Well it looks like the SI 15" is going to have some competition from the 16" OV2 as it finally came out. I guess we'll see which is supreme. Some of the comments from mags for the ED line: "the embodiment of what a great subwoofer should be" "the real deal" "defines how low frequency should be reproduced"

Sorry, but i dont know the terminology for it but it the big ol rubber ring, and it has very small scratches on it, and it is thinner in this one spot. It still has plenty of rubber, and there is no hole yet, but i am afraid it may rip when i play it loud. I dont know how it got like this, but it have happened when i moved. So should i replace now it or what until it completly rips to replace it, also which one would you recomend, and how would i install it. I have a Fi Q12, and a memphis 16-PRD 1000.1, all in a 2.25^3 cuft custom box ported to 32 hz.

I'm thinking about sending my blown 12" Adire Brahma MKIII to Scott over at Fi to get it reconed. Finding info on the MKIIIs is difficult. In fact, before Adire shut down, they had the MKIV in their current line up, and had a link to discontinued models. In that link, there's the Brahma MKI and MKII but nowhere was a MKIII mentioned. Anyway, according to my research, the MKI and MKII is rated at 1,600 Watts RMS, and the MKIII and MKIV is rated at 600 Watts RMS. I can't find anything explaining why there's a 1,000 Watt difference between the MKII and MKIIIs but I don't have a problem with that. I've also read that the a Brahma (I'm guessing MKI/II) can reach full excu…

i was told today that DLS stuff really went downhill the last few years. way back when, they had the support of Morel makin thier speaks, and genesis makin the amps. when DLS decided to cut costs a little, they went to china and showed them chinos the design of thier stuff, and the chinese copied it. When Morel and Genesis heard what was goin on, them 2 companies cut thier production for DLS. so like 02-03 on, DLS's equipment isnt really as good quality. Is this true?

http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cf...tnumber=264-838 They also come in a 6x9 version. I'm thinkin 2 or 4 in a ported box. Tuned low... might do it for home setup, or see if I could have a smaller box designed for my buddys jeep and use those, so he could put his back seat in and drag around his friends.

Are they a good pair for eachother? SEAS Prestige CA22RNX (H1288) 8" Coated Paper Cone's are said to play 30hz-3000hz the ddt tweets say 2000hz-22000hz

Does anyone know of a thiele-small parameter database or where I could go to get this info for a slightly older sub? In this case I have an original RE Audio SE 12 d2 that I am trying to build a box for but I cant find the needed info. I called the company and the lady said they don't have the info since they were discontinued. P.S. there have been two versions released since the one I have. Any help would be great.

So currently I have my six sa-10's wired up to a saz-3500d @ 1.33ohms and I'm hoping to get more out of this setup. I have a second saz-3500d coming tomorrow. I'm thinking I'll bridge the two amps after upgrading my electrical (acouple d3100's). I'm curious if you guys think this approach is sane or if you think the subs are going to smoke from the extra juice. I realize this is most likely one of those near impossible to answer questions that gets asked here all too often. Also, subs are turned to 32hz with 1.3cf each. Thanks.

I am new to the forum. I am looking at the 12"Magnum. Currently I have a PG t1200.1 and a t500.2 for my front stage. I am considering downgrading to a second 500.2. Would the Magnum do well with only 500 or so watts? Or should I just keep the big amp. I don't really need tons of output, just loud good sounding music. Also, what would the best cu ft be for a box for a single 12" Magnum? I have done some searching but didn't really find an exact answer. Anyway, any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

I'm leaning toward a Zcon 18. But , I have a few questions. First, would the z work in a fiberglass enclosure? I would like it to be an aesthetically pleasing enclosure as well as perform. Just want to make sure that beast won't destroy my box. Second, I listen to everything and was wondering if the z will keep up with all my music choices? Not really chasing numbers but, wouldn't mind doing well if I chose to enter a comp. It's going in a 91 dodge ramcharger. Will be powered by 2 planet audio ac5000.1d's ( 1600W rms each) strapped.

It's been awhile since I've been here working 60+ hours aweek. First off, I love my clarIon SSW1200 and have been very pleased with it. I'm looking at lowering the overall wattage in my stereo. I'm looking at the SSA subs. My retirements: SQ Want some good output, SPL. And HAS to fit in a 1.45 cf ported box that is tuned to 37Hz. I simply don't have the room for a bigger box. Let me know please, what's good for 400 wrms AND 1000 wrms both at 4 ohms.

http://cartoys.com/default.cfm/t/Car_Audio...rs/o/Subwoofers Well, as you all might but probably wont know, I have to go to cartoys to get a decent setup. Im getting 4'' in the front, 5 1'4 in the rear, and I want a sub. Now, I want to get all in one thing, so I dont have to bother to upgrade for a while. Hypothedicly, saying I were too, what do you think I should get. I have a rear deck, and in that deck I have a med kit. I can take that out and get a rear deck cover, so thats like a vent for the sound. So eitehr I sink an 8'' in the deck, or I open it up, and get something in the trunk. Odds are good I will go with the trunk idea, then gettin on in the back deck. So, su…

Just trying to see how you guys think 3 10"xcons would do in a 4th order that is 2.2 sealed and 4.5 ported before displacements. I know a lot of thing matter but The reason I'm asking is because that's the box I have my 15" zcon in . Its ported though the rear deck with removable port ( could make any tuning that would be good for the xcons) but not really wanting to do a new box right now cause its built in the car and I'm wanting to get louder. Loudest so far has been 145.6 and cant seem to get louder. .... would be at least doing rms. I have ho alt. 2 runs of 0 .close to 300ah of batts. lots of deadener .. let me know any questions you may have. Thanks

Right now I have 2 dcon 12s in a sealed box. 1.25 cubes each and they sound ok, but to me they lack the output I like. My girlfriend likes them, so I'm going to give the the box to her when she get's her vehicle which is soon. I orginally intended on putting them in a ported box, 4 cubes tuned to 33hz and even had the box built, but it didn't fit and yes I'm kicking myself in the ass for my miscalculation but it's a beautiful box made by Trev of Pound That Sound and I know it'll eventually sell. I'm strongly considering a pair of 10s in a nice ported box. I have a RF T500-1bd to power a pair. I have never tried a pair of 10s before. I'm pretty sure 3 10s is louder …
