i'm curious of the sq of the h2 15.2 i know it gets loud. i'm only puttion about 900 watts to it at the max right now and it makes my eyes shake. i'm yet to tweek with my gain or anything. nor have i tried it out with different types of music as i only put it on last week. i'm really curious as to if anyone has heard one of these and has heard a xxx or brahama or w7 in a ported enclosure and could compare them honestly

Well, I finally blew this little sucker. Tough to believe, but this little $15 dollar driver actually sounded good and performed rather well in a minute .33cubes. I was intrigued by the design so I decided to tear it apart. Have a look. Motor removed. Can you believe this tiny thing is the driving force??!! Coil. It's a little burnt, but not much. It appears as if the winding has broken, but I can't tell for sure. All done.

Whats up this is my first Post on SSAudio.com's forums. I have been lurking around for a little bit and am a regular poster on CA.com I just have a quick question... I just picked up a 12" Magnum D2 for a temporary system until the new mags come out (hopefully soon). I know the SI website says either 1.5 cubes @ 32 Hz, or 2.0 cubes @ 29 Hz. The 1.5 cubes seems kind of small but the 2.0 @ 29 Hz seems like too low of a tuning. I was wondering if I could do like 2.5 cubes @ 32Hz? What would you guys recommend? Thanks in advance!

I've had several of these drivers in several sizes and haved loved them all (only cuz I got them cheap ), but I have an opportunity to snag 3 of the 12W6s for virtually no money. Does anyone here still consider these to be worth any value? I have no real use for them yet, so it would be nothing more than a quick turn-around investment. With all the new drivers out there though, I'm wondering if it's even worthwhile. The 3 I'm getting are of the first gen, but they are all unused and still boxed. She is a 15" right now and since I have a coil gone on it anyway she will be rebasketed to a 10" as soon as DD has quad coils back in stock. What do you think? Will she make a sexy 10"?

I have a 12" D2 in a sealed prefab box that is about 1.35 cuft afetr displacement. I am running it off of a Memphis PR1000. The subs sounds good but I think it could sound better and get a little louder. Right now it gets a little too "boomy" for my tastes. Here are two box types that I have been considering, please help me decide. The first box is 2.0 to 2.3 cuft sealed. The second box is about 2.0 ported to about 27hz. I don't want to be too loud but I would like some good output form this speaker while still sounding very good. Could you give the the good and bad of each box and maybe compar them to each other. Oh yeah and it is going in a mustang if that helps. Thanks

I was comin home today and why Mag stopped hittin so I was like WTF. I went and took it out of my box and the Cone came detached from the Spider. So I guess I should contact SI now or does any1 else have any suggestions. Does SI have a phone number I can call? How much do you think it will cost to fix? I don't have a camera for a pic cause I bet that would help. Plz help me.

Anyone have a favorite 6" sub? JL 6w0, Adire Audio 6", Rockford 6"? Looking for something for the rear deck of the Saturn. toss some baffles in there so they aren't going free air.

Whats going on guys? Building a new box for my 2 12" L5's and i'm curious about the tuning i should go with. I will have a removable port in the center. The main port will be for SPL. What would be the optimal SPL tuning frequency for a Grand Prix? The box is in the trunk facing the back of the car. I was going to just go with 40hz, but thought i'd get some input from you guys. I have no idea what the resonant frequency of my car would be... maybe someone can venture a close guess. The port that will slide in is for SQ to change the tuning to around 29-30hz Thanks guys!

Well i got my two treo ssi 15's running off a us amp 2000. i previously had two powerbass xs 15's. i put them in my powerbass box, which was close enough to specs. i'm pretty impressed. with the treo's weighing in at what seems to be half the pbx's. they pack one hell of a punch. and i'm willing to say they are about 5 decibles louder. i'll get it tested this week to further persue my conclusion. great sound quality. and you can feel alot more air flow in my explorer. cheers. i'm now sellin my pbx's to a friend of mine.

ok. right now i currently have 2 12 inch PG xs series subs that hit pretty hard. but, i want MORE. in feb-march, im thinking im gonna re-do the sub part of my system, so im looking for suggestions as to what brands i should look at. i do want to compete, but, correct me if im wrong, but if you have 15 inchers your in a different class right? i would want to stick with eather 2 or 4 12's, or possibly 2 15's if i can get some killer LSQ/spl from them. these subs would be daily drivers, but not turned all the way up. thanks for all the replys!

Question 1) I might be purchasing a used Magnum and wanted information on its Power Handling. Does Stereo Integrity offer such information? Question 2) If I wire only one voice coil and terminate the second coil with a resistor (potentiometer) to vary the driver's Q in a sealed box, how much power can I send to one voice coil?

which do u think would be better SQ and SPL wise? both would be in 2 15's and have a Hifonics BX1800D amp on each. i just dont know if 2 15" RE XXX's would be better or if 2 15" Brahma's would be better...

I recently have started the search for a crazy spl set-up . Along the way I stumbled upon these subs called SoundSplinter . Always being one to give anything a look , I decided to investigate . I was plesantly suprised at what I found . What seems to be a quality sub at an even better price . So that is why I came here . I am thinking of going with either 2 or 4 15's . I will be powering them with a Directed 2400D . I am most interested in the RL-p 15's . Does anyone know if my 2400D would run 4 of these monsters . Here are my babies fr the end of the 04 to 05 season. They are a pair of dB Drive Platinum 10's that are dual 2 ohm. Should be well with about 2k of power of each one. They seemed great for the price and build quality looks decent. Having the box made as we speak. Will get to do some tests with a little power on my Linear X this Saturday (my MECA setup) and get some tests done at the Hurricane Relief show on Sunday (hopefully) with the Audio Control 190. Not going to put the Concepts to the subs yet because of my stock electrical system. I will update everyone when I get some numbers. Anyone have any experience with the dB Drive Platinum's?
