I'm highly considering purchasing these for my suv but I haven't been able to really find a good review anywhere online. I was wondering if any of you guys have installed them or know a link to a good review. Thanks!

I was planing to build a box that's about 1.50 cubic feet tuned to 36hz that's all I have room for. But I don't know which sub I should get Sa-12 Sa-10 E12v2. My amp should do around 750rms clean. This is for a ext cab truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello guy was really looking at some new subs to replace my old jl audio w6 12"s. I was interested in the sundown sa12 model and been checking out some nasty videos where these sub can take a beating and put up some numbers. But was wondering if there where any standard cut sheets on these subs? I've seen on there website for box volumes. Was thinking on going ported and i have not built any ported boxes, but was just wanting to just get the dimensions and go.

I was contemplating on which i would rather have. I was wondering if i should go with two Sa12s or a single zv3 15. Currently i have a Fi Bl 15 being powered with a Hifonics BRE 1700.1. My box size is going to have to stay around 3.5 cubes because of my limited trunk space in my 2010 Malibu. So would you guys prefer 2 sa12s or the single 15? P.s. I lean more towards lows, would the Sa's get very low?

I have a PDX-1.1000 and I would really like to try a Sundown sub for the first time. Can I run the 1.1000 to a single SA10 in a ported box? Will it handle all the power from the amp?

Thinking of a pair of x 12's by sundown or a pair of lvl 3 12's by dc. What would you consider a better woofer for musical lows.

im not sure how either one of these subs sound so im depending on you guys to tell me. im not sure weather to go with 2 SA 8" Sundown audio subs OR go with one SA 10" OR im thinking one Fi Bl 10"? not sure what amp yet with the 2 SA 8s or with the one SA 10, but with the Fi Bl 10 i would be going with a Sundown SAE-1200Dv2. which one of these would sound the deepest and loudest to factory recommendations? 15. Hello guys, I am looking to put together a system with one 10 inch driver in a ported box for my mustang. I am looking for something with around 1500 watts rms, long throw excursion with 30mm or greater xmax. These are the choices that i have found and liked so far: Sundown x10 Sundown z10 Tantric Sounds hd10 I seen some others like ssa xcon 10 but it is still based on the old style basket and spider setup and while it has an xmax of 31mm, Jacob of Sundown said that these older designs reach xmax and xmech at the same time whereas the new styles like the x,z and tantric subs are designed with way more throw built in so over excursion wont damage the woofer to an exten…

Ive read quite a few different posts on the net and there seems to be an argument with what the correct port area for one of these subs is. Im trying to come up with a new box and im unsure on what kind of port area i need. Ive seen on the smd forums someone said the minimum should be 52 sqin of port, then ive seen the number 38 sqin on other, and also had someone say they contacted sundown and it should be 20 sqin?? This is the only thing keeping me from starting on a new box. Can someone please help me out with this? If it helps, box will be around 2cubes at 30hz ran with a hifonics brz2100. I know its not the best of amps but it is what im stuck with for now. Also thi…

I'm in the last stages of deciding my setup. I decided on 2 18's and want to know how these three compare to each other. I'm going to have 11 cubes tuned around 31-32 to work with and 2 Crecendo 2k's. I'm looking for a SPL sub,but with Monster lows to flex everything. That's about all I have to ask.

I'll be running a pair of Z15's, I guess I listen to mostly rap, but I spend about half of my listening experience listening to virtually any other genre. Just looking for suggestions on what about I should tune the box to. I was thinking about 33hz, but now find myself second guessing as it comes closer to box building time. Thoughts/inputs/insults?

  21. As the title states... Im looking for the recommended box sizes for the subs (both sealed and ported). The place where they should be listed on Sundown's website are all blank. Tried searching as well... but no luck. I at least found the displacement on the 10" is .25 Thanks in advance for your help fellaz!

Hey guys, so I just got me a sundown zv5 15 and built a box for it. I was tight on space so i went with an aero ported box, its roughly in the 4.5 ft3 area after displacement and what not. I'm using a 8" sonotube tuned to 32hz. I figure the 8 would work well because it's slightly less port area than what is needed for a slot port. And I've read aero port don't need to be as much as a slot port. Anywho, the sub kills the lows! It's moving a lot of air. But on the higher frequency is just lacks. For example , young jeezy- put on, that first note out of that 4 notes really sucks. lol it's real quiet compared to the other 3 notes that follow it. I tried another p…

Hey just seeing if anyone here has a little more experience here is my information on the set up have a 280amp alternator and good optima yellow top two runs of 1/0 and good grounds running a sundown zv5 15 d1 at 2 ohms on a svc6000 sundown amp. Have the sub sonic set to aproximate 30hz the box tuned to 32hz and low pass set to aproximate 75hz it is built to recommended specs 4.5 cubes after displacment and 68 cubic inches of Port have the gain set between 1/4 and 1/2 gain to take it easy for the first bit of playing and found its pushing but now distorted voltage drop is only 13.6 v lowest and find after a while has slight hot/wood smell the sub is just new and has about…

SI is doing a system in a customers house and we ordered the 9" Sunfire Jr subwoofer for this application (cost and size). For those of you who don't know what a Sunfire Jr is, it is an 8" driver with an 8" PR and a 1400 watt amplifier all inside a 9" cube that is finished beautifully (a deep deep deep red - almost black - wood laquered finish)! We hooked it up next to the line arrays and this little sucker wangs HARD! On normal music it kept up with the line arrays just fine - ample bass all the way around, fairly tight...actually pretty darned tight for an out-of-the-box PR setup. The extension on this little bugger is impressive! It did just fine with an 85 Hz c…
