Just curious at what your set up is (box type, size, brand, and amps, etc). and most importantly, how does it sound?

More Magnum 15's are estimated to arrive around the middle of June. Pre-orders are now being taken.

This is for those of you who really don't know us here at Stereo Integrity... I dream, literally, of ways to increase the sound quality of a speaker. My dad and I drive around with spare voice coils in our cup holders (they're 3" diameter, which conveniently helps hold large tall cups in place). Jacob and I rack our brains constantly about the pro's and con's of crossover slopes, frequencies, and speaker selections we are faced with when designing component systems. hey i was just thowing together some fast 15 inch box approximations and if i stood the box up so the sub was firing at the back of the front seat i could only get 1 inch of wood at the top and bottom of the box becuase the speaker size it to big ( i got a max of 18.5 in so with 3/4 in mdf i get 1 inch of space at top and bottom. is that enough space or should i sit it down so the sub is firing upwards. if i do that i can get plenty of room. if i face it upward would it sound any differnt?

im thinking of buying a 15D2 and giving my 12 to my bro when will hte next 15's be released? and for the stealth audio plans ill be back in like 5 min with some pictures. ill shoot some pics of my new truck and show you what im gunna do.

Alright ... dual Shiva's ... amp = Arc 1500D-R. Right now they're firing upwards in 1.25 cubes per driver. I'm pleased with their performance, but I personally think they can do a bit more. I've tried 1 cube per driver, 1.25/driver, and 1.5/driver all sealed, with and without polyfill. I stuck with the 1.25/driver with polyfill just because that's what sounded the best to me. I've also tried 1.75/driver ported to 24hz. Wasn't too bad. Keep in mind they are firing upwards. It's a Chevy 2500HD ... big truck, four door, custom center console ... woofers in the back half of the truck firing upwards. Bucket seats in the back if you can picture it ... the console divides…

Ported box is around 2cf tuned to 30 hz,sealed 1.2cf all after displacement

thanx to you guys i now have box plans for a 12" magnum d2 in a 2.65^3 box before displacements tuned to 28hz using two 4"x40.5" aero ports two questions tho, would the 500/1 be enough get the d2 moving? also, how much more sound will i get out of it if i used a higher power amp? thanx Tom

I had my new audio equipment installed today, and Ive got a few questions that Im hoping a few of you can answer for me, mostly about my amp Im running my 15" D2 off a Hifonics BX1500D wired at 1-Ohm, and the sub itself is in a 3.2ft^3 enclosure ported @ 32Hz. Im running 4-gauge interconnects from KnuKonceptz and using an Alpine CDA-9827 Head Unit (4-Volt subwoofer out). whatsup, i got my new viper 1200d in and when i open the box my jaw dropped, its such a sweet amp. i went into the garage and made a simple amp rack out left over wood. turned out pretty good wutchu guys think? maybe ill get a spot on SI's website in the demo section!

Well don't know if you guys remember or not but I was going to do a comparison between the D2 15" and the xxx 15" so I bought both, the RE 15" is coming and I haven't heard it yet so I don't want to cancel my order cause I want a chance to hear it first, if I like the RE sub I'll keep it, if not I'll buy another D2. My nitrous setup is going to cost a little more than I spected so the wife made me compromise Its in mint condition. Just bought it last week. maybe has 2-3 hours on it. I'm selling it for the same price as nick sells them. If I don't get the money oh well i'll just keep it I guess cause its worth no less. Since they will not be available for a few month…

as said b4 im somewhat of a newb to car audio with some pretty good knowledge but no hands on experience, so a few questions abt wiring..... how should i wire the 500/1 to the d2, ive tried to tech myself through car audio websites with no luck, a link or just some tips would be great! thanx Tom

I currently have MBquart RSC 216s right now but looking for something possibly a little nicer. Any suggestions? Would be amping these and possibly running them from an Alpine or Eclipse. Thanks Andrew

i hit 143.8 in a sealed box in my rsx with 2 15's and a jbl 1200.1

this is my first real post, so here goes... i am saving money for my 1st system and im lookin to do it right the 1st time ive looked at rf,re, and anything in between and now my intereststs have landed on the 12" magnum d2 i am currently workin on a custom center consol in my 2002 s10 REG CAB, so my options are limited now for the questions: 1. what kind of volume/tuning would be good for like a 60/40 or 70/30 spl/sq setup? 2.what amp would match up with that setup nicely? 3. yall are gonna hate me for this one but....how does it compare to a 12w7 in the same box/amp setup? i understand this is alot for one post but im a complete newb to the magnums, so any info/suggestio…

yeah..the box was made by fine custom works, and is 4 ft^3, tuned to 32 hz. i didn't take any excursion porn pictures...im still only running it with a crappy power acoustik 900 watt amp with the gains turned down low, but it still gets so loud and stays so clean. my old subs (don't laugh, audiobahns) sounded like crap compared to this. when i'd turn them loud, i'd hear popping and it sounded terrible. these sound so much better. im surprised at how good the sq is on this 15"...i always heard that 15"s were a little sloppier than 12"s, but they definately are not like that at all.

i want to run my amp at 4 ohm bridge (because that is all it is capable of)... so if i were to get two 12 d2s mags would i need to get a new amp or would it be ok for me to wire the sub at 8 ohm and run it like that?

what would you get? I want something that can scare my friends, will be mounted in w holecab early ford bronco. I'm going for dual 12's just gotto find out which ones for amps I figured i would get dual hifonic brutus 1500, one for each so I can run 1 ohm I'm not going to compete, but I hate the damn sound of my single 12" lanzar (yeah ) hitting the max. I want it loud, but I like the bass to be tight. as much if both as possible I like what I read on the forums about the magnum, but I have a friend competeing here, which says W7 for live

hey whats up everyone. i finally got my money for my amp which is going to my mag d2 15. my question is should i get the bx1000d or the bx1500d. the sub is in a 3.3 ported box tuned to 32 and its in a daily driven car. if i go with the bx1500d am i gonna always have to worry about blowing the sub. ive noticed that alot of people are giving it 1500 watts but i saw that nick said that if these subs were rated like other subs it would be 1000wrms which is why im just making sure which amp to go with. thanks alot
