here goes! I am just currently planning for my future audio set up. here is my current set up. I currently drive a 2005 Scion Xa. 160 amp H/O alternator. It has all knukonceptz speaker wire, rca's and distribution blocks. 0g big 3 upgrade and 0g power and ground wires. A Panasonic CQ-C7205U head unit. I run an Alpine PDX 100.4 for my infinity reference components in front and coaxials in the rear. 2 Elemental Designs 13Ov.2's dual 4 ohm subwoofers in a custom 2ft3 sealed enclosure. they are 600 watts rms each, and I have them wired to a 1ohm load. I have I don't know how many feet of edead v1se sound deadening in my car, from my firewall all the way to the back fenders…

I'm using a stealth enclosure that holds a single 10". Mounting depth is 8" and has .75 cu.ft air space and is sealed.I listen to all sorts of music, rock, rap,r&b,metal, etc. I have looked at the following subs...Alpine Type-R 1042D(sounded good),IDQ v.3 (haven't heard) and Re Audio SE-10 (haven't heard). That 's mostly where the problem lies,I don't have any dealers locally that I can actually listen to these subs. I already have a MB Quart Discus 500.1( 250W x 1 @ 4ohms, 500W x 1 @ 2 ohms) that I picked up a few weeks ago for cheap.Would like to keep it under 150.00. Thanks

Due to certain events in my life the build with the Chrysler 300 is getting put off, but I still want to have a little more bass in the bronco in the mean time. The only thing I have left to buy for the build in the 300 is two more pm1s, 1 more crescendo 3500, and the wardens. I had plans to sell the Sp4 18 I currently have, and buy one of the Warden 21s. So I bought one of the warden 21 yesterday, but I am having second thoughts considering the warden is more geared towards higher frequencies that what I am used to. Also due to the fact there are no specs posted, and no one really knows anything too helpful about the new wardens. I haven't sold the SP4 yet because there…

I need to find a negative push terminal... The original wearer of said broken terminal was a diamond d1, I am not worried about it matching, unless Scott, or when I call heather at TC sounds will only sell them in sets. I snapped the terminal right off of the basket, but they are more of a bolt through design than actually being part of the basket.

So I have read around a little and I have talked about it before, I need a mid-bass/woofer that can do 50hz-100hz/120hz just as loud and viscous as my 15" xcon can hit 30-50hz. I have run across the Aurasound NS10-513-4A 10" which seams like it may work, but I want more opinions. It can be of any wattage, it needs to be 10" or smaller I'd prefer a 8" but i'll do 10" if it is what it will take to hit those db's, and the enclosure whether it is ported or sealed needs to be less than 1 cu ft. I want great punch, I want to feel the drums in my chest, my old sub (kove armageddon) could hit these notes at around 135db and i miss the feeling of it.

Is there any easy way to get rid of small dips and valleys in the surface of a fiberglass box besides just gettin' at it with a sander? I just about have the whole thing covered with Bondo body filler and am working it over with my Mouse sander. I notice there are some small dips or valleys here and there (actually all over). If I try to get each individually, it will take a lot of time and I am concerned with the body filler hardening before I am done. Should I just mix each batch in very minute quantities? Is there an easier way that I am not noticing? Anyhow, back to the sander it is. 90 degrees outside and I am in a garage with no fan. Damn addiction.

I have 2 TC-1000 8" subs. 1 working fine. the other not responsive to power input. When pushed by hand, the cone still moves up and down. So just wondering if theres a build house somewhere that might be able to check it out and if possible fix or recone the sucker. any suggestions?

I came across this box and it says its only 3 cubic feet. This does not seem correct. The recommendation for the sub is anywhere from 2.8-4 cubic feet. box link http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218009774927 also...if i buy an amp like this...http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9027206&type=product&id=1218009770462 will i get good performance out of this sub because the brand name is like unheard of lol Thanks.

I have a Toyota Auris (it is the new Corolla hatchback) with a little trunk. Here is my setup : hu Pionner 88 prs, speakers : focal 165KP (fr) and Davis Acousticscvt130(rear)on a Boston GT42 amp. sub:Kicker s15L74 on a Jl audio A1800D amp. Secondskin deadening,...... My sub is in a 4 cu ft sealed enclosure; and I really like the powerful output, but not so much the quality. I want to save some space in the trunk; I need a sub that can play very well in a 2 to 3 cu ft enclosure. I found the SSA Icon 15 or the FI Q 15 on the web, and think they can be good for me. Do you think I will be satisfied with one one them? I listen to a lot of reggae , dancehall and rap :I like hea…

Hey guys, I have an '01 sonoma reg. cab. I'm looking for some opinions on what subs to run in it. I have roughly 1.67cf internal space to work with. I'm leaning toward a single 10 ported, but I'm open to suggestions. The sub(s) will be seeing around 1000-1200watts total. I'm more of a spl than sq guy so I'm thinking ported is the way to go. Also, I'm 6'-4" so leg room is nice to have. Anymore than one or two clicks and I'll be eating the dash. I've thought about a blow-thru, but I've had them before and really want to try and do this without cutting up my truck. Thanks in advance for your input. -Lee

I'm pretty much set on what I want to get. 2 Mach5 IXL 10's 1 Phoenix Gold RSD 1200.1 Ported Box tuned to 34 or 35 Hz Each sub will be getting 600 Watts rms. Is this a pretty good set-up for a good amount of SQ and loudness(Right now I have 2 12" Memphis in 2 supersmall wedge enclosures(Sealed) and 300 watts total) ? Another question about the box. Should I put both in same compartment or each in sperate compartments with their own ports.?

I have heard that the newer xxx's seem to perform well in small sealed boxes, but am looking for some one with experience. I'm really into low end and sq. I currently have a 4 cube box tuned to 36hz w/ 3 4" aero ports that is doing well, but the sq end is not all there. The vehicle is a 1999 toyota camry. thanks for any help!

Hey guys...thanks for joining me. As you can see, my name is An-i-no and I think I'm a subsono-holic.... LOL on a serious note I have 2 Sa-12's on a RF P500-2 (~350x2) in 1 cube sealed each. They sound effin awesome but they're well...quiet. I already made plans to get a bigger amp (between 1500 and 2000 depending on my monies) but I saw that Sundown was having a b-stock sale and I started thinkin... I want to go ported at 27hz. That's where my listening habits are. Slow ass rap songs that send shockwaves through your organs. My sealed box isn't having that, but duh, I knew that when I bought it. The sealed box does however...allow me to play super-extra low tones that a …

hope to get some inputs for the sub. it could be a 12" or 15". car to be designed on is a 96 accord. target is to be able to play loud but accurate. meaning it can play rap, techno/trans, soft/ballads, rock etc., still with good readings from termlab... possiblly dbdrag style yet as accurate sounding as possible. requirements: 1. box is no bigger that 3.5 cubes - so that spare tire would be accessible 2. box design can only be a wedge 2 enclosure type box - to maximize all space and still get the spare tire 3. sub would be placed facing the cabin, possibly on the back seat position for a single sub, but towards the trunk for a dual sub or all towards the trunk. depends on…

Well right now my mag is in a 4.0 cu ft box tuned to 28 hz. Its nice and clean and gets pretty loud but I want a lil more SPL out of it. I heard if I tuned up around 35 hz it would get a lot louder but my question is how much sq will I be losing? I really dont want to lose too much sq but want it a bit louder. What do you guys suggest?? And in what kind of enclosure did you get your best results?
