has anyone ever heard these midranges befor from morel. if so anyone give me a mini review or somehting pelase?

hey nick i know this isnt exactly Sub related but i saw in a different forum that you sugjested the Morel MW144 midrange driver to someone? you said it was really good and had killer flat responce so i was wondering if you could please tell me a bit about it? maybe even a review if possible?

will a 12" magnum be ok with around 1.4k for music? what about for full on bass tracks? how much power are you guys giving them?

well, eD is finially making some changes. i myself will be getting on the pre-preorder list tomorrow hopefully. i will be aiming for 2 15's. for those of you who know nothing about them, check up on it in SIN there is some good reading and way good pics. anyways i cant wait to get 4 inches peak to peak out of these little ladies. al

i need a 15" sub for around $200.00 or lower that can handle 500w @2ohm and likes ported box. its going in a older accord so room is not that big of a deal. im thinking pf a box around 3.4 - 4 cuft after displacement tuned to around 36hz or so. the sub needs to be new so start giveing me idea's on sub's. im trying to use something new that i never used before so i can hear a new sub.... jamie

Well I got bored and decided to rip apart a sub to compare with a Magnum. Here's what a pretty regular 12" speaker (rated at 400 watts I think) looks like beside ours:

hey i was just thowing together some fast 15 inch box approximations and if i stood the box up so the sub was firing at the back of the front seat i could only get 1 inch of wood at the top and bottom of the box becuase the speaker size it to big ( i got a max of 18.5 in so with 3/4 in mdf i get 1 inch of space at top and bottom. is that enough space or should i sit it down so the sub is firing upwards. if i do that i can get plenty of room. if i face it upward would it sound any differnt?

More Magnum 15's are estimated to arrive around the middle of June. Pre-orders are now being taken.

I had my new audio equipment installed today, and Ive got a few questions that Im hoping a few of you can answer for me, mostly about my amp Im running my 15" D2 off a Hifonics BX1500D wired at 1-Ohm, and the sub itself is in a 3.2ft^3 enclosure ported @ 32Hz. Im running 4-gauge interconnects from KnuKonceptz and using an Alpine CDA-9827 Head Unit (4-Volt subwoofer out). I know a few of you here are running the same amp I am, which is why I decided to ask this here Anyways, this is my first big install and I am pretty much clueless when it comes to setting my amp settings correctly: SSF (15-35Hz, currently set to 25Hz) Bass Eq (1-18db, currently set on 4db or 5db) Low P…

I'm currently concidering the 327's when they come out, and looking at the specs of the 307's they probably can take a lot of power. Would it be adwiseable to use bi-amping, and will there be a possibility to get crossovers made for the tweeters and midrange separately? I noticed that the SEAS Lotus Reference kit has this as an option, and wonder how you guys at SI would look at this. In home audio bi-amping definitely makes a difference, so it might apply here as well.

I currently have MBquart RSC 216s right now but looking for something possibly a little nicer. Any suggestions? Would be amping these and possibly running them from an Alpine or Eclipse. Thanks Andrew

as said b4 im somewhat of a newb to car audio with some pretty good knowledge but no hands on experience, so a few questions abt wiring..... how should i wire the 500/1 to the d2, ive tried to tech myself through car audio websites with no luck, a link or just some tips would be great! thanx Tom

Hey guys, new to the forum. I never heard kicker until my cous got his 2 12' L5s in a 4 cubed dual vented enclosure (not sure what its tuned at). The subs are on one side and the vents on the other. He runs 500 watts and is loud. His system destroys my dual 12' Type Rs in a 3 cubed enclosure with a 5x5x11 square port tuned to 38hz. His system is the loudest I ever heard and is my standard for loudness I guess.... LOL I basically need louder and have the funds to do it just trying to figure out what I want. I have 4 cubes internal space maybe 4.5 if i'm lucky in my hatch. Would 4 cubes be to small for a pair of 12' L7s? How about a single 12 or 15 in 4 cubed box …

This is for those of you who really don't know us here at Stereo Integrity... I dream, literally, of ways to increase the sound quality of a speaker. My dad and I drive around with spare voice coils in our cup holders (they're 3" diameter, which conveniently helps hold large tall cups in place). Jacob and I rack our brains constantly about the pro's and con's of crossover slopes, frequencies, and speaker selections we are faced with when designing component systems. thanx to you guys i now have box plans for a 12" magnum d2 in a 2.65^3 box before displacements tuned to 28hz using two 4"x40.5" aero ports two questions tho, would the 500/1 be enough get the d2 moving? also, how much more sound will i get out of it if i used a higher power amp? thanx Tom

this is my first real post, so here goes... i am saving money for my 1st system and im lookin to do it right the 1st time ive looked at rf,re, and anything in between and now my intereststs have landed on the 12" magnum d2 i am currently workin on a custom center consol in my 2002 s10 REG CAB, so my options are limited now for the questions: 1. what kind of volume/tuning would be good for like a 60/40 or 70/30 spl/sq setup? 2.what amp would match up with that setup nicely? 3. yall are gonna hate me for this one but....how does it compare to a 12w7 in the same box/amp setup? i understand this is alot for one post but im a complete newb to the magnums, so any info/suggestio…

Well don't know if you guys remember or not but I was going to do a comparison between the D2 15" and the xxx 15" so I bought both, the RE 15" is coming and I haven't heard it yet so I don't want to cancel my order cause I want a chance to hear it first, if I like the RE sub I'll keep it, if not I'll buy another D2. My nitrous setup is going to cost a little more than I spected so the wife made me compromise Its in mint condition. Just bought it last week. maybe has 2-3 hours on it. I'm selling it for the same price as nick sells them. If I don't get the money oh well i'll just keep it I guess cause its worth no less. Since they will not be available for a few month…
