12 inch BL's? Help is appreciated

I was thinking about putting three 10" subs in my '91 Vette, so I posted an earlier thread asking for suggestions and a few people suggested that I run just one 12" sub instead. Personally, I think three 10's would fit nicely, sound better and get louder than just one 12, but I'd like to know what everyone else thinks about it. The maximum dimentions I have to work with are 34" x 12 1/2" x 18". Thanks for any input.

I bought and installed a recone kit for a Soundsplinter RL-P18 (TC-9 motor). Things were going well, everything aligned properly, or so I thought. When the cone is depressed with equal pressure on it there is no scratching noise so the coil does appear to be misaligned. When running at low volumes (Low excursion) the sub sounds fairly decent, perhaps just a bit too distorted compared to the sub when i had originally bought it. The issues start when I begin to turn it up (300-500 watts). There seems to be a clipping noise of sorts and it becomes very distracting from the useful output of the sub. I cannot test the DCR because I have no working DMM but using a 9 V battery…

  19. I blew one of my focal tweeters when my amp popped/blew and need to find a replacement. I really like the inverted dome TNB tweeter that came with my 165VR's much smoother and not harsh like all of Focal's other tweeters I am just replacing them I don't want component tweeters I don't want harsh tweets can't handle the piercing highs. What do I get to replace it/them. Going in an Escalade not stock location I believe they will have to be 45mm tweeters I really don't want to redrill. Not too expensive less than 100$ preferably 130$ max. Thanks for your help

I see a lot of people that's wanting to sell a pair of sundown x 10's. The thing is idk if I have enough mounting depth for them to fit in a wedge type enclosure for my truck. I know I have enough air space for them, but mounting depth is what kicking me in the a$$. How do you guys think they would work in a wedge style enclosure? Here are the dimensions of the area I have to play with... Front height-10.5" Rear height-8" Depth-17.5" Width-55"

  23. I have been doing tons of searching here and on other forums as I try to figure out exactly what I want to go into my next build. My question here is on subs. I have it narrowed down to three choices(til someone decides to throw something else into the mix). Diamond Audio D6, Fi Q, and SSA ICON. I will be using 2 15" drivers in an ex cab ranger. Most likely sealed at about 5 cubes. They will be seeing 1800rms from a T1500-1BD. I like it loud and clear. Tight and accurate all the way down to 40hz and lower. I like flat response, not too crazy peaky(except some hip-hop). I listen to anything, mostly rock though. I am looking to see if anyone can compare the Diamonds to the…
