Subwoofers / Speakers

Is there a decent one? The speakerLite seems a tad limiting.... Some time this week I will know res peak and cabin gain for the truck....time to plug some numbers in and see what happens.....

I've been looking online for subs. Since the best buy near me doesn't have anything. Here are some of the ones I'm looking at sub 1 sub 2 subs 3 subs 4 I'm on a lowish budget, and I'm trying to get an enclosure & amp combo. I obviously want the best for the buy. Post links of ones you think are better, or which one would you suggest. Thanks guys !

hi guys, would just like to get inputs and possible if i could, get the best for my application. - sub will be in the trunk of a car. - fired towards the cabin through the center arm rest - max box would be 2 cubes, 1.5 cubes or smaller preferred - final impedance of 4 ohms - good for 1k watts of power in 4 ohms - SQ install but has a capability to massage me if i want to crank it up abit - can be tuned to a flat bass sound as much as possible thanks

i am going to be facing my sub down in my truck to make everything kinda hidden. curious if having the sub facing down will have a really different effect then the sub facing up or facing towards the front? anyone have experience with this?? thanks!

I am working on an SQ-oriented install and am trying to figure out where I want everything laid out. Anyway, is there any major drawback someone can come up with if I were to fire the subs up (sealed box)? I know the only true way to find out is to try it and see, but the box dimensions will be different depending on the direction (an I don't have time to build 2-4 boxes and find out). Any quick tips or ideas are greatly appreciated. ML

Guy i work with has amp already, hifonics bxi2608d, the amp is rated at 2600x1@ 1 ohm. I dont think it does that much but he wants to run 1 12" or 1 15". Out of FI BTL, sundown Z-15, nightshade, or death penalty, which would work better with that power, ported, cant use no more than 5 cubes.

Sorry if I'm beating a dead horse. but I need help narrowing my decision down to one sub. I listen to NO rap, so big SPL isn't that important to me. I listen to alot of rock and metal, so fast, tight bass, ala Mudvayne, Slipknot, Korn, Tool, Seether.... So LSQ is what I want. Anyways, I want a single 12" sub that will probably be in a ported box. Not sure on the size, but hopefully not huge. Maybe around ~2.0 cu. ft. The amp i have is a Kicker ZX1000.1 birthed at 1152WRMS. K, here's my choices.... FI Q TC9 TC2000 TC3000 (little more than I want to spend, but if its worth it....) Which would be the best choice and why? Thanks!!

I'm looking for recommendations for a sub. I've got a .82 cubic ft custom sealed fiberglass enclosure and a Polk Audio PA400.1 which does 300w at 2ohm - actual output could be a little higher from what I've read. I'm looking to spend under $200. I like to have some "thump" but accuracy is far more important. I had a ID12d2v2 from about 5 years ago but that one's done. So my xcon has been getting hot lately only after 30 mins of play on 1100 rms. Voltage stays anywhere from 13-14 while its bumping. Gain isnt even halfway up and there isnt really any distortion. Anybody have experience with this or am i just paranoid? Thanks

I have a problem with my mtx 12s everything is hooked up but when I press the gas the subs go off and i thought it was the fuse it was hooked to but i switched the fuse and it kept doing it so I took it off the fuse and left it off but I started driving home and the subs kept going off what could it be I need help

I picked up a Old School Memphis 1500 today and was wondering what should i pair it with. I mostly want SQ but also want my sub to be LOUD. I listen to all types of music, mostly rap but also R&B, rock, and death metal. I was thinking of going with these subs: 1 Memphis Mojo 15, 1 AA Havoc 15, or 1 Orion HCCA 12.

Hey everyone. I am getting ready to order equipment for my new boat. In my last boat I ran two FI Q 12's with the high qts option in 1 cube sealed fiberglass enclosures (after displacement) with 1200 watts rms each. With that I have two questions: 1) What subs would you recommend (I have been looking at the Xcon, Q, and Exile Big, but am open to anything). I have a Exile 2500.1 amp that I plan to use which puts out 2500 watts at 1 ohm. 2) What would fit best in the space provided (info below)? i have one type r running at 2 ohms at 500 rms....its in a ported box with the sub facing the inside of the car with the seats down....can anyone give me any suggestions to make it louder or just anything to make it better

hope to get some inputs for the sub. it could be a 12" or 15". car to be designed on is a 96 accord. target is to be able to play loud but accurate. meaning it can play rap, techno/trans, soft/ballads, rock etc., still with good readings from termlab... possiblly dbdrag style yet as accurate sounding as possible. requirements: 1. box is no bigger that 3.5 cubes - so that spare tire would be accessible 2. box design can only be a wedge 2 enclosure type box - to maximize all space and still get the spare tire 3. sub would be placed facing the cabin, possibly on the back seat position for a single sub, but towards the trunk for a dual sub or all towards the trunk. depends on…

Ok so I want to buy a sub but I dont know what to get. So I was hoping you guys could steer me in the right direction. Every time that I bought a sub I went to the store and listened to it and if I liked it I bought it. Now, I am most likely going to buy it online. So my question here is what am I looking at/for when I shop onlie for a sub? Here is kind of what I am looking for: Either a 12" or 15" (ill take suggestions for both) 1500 wrms in a sealed box. Please dont just say "Go with these cuz they are effin awesome!". Tell me why they are effin awesome. I need to have an educated decision because my truck is literary being built around the sub. Going through a local shop today they had these setting in the back with a generic label on them. The lady said it had some off brand subs in there.. with no info on them any idea? I know sundown I pulled both out the coils look good.. any idea which sun down? these were the best pics I could get also it was 170 for the pair.

I got 12" Jensen hooked up on a Lanzar Vibe276 and for some reason it is continuously popping. The sub pushes out like it's playing a 1 hz test or something. Someone told me it was clipping but I am not sure. Any Ideas. Thanks ~Thomas

after i sealed it up with silicone the first time the weird noise stopped but there is a noise thats back again. at higher volumes my low bass drops off severely and it makes this crazy noise. im so confused..

With my car falling apart and things being broken I'm done with my 18. I currently have the image dynamics 6.5 component set in the front but they wouldn't sound that good without a subwoofer. I can probably get 3-400 for my 18 and the box. With that budget what can I do in the front to make it sound good and still hit decent without a subwoofer. My amp puts 50x4 at 4 ohms, 100x4 at two ohms and 200x2 at 4 ohms.

These are the only subs i can afford that are available in my country, im looking for cheap 12" sub just want to know which one will be louder and better SQ. so i was wondering if there were any local guys(central/south florida) who would want to get together and check out each others packages, err, i mean subs? im in the market for a new sub and it would be awesome if i could check out/hear other ppls different subs and builds. i mean, i could go to the store, but you know how it is there... and if u you look at a demo car, its f'ing fully equipped and whatnot so you get your hopes up only to be crushed with a dollar amount/value
