i have some blown rockford hx2 15's and i have seen people recone them with other brand recone kits ...does anyone know what one fits the hx2

I'm wondering if I should pick up one for my home theater setup and throw it in a sonotube. Anyone have expierence with these and have used them yet? I'm wondering if the 8" would be sufficient for my room setup. I have ~240w to work with. Thanks! Quick Responses please lol

hey guys!! i recently purchased a 2002 chevy suburban. I will be using the burban as my sound car instead of my dodge charger so my question is... what components do you guys suggest me getting the car speaker sizes are 5-1/4" all around.. front door,rear door and kick panel. i want to get them on an amp was thinking of a sundown amp for sure because i am getting a sundown SAZ-2000 if you guys can help me out PLEASE figure out what components and sundown amp to get!! Hey Everyone, I am switching from my 15 BL to either 12's or 10's. I love the 15's but I sold one to a friend and am trying to sell another one that I never even used NIB. Anyway, I was thinking of doing 2 or 3 12's or maybe even 4 10's. I just have not really made up my mind yet. I have not had either and I was wondering which you guys prefer. If you were going to make a system and had either choice what would you choose and why. Also what brand would you go with, I'm looking for good loud subs that stay tight and keep there quality. For now they will be on a SAE-1200 but I plan on moving to a 2000 in the future when I upgrade my electrical further. Basically just …

99 Grand Marquis has no rear door speakers. Should I change out all the factory speakers with components or put comps in front doors and 4 6.5 or 6x9 coaxals in rear deck. Or put 4 6.5 comps in rear deck.

I will soon be attempting my first recone. I am ordering a recone kit for my aq hdc315 d1 right now and when it arrives dj(aq's owner) told me to call him back and he would walk me through it step by step. For those who have done recones before any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! p.s. Just thought this was funny. I called two audioshops in nearby towns and asked the guy who answered the phone if any one there could do recones. Neither shop had ever even heard of reconing a speaker and the guy at the second shop thought I was trying to prank him because he had never heard of reconing or the brand audioque. Does anybody on here know if rockford recones their old power hx2 subs.

the amp im set on is a rockford fosgate t15001bd on that power which would be louder 2 incriminator audio lethal injections 12s or 1 incriminator audio death penalty 15 if they were in the perfect boxes

So I asked around on a few forums about my custom dual 2. Since I am adding a second coil, going from a single 2 layer to a dual 4 layer, I am adding mass and adding double the wire for current. I now have double the windings in the gap. So I asked if my Fs would drop a tad from added mass, efficiency would go up a touch from having double the windings, and if power handling would go up a tad as well as now I have 2 wires sharing the power, thus 1/2 the power going through each wire. Can they handle half ohm each I plan to wire them down to half ohm each when I get them since I will be getting a dc audio 2k and want to get the 1ohm power output

i have yet to decide on a new front stage, i have a pretty beefy set up /w eu's in the rear and a w6v2. was wondering what comps would do well with 70 watts goin to em. i was lookin at focal polyglass 165v2's and rainbow slc 265's. the focals have high sensitivity, so i know they'll be loud enough to be heard /w my rear stage. any reccomendations are welcome, the doors will be deadened, so midbass response will be better. also, where's a good place to stick the tweets? cant build kick panels cuz i have a foot e-brake, and i use it. thanks a lot for the help

A while back I ordered a custom recone kit going from a single 2 to a dual 2 coil, and I was wondering if there would be any noteable increase in power handling, Mms, and efficiency as well as a lowering in Fs since there will be double the coil... but I think i was mostly told not enough to be note worthy. Later on I painted the cone, and suddenly I was being told I would totally mess up the drivers SQ and SPL by adding mass and making the cone stiffer (obviousely mostly by noobs and tards) Anyway, Exodus Audio's GEN II Maelstrom-X came out. Im going to upgrade my amps with a Soundstream Reference 500sx for the sub and a Zapco Ag 360 for the components. Considering to upgrade to a single 10 or 12 for now in a sealed enclosure(i can make myself), looking for sound quality, something that makes your chest rumble at the same time. $300 shipped is my budget Rli-10, Rlp-12, 10w3v3, 12w3v3, IDQ 10 & 12, Re sex 10 &12, Fiq 10 & 12, Icon 10 & 12 these some subs had in mind. I just picked up a 04 crossfire, and have setteled for two tens. I found a box that is .42 x 2, that will face the rear. I haven't went speaker shopping since the mid 90's. I'm used to two 12 inch hollywoods, in a small box for mustangs, with a bazooka 700w amp. almost enough to vibrate your eyes. With a budget in mind, what should I look into? brands, versions, amp???? any suggestions, thanks chris

So on the combo for the 15'' nightshade with the 1500d, it sais "Item not available", but on the sub and amp individually its in stock or 'allow 1-2 week build time'. so are the nightshades available for order? or just not the combo? whats the deal because im looking to buy in the next couple days.
