why is there so many brands using the same frame...is there a place to buy just the frames

ive been lookin into buyin sum subs, and ive been lookin at a 15" Fi BL with a kicker zx1500.1 amp (maybe an 18") or i was also lookin at getting 2 12" kicker cvx with the kicker zx1500.1 im lookin to get loud with decent sound quallity which set up is better overall, and which will most likly get louder when put in the correct enclosure thanks

I see quite a few people on here running a one D2 12 set up in a sealed box and am curious if y'all (or anyone else) can shed some light on this. I'm considering going from my current 2 X e10O setup (800 watts in ~ 2 cu ft) sealed to a single D2 12 (~1200 watts in ~2 cu ft) sealed. I realize this is an SI forum but you guys seem pretty mature (well, at least in your advice ) so I'm hoping to get some relatively unbiased advice. I'm looking for noticeable gains in both my low end and that hard-to-breathe bass while maintaining a high level on SQ. Will I achieve this?

Does anyone know anything about these brands ? FOCAL 690-CV1 6x9's or the Mmats CX 69 ? will they be better than my Memphis Mseries 6x9's

Whats the differences and similar features of the Mach 5 IXL 15 and the SSA Icon 15? Which sub would work better for listening to rap, and for someone mainly looking for loudness not sq. Which Sundown amp would be best suited as well.

Well, a midst everything else that's going on around here, subwoofer enclosure, engine replacement, four wheeler repairs (minor), and WORK, the components in my wife's van have all but completely given up the ghost. I do have to say they hung in there for WAY longer than she, I or anyone else would have ever dreamed but everything wears out eventually. They've gotten to the point where they will cut out at high volumes for a short period of time then come back on and it's any combination of the drivers that do it. Just the one tweeter, or maybe both tweeters, or maybe both mids and the tweeters keep going, or sometimes it's a tweeter and a mid on one side or the other.…

I bought a 2 12" TC-3000 last year, the DVC version with lower BL. I went to a shop and got it installed, but now I want to try and redesign my system, by building a new box and possibly purchasing some new amps, but I don't know what the T/S parameters are[DVC's should be different than QVC], the wiring diagrams[ohm load] or power ratings. I've checked the old TC website, but they only provide information for the QVC version. I've also tried calling them, no luck.. Are there any tools I could use to figure this out or is there anyone that might have all this information.

im very interested in getting an LI 12'' in a sealed box but i dont know what amp would be a good match for it. i will be using as a daily driver im getting the knu 4 guage wire kit. budget around 200 there are tons of amps on ebay,just need help deciding. thanks

I just Ordered a pair Of Mach5 MAW-15's I hope they are as awesome as I have heard ppl say they are. All I need now is to save up and get the SAE-1000D. I'll be sure to post Build Logs as I get everything together. Cant Wait

Has anyone had them? I'm looking at a minor upgrade from a MAW12. I've got that ported 2ft box @28hz. This one's mint. I've got a 450w amp at 2ohm's and this PXW 1542 is a dual 4 but rated 600-1000w. I like the sound of the 15's, seems much deeper, not sure if it's be louder. I did have a Clarion Deck in the past and was disappointed.

Hey guys i have done some googling and looking around but i cant find a good enough answer to my question... Its it ok to invert subs when mounting them? The general feeling is due to the low frequencies it is ok but at what crossover level does the sub being inverted affect performance? im looking at buying two soundstream splx 12's to put in a wall with a t10001bd to each sub. so has anyone use these subs before? i used to have 2 soundstream t415's and i love them.

It was a local audio shop's competition that I heard about and entered at the last minute (I got metered at their last one with my previous setup: 2 RF HX2 subs on a 1001D Fosgate amp and I got a 146.0) This time around..... 159.9 outlaw on SPL170 mic (I think this is the right mic) Second overall, first in class Running one 15" D2 on a Hifonics 1500D in 3.2ft^3 @ 32Hz enclosure I was satisfied with my score and I think I suprised (and scared) some people

I'm wanting to build an enclosure for my 15" Ascendant Audio Arsenal. I haven't decided between ported or sealed yet, but I was looking for some suggestions on size for a sealed box or size/tuning for a ported box. About the only thing I've considered is I'd like it to be reasonably small as possible. I would also like tight, punchy, controlled bass as I mainly listen to rock. I sometimes listen to rap/hiphop/bass/techno (you know, the boomy music) every once in a while so I'd still like it to be able to hit. Can you give me a few recommendations on box size? Hi I am running two Zed audio Miniliths to one level 3 12 with the spl coils. I thought it would maybe be too much power but they take it very well. I have the sub woofer in a very small sealed box and it still hits very well and the frequencies are very pronounced. I would almost be willing to say it sound like 2 12s but it is not that loud. I want a sub that will play low as well as get loud I use to run a pair if 12" re se's that did a 144 legal on tl so I want new set up to beat that any ideas I. What to get? has anyone heard the ascendant audio havoc in a sealed enclosure? i am getting 2 aa havoc 15's (d2) in a sealed enclosure with roughly 2.4 ft^3 per sub after all displacements each will have it's own rf t1500-1bd they will be firing upwards in my subaru impreza outback sport (hatchback) rewound 160 amp alt and 3 xspower d5100 batts second skin on hatch, roof, and trunk floor i have already ordered them from defiant audio and the suspense is killing me coming up from 2 ported infinity reference 1252w's ( one has a cracked cone and sounds terrible) on a single t1500-1bd any guesses on what kinda tl scores i could get with these? i was hoping for at least 140 whil…

I am thinking about finishing up my system with a new sub setup. I have moved from the overpowering bass to appreciating all the ranges of music. Right now i have a 12" SSD copper coil sealed. It sounds great but am wondering what other choices I could get for greater SQ and that could get lower. Would stepping up to a 15" sealed Q or Icon dig lower and sound better? Playing with a 1000rms. I want the sub to compliment and add that lower depth. Mids are Sea Excel's with Sea tweeters.

What is the difference. Everybody is writing about it. I have a pair of Focal 165 vrs and a pair of 130cvx's in stock locations running with a sax 100.4 so what would be the difference between active and passive. I haven't gotten them installed yet but next week they will be so.

So - I have been askin about 6x9's because I thought I blew mine up - however - come to find out , one of the channels on the stereo actually went - somehow the rear left channel is messed up - I switched to my other deck , and everything sounds beautiful again ... thanks for your opinions everyone , greatly appreciated. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this ?
