I know the 302's are meant for off axis in door applications. Does this mean that the mid and tweet are BOTH aimed off axis? Just aiming straight across at each other, right? I just want to get this right. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, Jim

Hello, I have a pair of 302's coming soon from SI. I was wondering if anyone knows the dimensions on these things. Specifically the mounting flange overall diameter and the cutout diameter. Also cutout diameter for the tweets and mounting flange size (l x w) would help to. I am nearing the end of my trunk install and need to focus on some mounting rings for the mids and tweets. I want to be able to position, fleece and glass once they get here. Nick, Sundownz, K-mart I think you guys all have experience with these. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim

the 302's are one of the component sets im lookin at, just have a few questions. whats the mounting depth on them? and i think i remember reading somewhere that it said the 302's need custom kickpanels and such, is this true? or will they go into my stock kickpanels i have a 1990 bmw 325is so the stock locations are down in the kickpanels but they arent angled they are flush with the side. thanks, nick edit: where it says 302 i mean 307.

well i just got my first listen to a 15" SI-D2, and i must say that i am even more impressed than i was planning to be. i was expecting nothing less than spectacular, what i got was slightly beyond amazing. the box i was using is a 5 cube box tuned to 43 Hz. it is a CRX style box being used in a sedan with the woofer firing upwards and the ports venting to the rear of the trunk. i know that this set up is less than ideal, however it was what i had on hand, and i dont have the time to build an appropriate box for it right now. even with this minor set back though, i am still very pleased with the result. the SI D2 delivers very taught, punchy, intense, and chest poundi…

OK. I have narrowed it down to two different ways to design my amp rack. I want your opinions. Tell me which you think looks the best or which of the 2 you would do. If you have any other ideas let me know. I am open. These are my favorite so far. The sub is a 12" SI Magnum and the amps are a PG t1200.1 and a PG t500.2. There will be crossovers for a set of SI 302 components. So here ya go. Whataya think? A:

I got my 12" Magnum today. Such an amazing looking work of art. I am hoping to get my amp rack done and get it in the car this weekend. Then I just need to wait for my 302's and then I'm done. Who hoo. It starting to feel good. I am really excited about it now.

Just keep in mind that this is going in the cab of a Del Sol. The subwoofer enclosure will be fiberglassed of course directly behind the two seats. The enclosure will consume literally everything rearward of the seats. I might own a very powerful amp soon that will be able to anihilate the 15, let alone a 12, or even 8's. So now my options are totally open.

  14. does anyone out there by chance have a file made for WinISD pro alpha? for 15 inch magnum. i had it but lost in durring reformatting (yeah i used to be a computer nerd hehe) but now when i try to make one with the updated alpha pro it says stuff is missing and i need more specs. but on the bright side, it seems the updated pro alpha might be more accurate with magnums? i know lots of stuff looked really crummy on paper wth it in the old pro alpha, but modeling up a 12incher ported in there (yes i kept 12 inch files) it had a better F3 than the ported 15s from the old version.

Those of you that are running HO alts, what do you have and where did you get them? I will be coming into a little bit of money in about a week and think I might get one. I have a 99 Alero with 110 amps stock alt. I have a PG t1200.1 and a PG t500.2 to run. I want to be sure they get all the juice they deserve. Looking for suggestions. If anyone has Iraggi's email I would gladly take that as well. Thanks, Jim

Does anybody know if the 302's crossover can stand up to being mounted in the door? They will not be exposed to water or whatnot, but will they survive the opening and closing of the door on a daily basis? Just kinda had a thought about how to install them.

Is there any easy way to get rid of small dips and valleys in the surface of a fiberglass box besides just gettin' at it with a sander? I just about have the whole thing covered with Bondo body filler and am working it over with my Mouse sander. I notice there are some small dips or valleys here and there (actually all over). If I try to get each individually, it will take a lot of time and I am concerned with the body filler hardening before I am done. Should I just mix each batch in very minute quantities? Is there an easier way that I am not noticing? Anyhow, back to the sander it is. 90 degrees outside and I am in a garage with no fan. Damn addiction.

I've got 4 of the Morel MW-142's sitting in my garage and I can't help but notice that the 5" 327 component driver looks identical. The Morel MW-142 has a 3" voice coil and is rated at 150 watts RMS as well. The SI 327 driver I'm referring to is the upper right one on this page: http://www.stereointegrity.com/327.html The Morel MW-142 can be seen here: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...tnumber=297-020
