hey im gettin a level 5 18" and im going to b putting 4000 watts to it does anyone know how big of a box i should use to get max power out of the sub

well i will be building these as soon as i find some coils that will do the job. after some consulting i have been informed the coils i was going to use won't be optimum with these motors. but here are some pics of what i have as of now.

ok im going to to get two 13"w1v2 subs and i was wondering what would be a good amp to make the subs be as loud as possible i want it to be super loud and what are some good door speakers?

So here is the deal. I am on my way to the goal of $900 for the zcon's. Got $650 now. Yay. Question is what ohms should I get? 2 or 1? I have a saz2500z, and I'm using the same box I have now. 4.75^3 @33hz I think. Have to double check. Have a mechman 270 alt, big 3 in 0 gauge, and am gettin a battery as soon as I get the subs. Goal is to be "loud and proud". Lol. That's what my dear friend use to say before he passed. I wanna hit like no one else has around here. That's the ultimate goal!

How will a Q do in an IB setup? I will be upgrading to 15's most likely, should I stick with the Q's or would something else perform better for all out SQ? Price is not a huge issue.

Can a 150WRMS output from the AMP is enough to boost a 175WRMS Sub?.. Will it sound good?... what would you recommend if that is the scenario to improved performance of the sub or the amp considering that's gonna be the setup?.. thanks

If you would to throw in another amp suggestion feel free just those 125.2's are only $157 on db-r and i'm probably going to order one

hey guys! I have your typical question for sub comparions again. Im looking at comparing the DC Lab LVL 4 15" subwoofer vs. 18" BL Here are the specs: I have a maximum of 5.5ish cu. ft possible for the subs. I'd run the BL in 5.5 cu ft and the LVL 4 in around 4ish maybe tune them to around...35Hz or so. I have a JBL BP1200.1 to power them. So around...1100 to 1200 watts per sub. The BL would be Fully loaded for daily driving. what do you guys think would perform better in comparison to SPL ouputs? Im thinking the SQ will be around the same maybe? lemme know if you guys have any ideas! I know the sub comparisons are always hard because of all the variables

Alright, so somebody in my class is looking for a subwoofer for his 1500 reg. cab. He will most likely need a shallow mount subwoofer im thinking, but i havent been able to find a build log of a regular cab so i can get some ideas for where the box is placed ect. Im not really knowledgeable on shallow mount subwoofers so id think id ask you guys. He was looking for about a 12" or 15" sub. If you need more information just ask.

Going to build a small sealed box with a 12" sub powered with my Sundown SAE1200. More for sound quality than spl. Been looking at these two. SSA DCON 12 and Sundown SA-12. Will the DCON hold up when driven with 600w ? I think it's rated for 300. Anyone have experiance with either of these? It looks like the Icon 12 would be a better match for this amp, but it is priced a bit higher. Let me know your opinion.

I'm looking for replacements for the Tang Bands (see sig)....recently blew one The TBs were decent but I would like to upgrade a little. Prefer a smooth laid back sound..definitely do not like overly bright spitty sounding tweets. Setup is active with alot of tuning ability. I have read alot of good things about Seas Neos and Rainbows (can't remember model). Would either of these be a good match with my DLS mids? Also please list a source if you can. Thanks.

is the only difference between components with a tweeter in the middle of them and components with a seperate woofer and tweeter the positioning or does the seperate woofer provide better quality. I would also like to know what company has good components for around $150. any input is appreciated.

What 15" sub would be a good daily sub but can also be loud in spl with 1500 watts?

Need to build a new box for my suv. Im running two RF t212d4 on two rf t1500bdcp. I want to go subs up port back now that im not in a trunk car. Does anyone have experience with what box size/tuning/port area these subs excel in? Right now they are in 2 cube box tuned to 35 and do ok, but im sure they have way more in them. I installed 2 MB QUART 6" speakers 6 months ago in my front doors. I rescently heard a cracking noise coming from one of the front speakers in my integra (Left Door). When I removed the door panel the speaker stopped playing but if I apply a little pressure to the cone with my finger it starts plaing once more. Is it possible that the coils are faulty or is it something else.

So there's way too many new products coming out and I don't know what I want to try. I want a good clean sounding system, but I'm a bit of a bass head and do like to crank the bass. I have a Q12 sealed in my other car and like the sound and how low it goes, but I want to look at other things. I drive a Magnum and could get two 15's or something big no problem, but other than lots of bass my goal is to stay low profile so I still have cargo room AND i'd like to keep the spare. So I'm thinking either in floor low profile or something that only comes slightly out of the floor. Some of my ideas have been 4 of the sundown 8's, 4 of the sd1v2's, or wait for the new SI BM's and …
