Subwoofers / Speakers

Well I have my sub and everything with that taken care of and now im to the door speakers. i want a set of 2 way components but am kind of in the dark as to what to get and what to power them with. Im a just outa HS so i dont have alota money but i can always come up with it. I guess in the end is what can i get thats ganna give me the best bang for my buck?

Do the 3" Legatia mids have grilles available? I need to find something to fill these holes left by the 3.5" DLS Ultimate Iridiums the previous owner had and these seem to be one of the only good fits

i was wonderin if i should get the diamond audio speakers or the type r's. any recommendations? i wont be usin a amp right away but ill get one like a month after i get the speakers. an i listen to rap.

I really am interested in buying some maw15's but I would need them to be dual 2's or single 4 ohm. Would this be a possibility?

hey everybody I came across a great deal on 2 Cerwin Vega Stroker Pros 15s and was wondering if they're any good? I was looking at the specs for a box and seems to be significantly smaller than the size of the BTL...anybody have any input?? thanks, Andrew

I just got back into the car audio world, I'm doing a new build and I'd like to have some advice on these subs I'm looking at. I want to get either 15s or a single 18, the brands I've been looking at is the ssa ZCONs, PSI platform 3s or Fi BTLs, I'm running whatever I choose of a crescendo 5500. So can I please get some input

Hey guys first time post, but def. not new to the car audio thing. This is the first time I have used FI products and I was wondering if it is normal to smell just a little coil when the sub in new (mine has only like 1 week of use on it). Im pushing it with a Elemental Designs Nine.1 its underrated at 1200wrms @ 12.5 vdc no clipped signal I checked with the o scope at college im gettin a good clean 7.3 volts from the preouts. I want to push about 1500wrms to it but im gun shy with the coil thing...can she take more or should I just get one more to feed my 30htz @ 140db addiction??

I can't seem to find another place to buy a Cerwin Vega Vmax 12.2 anywhere but a local shop and from sonicelectronix. Anyone know of where i could pick one up for a decent price? Sonicelectronix wants $189, plus $31 in shipping fees. I am looking for the newest model, which is this one if anyone knows where to get one it would be appreciated. Thanks!

Does anyone know the mounting depth on the IXL10?

at the moment i have 2 orion xtr pro 12s in 2001 chevy 1500 Z71 in a front-fire truck box with only a 800 watt amp running both. it was my first car audio system. i am selling my subs and amp to my cousin and now i want to upgrade my system. ive been looking at Fi and just wonder what you guys think about putting 2 Fi Q 12s in that box (its sealed). ive never actually head Fi in person but from what ive read on here they seem really good . i know one will probably be enough but the box is designed for two subs so im gonna put two back in it. also what may be a better choice for the amp as well? thanks, dave

(TSW3002d4). I just came across the Sundown Audio x-12 and watched a few youtube videos. These things look like they will silence my pioneers. I want to know if anyone has seen them in person and what they think about them. The amp I currently have is Hifonics Zrx3000.1d

Right now i am looking around at different subs for the new set-up. I have never owned nor heard any tc sounds based subs. found the axis's , but have limited knowledge about them. I'm looking at the 12" version. How good are they compared to others in their price range( approx. 300.00 shipped). Any drawbacks, etc. I have 1 SAZ-1500 and am getting a 2nd for power. As far as what I''m looking for is loud daily that sounds great. Tried a search on the forum here and get an IPS error. Just waying options right now. And thanks in advance. Toolmaker

i need some help im planning on buying a 18 fi bl sub in the next couple days and im going to run it off a hifonics 1606d and i was wondering if i should go with a dual 1 ohm or dual 2 ohm?......

So Im going to rebuild my wall, and im going to do 4 15s this time. I have 2 Fi Q 15s right now. But I can sell them and get SSA subs. The amp I will be running is a DD m3a clamped. So my question is should I stick with Fi and get 2 more Qs or should I sell them off and get 4 SSA Icons? just post your thoughts and opinions, the box will have a removeable port and be about 16 cubes before port and im guessing 14-15 after the port is in. AQ recommends what seems to be a pretty high tuning of 38hz. does anybody with these subs tell me if they can still dig pretty deep notes (i listen mostly to rap, but i also watch DVD's in my car) thanks

I've decided to do a wall in my Blazer for 2 FI BTL 18's. They will be powered by a Concept 2410 on each. My question is for those experienced with walls. Is there a loss of deep bass by porting toward the front vs. toward the back hatch? I'm really just wanting to know what will happen as I have never tried a wall before. I'm sure that there will be an increase in air movement inside the vehicle. Thanks for your help. Kevin

Hey just want some guidance and suggestions. I have type-r's which I'm really starting to get sick of. The 6.5 is in stock location and tweeter is flush mounted in the door. All I really want to do is replace it, and not change the locations. I want component set with a passive crossover which has good sound quality. My price range is around $400. But give me some suggestions in the 300-200 price range as well. I know anything will sound better then these Alpines. I need the new tweeter to fit into the hole which is there for the type-r tweeter. i have 2 SA-8s in a 1.2cu ft enclosure tuned to 35hz. the guy that built me the box did really good work but the only thing he did i didnt like was only put one terminal on the box and i was thinking of inverting the subs so i could wire the subs better. any cons to inverting these subs in a box with these specs? thanks.
