I was wondering if anyone had experience with the JL Audio Stealth Box or similar products. I am considering a stealth install in my 07 Tahoe, with this as the possible cornerstone of low frequencies. I am also considering Diamond d661s component with the silk vs the aluminum tweeter. I plan on using these in the factory locations 6.5 mids in the doors and tweeters in the A panels ie the factory locations. I was also considering USD 6.5 mid bass in the rear doors also in the factory location about 6 inches behind the front buckets. Amps (amp) are/is up in the air. I recently purchased a pioneer double din touch screen head unit for my system which works pretty damn good. I have type r coaxial speakers running my interior speakers strapped to a hifonics 400 watt amplifier. For the subs I am running 2 12 inch pioneer pro series subs strapped to an hifionics 2000 watt mono block amp. I am running straight auxiliary inputs from the back of the head unit because i simply use 2 amps. All of a sudden today everything put out nothing but static. I disconnected it because I could not find out what the issue was and this is the second time it has happened. It happened with my previous pioneer head unit which was a single din flip face …

Does anyone know if boston acoustic pro 60's are too deep to fit in kick panels in a large suv? What do you think about kick panels verses stock door speakers.

I came across this box and it says its only 3 cubic feet. This does not seem correct. Does the size of the box affect how well a subwoofer reproduces different frequencies? For example: if one sub's box is at the upper end of the manufacturer's recommended volume and another's box is at the lower end....both boxes tuned to the same frequency....how will they respond differently? will there even be an audible difference assuming the same power is being used? will the output differ? it may sound like a rudimentary question, but you won't know until you ask...thx

I will be running my new sundown 1200D that I got from the preorder The deepest sub I can go with is 6.5 so Im thinking Id get with 2 high powered 10s. But they will probably only get .75cu ft per sub What subs would you all recommend?

first up the btl recone old box 2 15's btl's the crappy single box i made out of the box above, lol on to the recone get that dustcap off first nice cover the hole and while i was at it got teh ca off the leads and pulled the old tensil out easier said than done.. resolder the new leads in and used some goop to cover them resolder back to the post and put the cap back on wt some gasket glue

I have 2 TC-1000 8" subs. 1 working fine. the other not responsive to power input. When pushed by hand, the cone still moves up and down. So just wondering if theres a build house somewhere that might be able to check it out and if possible fix or recone the sucker. any suggestions?

Is there a way to check how DVC sub is wired without taking it out of the box by using a dmm? I would assume to just check the + and - coming out of the box (theres only 2 terminals in the back). And see what the ohms read. Am i correct or no.

Hey all.Im wanting to get some new subs and im wondering which way to go.I know this has been asked thousands of time but im wondering should I get a Pair of 12" Xcons or a single 15" Zcon?I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant and the subs would go in my trunk.Im kinda wanting to go with the single 15" Zcon but I want to be as loud as I can get.The zcon would save me some cash but would it be as loud as the xcons?I have a planet audio bb2 2400watt RMS amp right now and I plan on getting a second and strapping them in the very near future.So with this in mind what would you guys recommend?Oh and how many cubic feet should a box for a single 15" zcon be?I seen what the xcon recom…

what would the suggestion be for 2 type r 12's on a sundown sae-1000d for LSQ? i have them in a 4.5 cube box tuned to 32hz and i dont like it at all. my box is subs and port up in a 05 impreza wagon. any ideas would be great.

ive been lookin into buyin sum subs, and ive been lookin at a 15" Fi BL with a kicker zx1500.1 amp (maybe an 18") or i was also lookin at getting 2 12" kicker cvx with the kicker zx1500.1 im lookin to get loud with decent sound quallity which set up is better overall, and which will most likly get louder when put in the correct enclosure thanks

Alright, the other day, just messing around with my subs(SWS-1023D's in a "folded horn" box), i decided to run one of them reversed with the other one regular. also in my adventures, i placed them in the far back of my trunk facing(subs and port) towards the cab. I was suprised when i cranked the music and heard not only an increase in SPl but also a better SQ . Now being the Noob that I am, im curious to why this resulted like it did. i tried searching other forums but failed to come up with any useful information. and if it is a simple explination, why wasnt it set up like this when i had installed? i know this isn't really the sight for marine audio, but i got sooooo much help from the forums here about car audio. i recently put a 18" fi btl sub in my jeep. I have a brand new mb sports wakeboarding boat, and the stock system it has is weak! i want to replace the stock speakers, head unit, and put tower speakers, and at least 1 12" sub in the boat. i don't know anything about marine audio though, i need to know good brands out there, install tips, and pretty much everything there is to know about installing boat systems. so if any of you know a thing or two, or could point me in the right direction, it would be AWESOME!!! thanks! Anyone know how tall the wall is in the bed? If I wanted to do a blow through with 6 15's (ICONs) is there enough height? I don't have a truck in front of me to measure, just wondering if you guys would know.

Right now I have an Icon 15 in 3.5 cubes tuned to 34hz being powered by a JBL GTO 1201.II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms and it sounds good. How would a FI BL 15 sound in my current box with my current power? I know they get louder than the Icons but do they sound good? If they have decent to good SQ I might want to swap in favor of more output, that's if my amp and box would even be good for the BL.

i am having someproblems finding a mounting position for my tweeters. If i made a box for them and mounted them on the floor but level with the bottom of seat will they sound bad? they will not be obstructed and they will have plenty of room to play. i am concerned with having a complete full sound. i want my music to blend well with my subs. they are oing in a lincoln towncar.
