  2. Hey, I was wondering what you guys think of this idea. I've seen it done before and think it's awesome. At the back of my trunk (back as in back of the car) there is a small slightly recessed "well" on each side (Taurus). I have seen an install of a pair of small subs, one on each side, and thought it was pretty cool. I'm fairly new to fiberglassing but I pick up things pretty fast and I think I could pull this off. Basically I want it to look unique, custom but still OEM-style, and pound hard, yet still offer the trunk space I need for long trips. My concerns: 1. When the subs are installed opposing each other in the wells like this, will them pointing at each other canc…

  3. Yea, Ive already checked the SI website and saw the address to send my money to, but I was wondering if there was a way to pay for one of these with PayPal, or if sending my check off was the only way. Do I need to write Nick an email before I send the check so that he is expecting it, or should I just go ahead and send it with my contact information (email, phone, address....anything else needed besides naming the item I am buying?)? If I can pay with PayPal, what is the PayPal address that I should send the money to? Are there additional charges for using PayPal? I sent an email to Nick asking pretty much these same questions yesterday, but never got a response. No doub…

Can 't decide. I was in Sound Advise listening to the demo speakers, wanted to check out the Clarion decks. I coulda sworn the W7 was hittin with the Z6s until I realized it was just the components that were playing! Nice stuff. How do the 307s compare to this?

This was turning out to be a good day after I had such a bad day...... Then it got worse. Upon running to the door to greet the FedEx man, I open the door and see him speeding away...... Wait a minute, where's my other 15???? :boxin: Nick, check your mail. B) Isn't she purty lying next to a POS Fultron 10"??!!!!! I must say, I am overjoyed with the build quality on this thing. There's little details that I was not expecting and I'm actually overwhelmed by this thing. And anyone who knows me will tell you I rarely get like this over a driver. I'm, usually critical of everything. Well SI gets an A++ in my book. I'll add another plus when somebody finds my other 1…

Monday turned out to be nice so I decided that I would tackle the task of removing the rear speakers.I cant believe the buzzing & rattling that was caused by all the bass being trapped in the trunk.Well I must say theres a big difference ,I feel alot more bass coming in and filling the cabin.Just incredible what 1-12 can do if installed correctly and given the right power. It took me 1 1/2 hrs to remove the deck speakers and if I wanted to put them back aleast the process would go alittle faster(I hate molding fasteners).Anyone with a '02-'04 Camry needing help with an installation,Holla,I'm ur boi!.....I think I need a massage :thud:

Both 12" in sealed boxes. SQ? Ability to sound good with 1200w for two drivers. Both subs seem awesome to me, I have been looking at adire because of the xbl tech. Brahma is a little more $. ahh I wish I could listen to them myself. Compare some of these side by side.

is the PG tantrum 1200W too much for a magnum 15'' D2? I've seen some birthsheets that have 1500+ watts on this amp. I want real nice SQ in this setup any other suggestions under $400 for an amp? thanks.

Hey, I was wondering what the cones are made of? It looks like a pulp paper cone? If so, I take it they are holding up ok? Was it picked because of the light weight? Also wondering how I would wire 2-12's if I decide to go with them. I have a memphis mc1000d and wiring it to 1ohm gives you about 1100 w. So with 2 ohm d.v.c. I can only get 2 ohm and .5 ohm right? Does anyone know what the actual resistance is for the d2's wiring to .5 ohm. Like does it actually read .8 or like .3? curious because all the subs I have had never read exactly the correct ohm load. I don't want to have to buy a new amp to go with the mags. thanks.

what differences would i notice with a 12 inch with these differnt box sizes, 1.0CF, 1.3CF, 1.5CF would i loose any sound quality or puchiness as i went bigger? i ask becuase i found a way to make a bit more space in my truck and as you all saw my box design in another post it ended up around 1.25CF after displacement. if you think it will make a "good" difference i can crank it up to about 1.3-1.4CF after displacement.
