Well, I'm going to need some PA mids to blend with my crescendo supertweets. http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?Partnumber=264-422 I'm looking at these, they are 8 ohms. My plan is to split the power of my rear two channels of my Arc Audio FD4.150. It's rated 160 per channel at 2 ohms. I currently have Type R 6x9s on them, and I wish them to remain on the channel. Assuming I hook up 2 of those Selenium mids + a type r 6x9 per channel, the amp will see a two ohm load correct? 1/(.125+.125+.25)=2. And each speaker will be receiving ~53 watts (of course not continuous) correct? This seems like it should work but I'm not positive...

I'm thinking about getting another 12" I currently have the Q in a sealed box and love the response and how quick it is to catch everything I throw at it; I have a sax-1200 running it. But I'm looking for something new and a little louder. Is it worth trying it in a ported box before I sell it or should I just jump to the RL-p is this sub any better? I keep hearing good things about it. I listen to a wide range of music depends on what im diggin at the moment. Owned a w7 before and old re se and some other not worth mentioning. So far Q has to be a favorite.

Im going to get a SX, but my dilemma is what to get. I got a little over 2cubes that im wiling to give up on a daily basis. What im looking at is either a ported 12 or a sealed 15. I know most will say the 12 just due to basic output levels, but ive always had a hard time putting a single 12 in anyone of my vechicles, ive always gone with a 15. The only thing that is the saving grace for the 15 is that I DO have this really nice box sitting around at home that I used to have my 15 HC in. And that would work real nice for days I wanna be jut a little louder. Specs that matter Amp- kicker kx700.5...yes im well aware of the power it produces compared to the SX rms Car- Toyo…

i have a dilema. i have a zx2500.1 now. i am gonna purchase 2 15.2 orion hcca's next week. but since some faggy ass mofos done stripped my other car i think i wanna put more money into this setup. i have a 6cub ft box @ 35hz for these subs. i am contemplating buying another zx2500.1 to run one amp per sub. i am prepared and fully aware of the elec upgrades need to be successful. so with all this being said what would be a realistic difference in the 2 setups. 2 hcca's wit 1 amp or 2 hcca's wit 2 amps. obviously this is a problem cause i need to buy the subs according to the ohm load they will be run at. my goal is to have loud and deep clear bass. i want some movement(fl…

Hey guys, so I'm thinking of making the switch to a no sub set-up for awhile at least because the room in the trunk would be nice and I am starting to go away from that whole rap/bass phase. Currently, I just have a layer or two of eDead in my doors that are pretty solid on the actual door metal, but I am sure I am lacking covering up the larger holes. My question is what can I do or what would be my best bet for setting up a good deadening scheme. I've heard to maybe get some quality deadener (second skin or raammat?) and maybe some ensolite, but if I could hear it some more in detail or some tips that'd be great. To know what I'm dealing with, my set-up is this: Adire K…

Hey Mark, Just curious how much it would cost to get one of my Mach 5 SPL-12s fixed. It fell in my box, and cracked the basket. My dad and I used some epoxy and got the basket as true as it could be before we epoxied it, however I'd like to get it repaired right. It would need a new recone and basket I would think. Are you able to repair your subs, and if you can, how much would you figure it would cost?

Ok now I need your guys unbiased opinion on which subs should I get. I will be getting a Sundown 3000D:). I have about 10-11 C.F to work with. Which combo will or has the potential to get louder? The BL's are less expensive but with the NS's I can always upgrade to another 3000D if I feel its not loud enough lol. Will the NS's be louder enough to compensate for the price difference? What do you guys think? This is what it will be going in below I will be taking the back seat out;) Thanks,

Man i must have gotten used to my Magnum 12s because they are not cutting it for me now. Maybe i just need to stop being lazy and go ahead and get my 180amp alternator installed. Dont get me wrong, the bass still hits amazingly hard, but im used to it. So i keep trying to turn the knob up more and more. Anywayz, i thought about selling my old claw style 12s and use that money plus some to go ahead and get two of the 15s. Only problem with that is, i have a 96 Honda accord. My trunk isnt big at all. And i love ported boxes. Right now my 12s are in a 2cu box tuned to 29hz. And thats basically my whole trunk. Im sure i can squeeze a tad bit more room, but not much at all. Ba…

I need to decide on the speakers that will handle the top end of the audio spectrum. Here is what I have; my 18" Q with the BP option on a sundown 1500, the L8's from HAT will handle the mid, I have an older 4 chan v12 alpine, that should work, and if not... which will relaly piss me off... I'll need to get another 4chan, or 2, 2chan amps. I think the alpine gets about 45-65 per chan if I remember correctly, but I also seam to remember the rating was a good deal under actual benched amounts from when other people tested them. I don't really have a budget, but I honestly wasn't in the mood to pay what the L1 pro's cost even with the 25% off. I just had my doubts about th…

So, ive known abt digital designs subs for a long time but have always thought that its all SPL and no SQ. A friend of mine recently got thier 3512 12" sub and told me that not only does it pound, but the SQ is nothing to be laughed at. He's a good friend of mine so I trust his opinion, but he lives in another state so I cant hear it for myself. Now for the match up... -in one corner, the digital designs 3512 ported with 1200 watts -in the other corner a mag 12" ported with 1200 watts now I assume that the DD sub would beat the mag in SPL (tell me if im wrong) but how much would the DD sub be lacking in SQ versus the mag any help, thoughts, comments, or opinions would be…

Well I've had the sub for a few weeks now, it's on a crescendo bc2000d. I've noticed after about 2min I can reach back and feel the dust cap and it's pretty warm, if I keep playing like it like that it just stays that temp and I never smell coil... What I'm wondering is, is there a certain temp the coil runs at with the new motor? Is it still breaking in causing it to be a little hotter? Help me out y'all, I don't won't to melt this beast haha
