So why is this forum host of two different brands did the creator of one company buy out the other one or something? The subs look almost the same.

  2. Sup everybody, I have a question here, has any body used the 12" Pioneer TS-SW124D shallow sub? Mounting depth is only 3 1/4" and they run 350 watts nominally / 1400 watts peak. $200.00 Suggested price. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/prod...7969819,00.html What about the Pioneer TS-SW1041D 10" shallow sub, it has a mounting depth of 2 7/8", and these run 350 watts continous / 1000 watts peak. $180.00 Suggested price. http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/prod...7969808,00.html I'm also curious with the Earthquake SWS-10 (2 11/16" mounting depth, 400 watt peak, $299), SWS-12 (3" mounting depth, 600 watts peak, $399), and the SWS-15 (3 1/4" mounting depth, 800 wa…

I'm looking at putting two digital design 8's (500 or 600 series) under my back seat. My truck is a 2004 chevy ext. cab. I was told by the customer service guy at digital designs, that 8's would be better due to air space. Does anyone have a similar setup in a 2002-2006 chevy/gmc ext cab? I listened to one guys truck that had one 8 under the center console of an F-250 crew cab, it sounded good to me. I'm not looking to be heard a block away, but want something nice. Also, I was quoted $200-$225 for a custom built box at an audio store (in OKC) to hold the two 8's. Does this seem reasonable? Has anyone had any dealings with digital designs, if so how did you like i…

  5. What's up guys I'm trying to look for some good looking 10's don't want to spend a whole lot but they have to be somewhat decent. Something along the lines of arc audios foose edition subwoofers in terms of looks. Gold, white, silver, gun metal are the colors I've been looking for. Help a brother out thanks!

  6. just got Rockford Fosgate P1-1X12 its a ported enclosure made by the manufacturer, so i assume its decent enough of a port design for the subwoofer. i know ported makes it so its more difficult to hit fast notes. but i feel it really muddles the notes together and very little separation on fast bass notes. any way to improve this? i believe the gain is set to around 75% and the low pass filter is around 100 hz. the subwoofer is rated at 250 RMS. my amp is bridged and is rated at 300 RMS for the bridge. and the subwoofer is rated at 25-250 hz. would it be better to raise the hz on the low pass filter to around 150 or 200? or should 100 be fine? …

hi, im new to this site. it looks like there are some pretty smart people on here. i am looking for some unbiased advice. so here's my question, i have decided to go with one 12", but i can't decide which sub to go with, the Assassin 12 or the 13Kv.2. any suggestions? i can still get the Assassin for $75 while it is on sale or i can get the 13Kv.2 for $95 by going thru ICIX, there is a deal going on there. i plan on keeping the box sealed for now, about 1 ft^3. i have 400 watts to give it. is the Assassin single voice coil or dual voice coil?? wanting some kick you in the nuts low end (for the amount of power i have), i want it to hit every note in a metallica song and i …

Hi there. My son is contemplating an upgrade to his sub. He has just one 8 and was wanting 2 SA8s. Then we talked to woofersetc and they suggested 2 SA10s. He has a trailblazer so enough room. Hi is running a Cadence ZRSC9 running 2 channel to the fronts and other two channels bridged to his current sub. He is just looking for more bass, doesn't really want to build a box. Input appreciated. SuperDaveTX

I managed to get my hands on 4 old school Rockford Fosgate 12" Punch Z's yesterday in about a 4ft^3 sealed box for 30$ and a pre-fab sealed box for 2 15's... Just for kicks and giggles, I put this setup in the trunk of my Grand Am hooked to a 1000w memphis amp. Drove up the street playing "I'm Raw" by Lil Wayne, turned the bass knob up, and just about S*** myself. I was absolutely blown away by the performance of these things! They don't look like they could blow the dust off of the dustcap.. but looks obviously aren't everything. For 30$, I'd say I've found myself a great temporary daily setup until I order my Z15. I'll record a video saturday while I'm off work to show …

  14. Okay, so I'm wanting to build a box into my worthless backseat area in my mustang and reverse mount a 18 which should look sweet as hell. I'm not walling it into the trunk though, I dont /think/ anyway, it will depend on if I can fit it or not. The point is 1: to keep my trunk space open and 2: to avoid firing in the trunk at all to avoid all the nasty trunk rattles. 3: to look badddass. Here is a picture to get the idea, a mix of both is what I'm going for. Question is, does anyone have experience with mustang cabin responses, etc that can recommend me away or towards a specific sub? I'm going to have about 2500~ RMS to a single 18. I was thinking a ZCON initially, as …

Ok guys, I've been on here before and wasn't very helpful. Earned myself a - 70 something rep. Let's change all that and start fresh. I'm gonna do a big ass build in a 02 f250 ext cab. I'm not completely new to car audio but I'm far from pro. Ok, so my goals is to get very very low. I'm looking to do hair tricks and what not. I don't want it to be a one note wonder. I want to be able to play normal music. Meaning not bass boosted or anything but i need to be able to clearly hear the words. Willing to do custom doors and boxes and all that. Gear i can reuse is as follows. Soundqubed comp set,Sundown 50.4, Crescendo bc5500 and a pioneer 80prs. Really what advice …

ok I'm planning my next system right now. (last one got stolen) I'm thinkin 2 RE SR10's ported going under the back seat of my '02 Ext. cab silverado. Realizing there is almost no room back there I figure the best plan would be to build two different enclosures for each side. Doing so would give me about 0.88 ft.^3 per sub after sub displacement. But to make these vented I'm thinking could make external ports over the transmission hump. Does this seem like a bad idea?

Okay first off how much does the 12" weigh? It is going into a sportscar so the individual is trying to minimize the weight. Is the SI 12" able to perform well with 600rms? Does anyone know the weight of the OV2, kv2, SX, lethal injection subs? If this is a really heavy sub does anyone know a company that makes light subs that have great sq 1st and get loud? How does this sub compare SQ wise with the ov2 (since it's not out yet lets say the kv2 ED audio), Incriminator audio lethal injection, SX RE audio? We also want to mimize the space taken in the car so we plan on using a small sealed box.

  22. The title was supposed to say "I got specifics", but apparently that was too long, LOL. I know these are always awful, but I swear I've done my reading/searching and I'm not just saying "OMG U GUYS I WANNA SUB 2 POUND". I am, however, criminally indecisive so I might need a boost here. I drive a 2010 Honda Fit. If you've seen one, you know there ain't a lot of space back there. I have a 12" JL w3 in a PWK designed box (built it myself, woo) and a 2.2cu ported box takes up this much space: So space is kind of a premium here. There's maybe an extra inch of depth I have but that's it, so nothing that'd need a big box (which is why I'm sticking with a 12, I'd need to strangl…

Hey Everyone, I am switching from my 15 BL to either 12's or 10's. I love the 15's but I sold one to a friend and am trying to sell another one that I never even used NIB. Anyway, I was thinking of doing 2 or 3 12's or maybe even 4 10's. I just have not really made up my mind yet. I have not had either and I was wondering which you guys prefer. If you were going to make a system and had either choice what would you choose and why. Also what brand would you go with, I'm looking for good loud subs that stay tight and keep there quality. For now they will be on a SAE-1200 but I plan on moving to a 2000 in the future when I upgrade my electrical further. Basically just …
