Yep, splurged on the Civic. Any type of volume that allowed you to hear over the road noise was polluted by the slap of a limp dick suspension, so while at the world with me madre today I happened to walk through the audio section and saw some 5 1/4" drivers for somethin like $5.99. I had some radioshack 4" drivers a while back and they actually sounded somewhat decent, so I figured the same would hold true for these, at least somewhat. It didn't really... At least now in the mornings on the way to school, I can listen to the talk shows. I guess.

  2. What tweeters to match MBQuart RSD-216 woofer? I'm tired of the ear bleeding sound of the titanium tweeter that I have. What tweeter should I replace it with?

  3. How does the RSD-216 woofer compare to others? Should I upgrade it or stick with it? I was happy with the sound it had when I had them installed in my accord. Money is an issue.

  4. I'm doing some planning in here...hopefully in a month or so I can pickup one of the new Eclipse head units and some speakers. The only thing I've dealt with before is a set of MBQuart speakers(RSD-216 RKC-116) and an MTX amp. I don't want to take up ANY room in my trunk as nearly 1/2 will be gone with my sub. So that means no more amps at all period. Unless you guys can tell me that I could mount it under my seat or something but even then I dunno as it does cost more money. So, what speakers should I look at that can be powered and sound good off of an Eclipse head unit? I don't know many 'good' names besides what I've seen in stores. Edit: Some vitals: I need 5 1/…

  8. Just when I think I found a sub...people throw new subs in my face. I'm considering the Mag D2, RL-P, and A/D/S 312rs/4. I know they're all great subs. But which would be best for me? This is what I posted in my Newbie Sign IN thread: I listen to metal, rap, hard rock, alternative, trance(mostly progressive), r&b. SQ matters a lot to me...but I'm a basshead and want to be able to feel the bass pounding in my lungs when I want. Whenever I look at a sub I make sure it can hit atleast 20Hz if not 16 Hz. But it looks like I will have to compromise in car audio as those subs usually need a much bigger box than the 2 cu ft that I want to limit my box to. So I would like …

this was a hard decision but i found 2 12" 2nd gen mags for 370 shipped, it was either these or the new d2, i was wondering do these also perform well in sealed apps or ported apps, also what would be a good amp to push them, my 2500d took a crap on me and is a goner.

well I wasn't having any luck with WinISD. So I'm asking the experts. I have a Scion tC and need to have as much trunk as possible. I know sealed is most always smaller than ported boxes....but aren't as loud but have better SQ generally. I want the sub to be hit 30Hz at -3dB. I play a lot of rap, metal, and trance and I want it all to be able to sound good. What size sealed box and what size & tuning ported box should I get to fit my needs?

  23. Well...I've never heard the SI Mag D2...but from what I read it sounds amazing. Help me imagine it. Compare the sub to an IDMAX or SoudSplinter rl-p or Alpine Type R or 12W7. Thanks in advance...I look forward to the replies as I am a bit excited by what you may say about it.

Yep. Topic says it all. I've basically just ran all the wires and installed the head unit (25'th anniversary Alpine). The Tara Labs RCA's are the absolute $hit. Ask Hoss, he was here today. Anyway, on with the pics. The pics may not show up in order (it sorts them alphabetically I think) but you can get the idea.

I just wanted to take a sec to thank Nick and everyone else accociated with Stereo Integrity. You guys make a great product for an excellent price. I have installed the mag in a temporary install. After breaking it in lastnight it was put into a 1.7cu.ft. sealed enclosure(before sub displacement). I am running a memphis 1000d to it. Going from 2 subs to one I will admit I lost some output, BUT, and I mean but, what I lost in output I drastically gained in low end extention and accuracy. Which is fine to me. I have ear problems anyways. Now in total I have about 1 hour listening time on it due to and unexpected amp problem (for some reason the amp goes into thermal p…
