i need some new tweets for my RE 6.5 comps. theyre just not loud enough. i had some polk db tweets, and i really liked them, but they're long gone now. since i don't know alot about tweets i'm basing my search off of the polks sensitivity rating of 94db @ 1w/m. that is how loud (more or less) it'll be right? here is a couple that i found on ebay. if you know of something else let me know..... p.s. i only got about $25 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5786730772&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5785599027&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5785363901&rd=1 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5786702185&rd…

Can a 150WRMS output from the AMP is enough to boost a 175WRMS Sub?.. Will it sound good?... what would you recommend if that is the scenario to improved performance of the sub or the amp considering that's gonna be the setup?.. thanks

Does the CDT Eurosport 07 component set live up to the hype. The retail on the 3-way component set is crazy. I'm debating getting me a set of these or if I should stick to Sea's Reference, Dynaudio, or Focal. I'm looking for a serious front stage (3-way fully active) and wonder how these CDT's Euro's compare the the above mentioned. I listen to jazz, blues, rock, and rap. I currently run a set of Boston Pro 6.5's and I think they sound very nice so how will these CDT's rank up? Thanks for all opinions.

Stuck between the two. I like the e12a.22 option because of the displacement/$ value - it's adding another driver at under $200 vs. spending the $400+ for a new LMT. Leaves me with cash left over. But if there's something really special about the new SS offering that dual underhung drivers with 50+mm of Xmax combined can't touch...I'll fork over the cash. Just interested in your opinions. Supa, I know what you're going to say Figured I'd post on here because it'll stay up longer and I'll get more intelligent responses.

how are these subwoofers in terms of SQ/SPL i know that focal is more of a SQ speaker rather than SPL but i was wondering how 2 of these would sound with about 500 watts running to each sub. Also, what kind of box would you put these in? Ported or Sealed One more thing, what kind of amp would you run to power these I was looking at the PG Xenon 1200.1, or the RE 12.1, if you have any other reccomendations let me know Thanks in advance!

  12. Okay the title says it all. This summer i'm going to put my RL-P in a fiberglass box (my first one, and yes I'm doing lots of research now). My question has to do with the compostion of the box. I've heard that nearly all fiberglass boxes contian quite a bit of wood (the glass is usually just for an ascetic front) and I've heard that 100% fiberglass (minus the mounting ring) usually sound really bad or "hollow". With that said, do you agree (considering the glass will he hella stiff, I'm going to overkill this thing). If including wood does make it sound better, do you have any rough estimates on percentage. Could I get away with glassing in and exposing a few sections of…

I wanted a 15" D2 so bad back in the day when SI got robbed Now I just realize they now produce them, which makes me very sad. Why? I recently ordered a 15" XXX and it should be here very SOON. Now the question is, do I use it for a while then sell it and get a D2, or sell it brand new un-opened? Either way I lose money

  17. I have a Diamond TDX 15" , in a 2.65 cu ft. box, GROSS, so it's probly right near 2.25 after all dispacement. It's ran off a Memphis 1000D . Ported with 2, 3" round ports 14-1/2" long each. According to the Diamond Tech line this is at 34 hz. and it slams pretty good. BUT , it' still lacking to me! This is in an 04' Pontiac Grand Am trunk, there is more space but I need it for the kids things and my wifes. Also access to the spare tire for road trips etc. So I want to either switch to 2-10" Quality subs or 2-12" quality subs that will give the same SQ. but more output ! It does real good but is a little bit lacking in the bottom end (because of port size) . I couldn't g…

yep, got it today... and already have it installed... it's in 2.5ft^3 tuned to ~34hz with 25in^2 of port and currently recieving 1200wrms @ 4ohm from my orion. no review yet as i haven't done any real listening sessions..but for those who are wanting to compete with it... it'll take at least 2500wrms. it won't like it for daily, but for burps..it did fine. ok...tomorrow night or thrusday night, a full review. pics follow... a shiny ass installed in one of my old treo ss's enclosures..specs above wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Recently got my D7506 in. Pics are in the amp section if you want to peep them out. This is my question. I'm going top end for my system. I want this to be my last system for a while. I have been into car audio for 15 years and have had some pretty serious installs. I never competed in a competition. My goal this year is to take home at least 1 big ass trophy for a SQ system. I started off with this chit, Audiocontrol MVC, Audiocontrol 6XS (which I may not need with the Diamond - hence 3 seperate fully active butterworth x-over's on the D7506 alone) (2) Audiocontrol EQT's, the D7506, and the D7402. Sub will come later on. This is my question: I currently run a s…

I remember reading that you can wire each voice coil of a sub to seperate channels of a two channel amp. Is there any advantage to this? Does an amp have an easier time running two channels at 2 Ohms than a bridged channel at 4Ohms? Would there be any sort of heat savings? Anything?

okay, i know a lot* of people are talking about Resonant Engineering nowadays and i could honestly say that i believe the praise that they get. however, i like being different and i always try to find that 'sleeper' brand. i wanted to know how these 2 subs compare. i'd like the most SPL possible without sacrificing much SQ. Hitting the lows hard is a must too. I plan on running 800watts one of these, ported. Anybody got experiences with both? Im kinna torn between these 2 subs and i need something to stand out from the other. any help is greatly appreciated. thankss

From my reasoning if you ran a dual 2ohm and dual 4 ohm subs in parallel of the same make and power handling it would give you a .75 load. Would there be something hindering me from dueing this as long as my amp can handle the load?
