Hey. I'm looking at getting 8 of the E8's powered by a Sundown SAZ-3000 in a ported box. What size should the box be I am installing them in a 96 cutlass trunk? Also is tuned to 32hz a good freq? Lastly, If i have the box built right and powered right, can I expect good SPL and SQ? I know nothing about these subs so help would be greatly appreciated! :clap:

ok, I've pre-ordered some mpyreaudio mids but they put out the 4 ohm mids for adire extremis (i only pre-ordered because there was no 4 ohm version) plus it's a cheaper driver. Specs are similar but not exactly the same. I'm guessing they will be similar but I will be putting it IB in the doors. Does either one have an advantage in the doors (according to specs)? I forgot what specs to look for to see a better IB driver.

I just made a ported box, and the recessed terminal cup i bought at my local shop looks pretty hard to install - the back of it is a rounded rectange. is it ok to just drill a small hole for my speaker wire in the back of the box and fill it with silicon caulk? im worried this will just make it leak terribly...

I just purchased some bravox cs60cf components and I would like to run them active. I would like to know what is a good rms to give the tweeter and a good rms for the midbass. I have a jl 500/5 that gives 100 rms for front two channels and 25 rms for the back two.

i just got into car audio and also just ordered my 12"bl and i mostly listen to rap and im wondering whats the best tuning for the fi, where it hits the lows awesome as well the the mids and highs?....any feedback would help

So, I had a little whoopsie the other day when my tweet fell off and hit my brand new ID 6.5" woofer, putting a very fine crack in the dustcap. It's only about an inch long, and it's a clean split... you hardly even notice it's there. What would somebody recommend I put on this to keep it from getting worse? It's not a gaping hole or anything it's hair-thin... thanks!

If a 12" needs 1.75 cubes and has a displacement of .12, does the same model 10" need 1.4 and has a displacement of .096? Do you multiply 1.75 & .12 by .2 because there is a 20% size increase from 10 to 12?

Just received my 2 12" zcon's today that I purchased from brownm3. They look gigantious compared to the kickers, lol. They are in super awesome shape and stiff as hell. Hello, I am currently in the market for a sub woofer box for a Fi audio X 12 sub woofer. I have been trying to get the specs right with RE audio calculator but it seems I am in need of help. I have room for a H 14" x W 22" x D 22" sub box. I want it to be ported and tuned @ 33Hz I will be powering it with a amp that pushes 500w @2 ohms. Thank you for all of your help. I currently have 3 JL 10w0's in a sealed box running of a infinity amp that puts out 600rms at 2 ohm. I want a louder system but i dont' have enough money to buy a new amp and the JL's just arent cuttin it. I was thinking about getting a mach 5 mj 18 and putting it in a ported box. Does anyone know this set up will work good with my current amp and be louder than the JL's?

Hey guys, I have an s10 with a FI BL fully loaded 10" and a sundown 1500D on it. I have an alpine CDA-7893 HU, with polk audio coax speakers in the door and dash. I have already put sound deaden-er in the doors. What I'm asking is what amp and component speakers would you guys go with in an s-10. The door speakers are 6.5" I recently took out my sub and amp from my truck and I'm loving the leg room back. So whatever I get out of selling them is what cash I will have to put into a new component set. Im thinking 330 shipped for the amp, and I'm not sure on the sub yet. Hello, I have a friend that just had his sub and amp removed in a unfriendly way from his 2000 Toyota Tundra access cab. He is thinking about putting a new one back in but not visible this time. he was told by a local shop they had a console that could replace his that would have a ten in it. they would of course rape him on the price of that and the install price. I looked around and so far can only find a dual eight under the back seat box. Does anyone have ideas what could work or any other suggestions. He is not proficient with fiberglass or installing. Hey guys Im looking to buy a JL w3v3-2ohm 10'' in my car. I have a 04' BMW 3 series sedan now. I will be getting a custom box so it fits snug somewhere (not moving around everywhere). I currently have my kicker zx750.1 amp, do you think this will be a good match for it? Or do you recommend the 4ohm version? Running just a 4 gauge to it, and looking for some decent CLEAN bass to satisfy everyone in my car =D
