Well, finally finished. Excuse the crappy pics from my crappy camera. THe entire enclosure/rack will be pulled out in the winter to be painted body color with a little extra special touch as well. I'll start with the HU Simple ALpine CDA-7892. Cheap, sounds decent, and has all the processing this car needs for its owner. Next, Vifa PL 7" in the door and a Peerless tweet in the A-pillar. This guy is not worried about soundstage at all so these were pretty easy. Find a spot, slap em in and I'm done. Notice I wrapped the crappy stock grills with some cloth. i just recently finished the install for this sub (pics in show-off forum<------shameless plug :boink: ) and i gotta say...it is everything advertised and more!! BUILD QUALITY is excellent. looks like a lttle excess glue above the top spider around the former, but i can live with that. same 4 spoke cast basket as many subs including treo and memphis. this thing weighs in at 30 pds...8 pds heavier then one of my treo 15's! all things equal, easily comparable to the best subs out there MUSIC REPRODUCTION WOW, can this thing get low! using a bass mekanics cd, i played everything from test tones to sample tracks. this thing just reproduces adn doesn't quit! it also …

Ok, Here is an easy once. I am looking for a few good 10's that are dual 2 ohm that take will take some power (2500 watts piece) for burps. I had my heart set on the RE MT's since they were at a good price but after thinking about it I am not so sure I want 110 pounds in subs in my trunk. With the box that is roughly 150 pounds in my little Saturn trunk. Hmmm, there has to be something that can get me loud with a little less weight. Here is what I am looking at so far. Mind you these are just for burps, no daily driving with these bad boys. Oh yeah, this is for IASCA Stock 0-160 so it really does need to be 10's. i was wondering how big the port should be to tune your 4 cu ft recommended box for the D2 15 to 28hz and how long should the port be?

finally ported the 12" magnum 2 cubes to 30hz. im loving it, it gets nasty loud and sounds even better i think than sealed. I have it running off the viper d1200.1. Will there be more components produced? I so much want to get my hands on the 327`s. If you still can make these it`d be great to receive them along with a T-shirt And as i understand, a lot of SI products are ordered from UK lately. Seems the Audi A2 with the Baz-box has caught attention

Okay, well, I'm almost complete with the fiberglass enclosure for the MAG 15, but it's about 80% glass. I am having a little trouble with panel resonance. Now, this was just the first listening session and it was without any poly in the box. I'm wondering if polyfil will cure this or is there some other means I should look to? The actual interior has been sealed with rubberized undercoating, but it is not a very thick layer and hasn't seemed to do much other than completely seal it up just in case there were any small holes (which I know there's not because I'm just that good). Any help?

i just got my hands on 2-12s, they were at the shop in the back just sitting there... so im going to grab one and build a few boxs (sealed and ported) and see what happens.... ill have a little review on it, plus of other POWERBASS subs....(most likely all there subs)... i should be finished all the test and post reviews but the end of october.... jamie

I am more of an SQ guy, but now I have my D2's I am curious. My set-up is all about SQ, I don't really have the amps to spit out SPL figures, but to those that have or know of, what sort of SPL are we talking about with a set of either 12's or 15's,, I mean has anybody burnt a set yet while spanking them.. and how hard were they been spanked.. I love mine too much to chance it but it would be nice to know what has been done so far.. TIA

okay well this blows.......i put my amp and all in the truck hooked everything up PROPERLY and im playing it at a respectable level (50 out of 80) and all i hear is a loud pop, and a cloud of smoke rise from no where......i couldnt tell u if it was from my subs or not but it looked to be coming out of the port. i didnt smell anything bad BUT im looin at my subs and it seems as if two of the subs have a lot looser of a suspension than the other two......its really pissing me off cuz ALL I HAVE HAD IS PROBLEMS WITH THESE SUBS! let me know and yet its my bday.....go figure this stuff happens today

Okay DEI Viper 12's in a ported box. Is like .2 cu ft bigger than specs. suggest. Tuned to 28 htz. When in the Mountaineer I could put the bass to positive 3 and it slammed and sounded awsome. Now I have to have it at like -1 or 0, or else it sounds like ass. The box is now in a 1995 Dodge Intrepid in the backs seat. Reason it's not in the trunk is beacuse the trunk rattled like hell with the old subs and these murder my old ones so the trunk would be all I would hear. I want it to slam like it used to and sound good again. Got any ideas??? BTW Subs hit towards the roof and ports towards the front of the car. J

im lookin into 2 ES-15Dv.2 subs from them...getting a **** good deal too......will these hit nice....and are they as nice of subs as what everyone says? ....im only puttin 500 to each....but i want them louder than the 8's i had......which i will never purchase anything from that company or even send someone to them.

I see that the recommended enclosure is 2.0 ft^3 tuned to 29hz for the 12" D2. I want about 50/50 with sq and spl...so yeah, i want LSQ . What difference would a bigger box (about 3 or 4 cubes) make? What should I tune it to? I will be running 1000w to it @ 1ohm. This is my first car audio system so bare with me here . I appreciate your help guys! Thanks, -harrison
