  1. I just sold my SA-12, and i'm currently looking for a new sub, I have a couple ideas. I want a 12' or a 15', i've been looking at several 15's, and i have about $600 to spend on it, i was powering my SA-12 with a Hifonics BRZ2100.1D. I want my next sub to be able to take that with ease. I've been looking at an Fi: BTL N2, Xcon 15' or 12', IA Death Penalty 12' or 15', or maybe even a warden 12' or 15'. I'm really just looking for a sub that will hit harder than my SA-12, its in the trunk of a hemetically sealed bmw, so it has to be loud in order for the sound to carry to the cabin because 80% of the sound stays inside of the trunk point is, I'm willing and open to all sug…

  3. Stopped at an audio shop in central MN and was very impressed with the Arc Audio Black series. Its a 2 way passive component set with a 6.5" mid, a 1" tweeter, and passive crossovers, I'm planning on running it active since i have an 80PRS. Anyway the guy was quoting me a price of $670 l(could hopefully talk him down a bit) Its cheaper than what I've seen the for new online. I'm hoping to hear personal reviews of these being installed. I have the 80PRS for a HU and a RF T8004 to power the component set. The mid will be installed in factory location and the tweeter will be installed in the door, right above the mid. If anyone has questions or comments please them below.

well i had the day off of work and class today and was boared as hell. so i decided to make a new face for the front of the box the IA was in which is around 3.5CF with a big ass 4" slot port.i also installed a little oldschool kicker zr240 amp (clamped 475watts) and ran it with a 2 ohm load. im VERY surprised. the sub itself doesnt really move all that much and it gets lowwwwwwww. the range of hz it was low and powerful id say was between 20 and 38hz. everything else was ok. anyways i thought id fill you guys in on whats been going on with the danger ranger. i didnt get the mustang back today either b/c i had to buy a new starter and the mechanic cant install it till tom…

to anyone out there claiming to hit a certain number with their solo X 12's do me a favor and OWN their a$$. i am getting kinda sick of seeing the crap floating around and hope i dont have to see it here. maybe if we nip it in the bud in every forum we all visit we wont have to worry about it spreading here. Now if they say their solo X 12 is valid because of a red or black X in fingernail polish, let em believe it, me a tracy are just making a couple bucks off the sucka's we got enough to retire yet tracy? Hey friends, just wanted to share my most recent build with you all, my first Solo X 15. This was a challenging sub to build, but a lot of fun. Big thanks goes out to David, Rusty, and everyone who had a hand in helping make this happen (too many to remember). A lot of people stepped up and helped out, but none more than the man himself, David Moore@PSi. He and Rusty answered every question I could come up with, and without them both, this would not have happened, period. So thanks guys, it really means a lot! So I started with an idea to build a Solo X 15. Little did I know it had already been done, multiple times by PSi. (Check it out) So, I began talking to Da…

Hey guys! so its time to get around to finishing up my car in at least short terms. And i've got Big 3 to do, dampening (it never ends), and a new front stage. What would you guys recommend for a front stage? Lemme give you guys the set-up/etc i'm looking currently for a so-so good sounding driver. I'm in a way looking for stuff to keep up with my sub and not be overpowered. So just a good sounding driver for my price range. Size: 6.5" slot...the window cuts pretty close in terms of mounting depth, so nothing thats overly deep Components Vs. Coaxials: I'm not real particular, but i don't really want to modify my doors. Coaxials are of course 6.5's and components are 6.5 m…

Hey guys, Just need a few opinions. For the new season, I'm going to go with 2 15's instead of 1. Only thing is, I'm using RE Audio right now, shud I just buy a second RE SX, or I've been looking at the Memphis MOJO 15's or the Digital Design 9515's or the Fi BTL 15's w/ full options. I'm going to be running 2 SAZ-1500d's strapped from Jacob at Sundown . Which ones would be the best bang for my buck? I'll be using this as strictly a SPL setup only. I really like this SX I'm running now, but as you all know, you always want more.....haha Thanks for anyones input. Anybody prefer 1 sub over another... and why? Just looking to pick the best sub available that I'm looking at…

  18. I've just got this sub and at first was very disappointed with it and the lack of output and low end bass it produces, it is in a sealed box BTW, so I thought ok, it need to wear it in.... so I've now had it running for roughly about 4 or 5 hours in total this week. It seems to be a bit better but still sounds just crap and pathetic with poor low end...especially considering its worth a lot more than my previous 8" sub My previous 8" sub picked up lows very well and had pretty good output for a $40Au ($30 approx USD) sub, I'd prefer it over this monster double stacked motored Rockford Fosgate It just isnt right and distorts really easy and the old cheap sub just puts it t…

  23. I'm still looking and agonizing over sub decisions. So many things out there.. I was thinking Fi SSD's, but I want other options as well. Here's what I want: Three 12", 4ohm DVC Good mix of SQ and SPL, with a bit more SPL $250 or less (preferably in the $200 range) Sealed box @ about 1.25cu ft per sub (net displacement) Someone suggested to me the new Hertz HX300's. Has anyone heard these? How do they sound, and how loud can they get?
