Hey guys, I am starting to save up some money to put into a system for my car and I am trying to decide on subs. Ive never had a big power setup before but I wanted to take a shot at it. My car is a 2002 hyundai XG350L. I want to do the setup to either have the port going thorugh a skipass or ported through the rear deck. I want to seal the box from the trunk to maximize potential. My original thoughts were to go with 2 12" xcons. But now that I've been starting to shop around im thinking that a single 15 might work better. Im really having a tough time deciding because 12's and a single 15" xcon would both be good setups. I know that there is a major power difference bet…

What is there to expect? Will it be the same as a mag, only fitting the lower price bracket? I decided i wont at my age, income status, and everything going on to afford 2 15mags even 1 for that matter... I need suggestions as to what to do. I wish i could do 20.1 and two 15"s but HA! Im dreaming. But i dont want to drop SI, they seem to be a solid company... So With that in mind what will the bm's be looking like, so i can get an idea of how to power them and what not... So I need a budget IA 20.1 2x 15"Mag setup... =) If that makes any sense

i currently have 2 sa-15s and want to upgrade. I want to know which one will be louder. i'm thinking either adding 2 more sa-15's and getting another amp or should i step up and get 2 sundown Z 15's?

well i have a set of alpine type r 6x9's that i used to use for the rear fill, ever since june when i got my k's the pressure would build inside the trunk and distort the hell out of type r's in the rear deck. so they have been sitting in my room for some time now and i was thinking about making a set of Infinite baffel kick panels for them. i was considering getting some crystal comp set, but i wanted to see what i could do with what i already have and save some money hopefully. i want Infinite baffel because i know they will sound good like that and because the trunk used to act like a giant box for them. so what do you guys think about this here idere? al

I keep coming on to the boards and looking at everyone setups, and god its making me want to buy some Magnum 15s. I already have 2 of the 12s (claw basket) but dang im such a basshead. Oh well, i guess i can feel lucky that i have the original prototype. (its still not a 15 though) lol. oh well, have fun with yall mags guys

I just got my cadence zx651 coaxials today in the mail and just finished installing them a little while ago. They look pretty good imo but it doesnt really matter since they are covered by the stcok grill. I would post a nice review but it really is too soon to say much with certainty. I did get to listen to a bit of an eagles live cd and i will say I was pretty impressed with these speakers considering I paid only $45. They arent amazing but they are a nice (cheap) upgrade from stock. The midbass is decent on these and the highs are pretty good too. They appear to be a tiny bit too harsh for me, but I am sure I can fix this with a little tweaking. I am also very tempted …

I have installed a new pair of Havoc 15" subwoofers in my truck, powered by two SAE-1000D amps bridged and notice a distinct lack of dynamic range, or ability to hit "peaks". It's almost as if it's built to play test tones, only. As soon as I play rock music at relatively high volumes, the fast bass notes and kicks clip and distort. It's not very loud, but I turn the gains down till it no longer clips, as any good car audio enthusiast would. Now it's quieter than quiet, and it just barely wants to clip if a loud enough drum comes along. Now if I play a bass mekanik CD I rattle store windows and do mini-hair-tricks at 20Hz. Whats the difference between Fo and Fs

If i were to get two 12 ixls and push them with a sundown 1200d, would they be louder than if i were to just purchase one and put the full 1200 watts to it? Also this may be a dumb question but a friend of mine's dad is gonna build me a box, and if i were to make 1 cut out on one side, later on could i add another cut out to the other side? Its gonna be a sealed box but i was wondering if that would mess the frequencies up and stuff. thanks

as stated in the topic description, i listen to alot of rock music along with rap and country. i have some eD 6000's in the doors of my 94 chevy that i personally cut holes for. it used to have 4x6's in the dash that sounded crappy. i also put some rainbow 5.25's in the rear panels, its an ext cab, not sure wut model the rainbows are, 100 bux on ebay. anyway, im lookin for more midbass when listening to rock music. i have a XXX 18 and an FI BTL 18. What was the suggested volume for the Claw Mag in a sealed box. I think it was 0.5 - 1.5, what do you guys suggest? Also what is the mounting depth for the claw mag? Thanks!

Hi all.Im wanting to replace my 2 type r 15's with 1 18 or maybe 2 different 15's.I would like to just have 1 18 so I was wondering what would be a good 18 to replace my 2 15's?Right now I have a clarion CZ 200 head unit, and a Autotek 1500 Street Machine amp.My car is a 1977 oldsmobile Delta 88 and my subs are in the trunk and thats where the 18 would go also.I was thinking about the FI BL 18" sub.Im not real familar with any other brands so any suggestions would be appreciated.Thanks. Could someone please explain how these work. I know of the advantages of sealed and ported over eachother but where do these fall in?

I am going to be changing my install around here very soon, and I am going to try to invert mount either my 15a or my Mag, it depends how much vision I lose... I am going to try to recess it so it doesn't affect vision, but nonetheless I was wondering if it was possible to get replacement mounting gasket and magnet cover for the Claw Mag. I think everyone agrees these baskets should be shown off, but there is some glue on these 2 items and I feel it would be an injustice to mount such a nice sub with glue and worn plastic on it. I recently wanted to have a under the seat build for my truck, but now I've come up with the decision to go a little bit bigger with the enclosure. I don't want to take my seats completely out. my plan is to flip my seats up and build a box that's I can take out if I needed to use my rear seat. 15' s are out the question cause the enclosure will be to large to move around, so my options are multiple 10' s or 12' s. I have my saz-3500 but I plan on selling it and get a saz-4500 or two crescendo bc2000's I want to keep the price of the subs under $1000. I listen to 90% rap and I will not be competing. the source I have to work with is W-50 D-16 H-17.5

How do the Axis 15" stack up to the 15" BTL in terms of SPL running off a SAZ-3000? I never heard any of Audiopulse or any TC Sounds products I'm just curious and I know the BTL beats pretty hard.

I just scored one of these on ebay for $70 shipped. It was a store display model. Did i get a decent deal? Also if anybody has any info or box specs they can give me i'd appreciate it.
