Ive got myself a 1977 Buick Regal...thas one of those metal cars...no plastic...and no type of dampening so yes sound dampening is on my to get list. Im not an all out SPL guy, but not any all out SQ guy... Im more of a "LSQ" guys that many people are...but wont admit it. Due to an awkward trunk...I AM A go with either 1 15 or 2 10s. I want it to sound clean and hit the lows. so, once again... i was surfing the local craigslist looking and hoping id find a nice single 12 and came across 2 kicker solo x 18s... one with a new recone and one used. He was asking $400 each so i decided to lowball the ish outta him.. ended up getting them for... a more than good deal. idk what it is with ppl around cincinnati, but they make me happy haha. almost as good as the aq3500 i got for $150 lol sorry, i had to share!

So, my sister wants a audio make-over for her '05 Liberty as the stock system doesn't work well with her iPhone and speakers are pretty shot. She listens to a lot of music and A LOT of differnt types of music. Id like to hook her up with a really well rounded system that I can setup and forget it. so, i just got alpine type s 6x9, and wow.... before, when bassy notes hit, it made a weird noise, but now its awesome! sounds super clear! so i wanna replace the rest, but i dont know what i want... should i go alpine all around? i dont wanna replace the 6x9s again, atleast anytime soon. i just wanna get rid of stock for now. later il upgrade to alot better everything. but right now, i think i wanna change the tweeters now. cuz they arent clear. theyre kinda.... not staticy, but like... its like theyre almost busted.i dont think they are, but it has that kinda... paper like sound. so i wanna do those next, then the door speakers, then my center dash speaker. any recommen…

Would it sound better to have 1 $300 sub or 2 $150 subs ( 12" powered by 1 950Wrms amp)? Or maybe 2 $150 subs powered by 2 650Wrms amps?

Wassup everyone??? Im in the process of getting two 12" SA-12's... I want to port them.... but dont want to take up the entire trunk in my car (Looking @ a 2011 Dodge Charger). Per the info I copied below ... it says I can go with 1-1.5 cubes per sub but I just have to tune higher. I'm thinking of just scratching my previous posts and might go for a single 15 ported. I want a loud setup with good SQ. You all probably know what amp I have by now (JBL GTO 1201.1 II puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms). I'm having a b!tch of a time picking a 15 being there are soo many good ones. So far I want a 15 that'll sound good, get loud and drop low in 3 cubes ported. So far these are what I'm trying to decide between. I know all probably sound good but which would get louder? New truck, new system waiting... Bought a 2011 Ram Quad Cab truck and have everything together sitting in my living room and I am stuck on woofers. It's a whole lot worse with 3 subs hooked up. Measuring at the amps, I can get a 6ohm or more even fluctuation.

well basically i LOVE my 16o.v2 but it just friied on me and well i want to try somthing new ,my amp fried as well i will put the mag in a sealed box ,i will have a 9.1 to power it ,900w @2ohm 1200w @1 ohm the o.v2 got 900w and was in 1.8 cubes and it rocked my world and sounded freakin awesome to me ,so smooth punchy and blended well basically what will i gain if i switch to a 15" magnum i listen to EVERYTHING ,i want the loudest SQ possible thanks

I am so siked first of all! A couple people from REO got me to look into the SSA line and I am very impressed I will be getting 2 of the Xcon 18s and I will be powering them with one Audiopipe AP-3001D. That amp needs a ton of power to put up over 2,000 watts so I plan on getting 2 2400 Kinetiks for the back and maybe a red top under my hood. I drive a 2009 Malibu 4 cylinder soo I'm not quite sure if they even make bigger alternators lol. Hopefully 3 solid batteries will do the trick! I'm interested in adding a pair of 6.5" midbass drivers to my kick panels. The 4x6's aren't cutting it in the midbass section. I like the mach 5 mli65's and Dayton DC160S's. I'm up to suggestions other than these two drivers. Any suggestions?

hey everyone, I have an Fi Q12, in a 2.2 cuft ported box with a memphis prd 1000.1, but i really want more truck space. So i was going to just get a 1.2 cuft box for my Q12. But the new mag seems very interesting. Will the new mag preform better with a memphis prd 1000.1 and 1.1 sealed box then the Fi Q12? Sell my box and fi Q12 to my friend who is in love with my set up and get a 1.1 cuft box and get the new MAG? or. Keep the Q12 and get a 1.2 cuft box thanks

is it true when you first install a sub and run it for the first time it's best you should not play it at full power for a while.the reason i ask this is because i was never told this by anyone before you had to do this and i wanted to make sure since i been playing my sub at full power for like 4 hours total since i had it and i can tell the sub is not real stiff after playing it for a while ?

im looking to upgrade from my previous setup which consisted of 2 AQ sdc2.5 15's and an AQ1200D, basically i want to get louder, but i have the same limited space i had before. the dimensions i have to work with are 47" wide, 15" deep, and 35" high. i will be using an AQ2200D to power this system. i mainly listen to decaf music or other rap/hiphop 90% of the time, other 10% is rock/metal. so a sub that likes to be tuned low is what im going after. my budget is 500-600 bucks tops. im just having a hard time making a decision because i want to make sure this setup will get louder... i dunno if i want 2 15's that can take more power, or a single 18, or a IA DP 21, or 4 12's.…

well i got my icon and amp and build a 2.75 cuft sealed box that ssa reccomended on their site. i had it playing and it sounded ok, not as good as i was expecting from everyones reviews but that may be because i didnt adjust settings. but while i was listening the amp cut off and now only starts up in protect mode then shuts off. what would be my problem??? i cant figure it out

Plan "A" didn't work out so I need help with forming a plan"B". Plan "A" was to be a single 10" dcon under the passenger side rear seat. Can get the required airspace(.9 net) for the dcon but just cant get the depth to mount it. The sub could be installed but the magnet would literally be sitting on the back of the enclosure or the cone sitting on the floor. I used the search function and see some recommend shallow mount subs while others recommend running eights. In the posts I read there were mixed reviews on the performance of the shallow mount subs while the eights seem to be fairly popular. Hey all. I was hoping you all could help me compare and contrast a couple different subs. I’m not going to ask which is better, I’ll make that decision. Just want some input on where each sub may have its strong points, weak points, etc. speaker size is 15”. Amp rms rated power is 2750 at 1 ohm. But after rise etc etc you get the idea. looking for a set of components still someone help me i have an 2002 s-10 i have a pioneer head unit re sx ten inch sub and an usamps md1d amp. ill probably be using a kac-723 kenwood amp for the components. not sure how far i would take it modification wise ill probably use mid bass in the regular spot and then tweeter in the a pillar or very top of door panal budget for the components are about 250 im a beginner but my dad is alot better than me ill probably be using mdf and fiberglass just depends on what works best i listen to everything rap rock country dont matter only had the coasixals havent heard many components only at car shows a few years ago no real goals…
