I'm going to SHOOT YOU! YOU DRIVE ME FREAKING CRAZY! YOU AND YOUR DAMN 15" WOOFER.... Anyone want to see a side by side, box by box comparison of a XXX15 AND a Mag 15??? Call me crazy....... But I just might have the funds and the ability to do so.... My question is...do you think there is enough interest to do this..how many people would want to see this?? It'll all be in the same car..with the same power and the same enclosure environment..... Tests will be ran with all sorts of different music in an attempt to appeal to the typical user..tests will include various boxes and tuning, different music, the LOW END, excursion pictures, and MAYBE some SPL.... this is to do with the comps (307) how low does the 5.25 go. and what you guys are useing for the gap from the 307 to your subs... i seen one guy with the peerless midbass in his doors of his 97 camaro, which model are they.... thanks jamie

I've been reading a lot about those new mids/components coming out, ED's big midbass, Adire's Extremis, RE's XXX 6.5, etc. and was wondering what some people thought of them. Me, personally, I can't wait for the XXX, mainly because I'm a big RE fan, and they are supposed to play from like 60 hz to 4-5khz clean! now that is a feat, but we'll just have to see how good they actually are when it gets closer to release time. Also, that XBL ^ 2 4" "full" range speaker, jeebus, that sounds impressive, but as i said above, we'll have to see. :ph34r:

Does SI have something up their sleeve on the component side? Something like the RE XXX6" in a 3 way comp system?

i have a beyond audio inhuman 15 it is a quad coil and i was wondering how i can hook up all 4 coils too one amp? any ideas??

Alright...now that I have the accuracy/SQ of the system all set (Sealed pair of Magnums), I'd like to find something that really exaggerates the low end....I'm looking for an Fs lower than 26hz with a box requirement that doesn't exceed 4 cubes in a ported alignment...It can take lots of power if need be (up to 2200w) so long as it is a DVC2 woofer....I'm looking for either 2 12's, 1 15, 2 15's, or 1 18 to acheive this...without going over the $350 mark.. Trying to get a really low F3 (low 20's) So far my list is: 2 HC15's 1 HC18 1 Brahma 15 Anyone else have any suggestions??

I'm driving to work,all of a sudden NO bass.Well I get to work,pop the trunk and see the sub sitting upright next to box.The driver came loose from the box,I could not believe my eyes.Later that evening when I got home I screwed the sub back onto the box,turned the system on,went back to trunk,all I hear is rattling.Man I'm so pissed,anyways I emailed Nick to find out how much it would cost to fix,lets see what happens.Man I love that sub and just got the Brutus for it too,just had to let it out,thanx for listening !

Sup,I believe that this is my 1st posting here at SS.I didnt know that there was even a forum for Stereo Integrity but I'm glad to see there is one.First I like to say that the Magnum is a monster of a sub(I have the 'claw' basket),definitely one of a kind.If something were to happen to this driver I'll either get it fixed or just keep it b/c the basket IMHO is a classic.Props to Nick & the gang @ SI for well built product.As u can see by my sig.(pic in my other reply is 1.4cf) that I am presently running 1 Mag in a 1.0cf sealed box ,the output from this setup is truly amazing.Even though it sounds great sealed,I really the ported sound better.Now to the fun stuff,I …

what do you all think? i am building a seald box for a pair of mags. can i tune a sealed box? if so to what hz? also should i go with a bit of a larger box to accommidate the two drivers, instead of the recomended size? my amp for a pair of magnum d2's? tarantula 1600w mtx 1500w rocford fosgate 1500w any other suggestions on what amp i should get

Im thinking about building a box for my magnum D2s which would be about 2.5cuft a sub and the box will be tuned to 34hz. Is that too much? Do you think i need to have a 2.0cuft box tuned to 32hz? Im not doing any competitions, but i listen to ALOT of rap. And i want something that will make my subs pound insanely yet hit EVERY note of bass while doing it. I dont want the subs to bottom out or nothing when the bass drops too low. So is the 2.5 ok or should i reduce it to 2.0. And what about the tuning frequency?

I don't have amgnums yet, but I'm planning to get them soon. But I'm going to start planning and building the box. I want a ported box for 2, tuned to between 28-30. My max outside dimensions are 15.5h X 19d X 35w. How long and wide should the port be? thanks for the help

i have a single Powerbase XS 15 coming and want to make a box for it but have no idea where to start. It will powered by an XTR Pro 2400 going in the trunk of an 02 Grand Prix. on the site it says for 4.5 cu. ft. internal, and a slot port of 36 sq. in. x 15" long. Does that 4.5 cube internal space include the port area, or do you have to figure that in too? That is for the recommended tuning of 34 hz. Also, would it be benefical at all for to tune a little lower, i was thinking maybe 31-32ish, i wanted it be able to play low also... I'm looking to put a sub in my g/f's car. i want it to be as loud as possible. im open to suggestions on how to tune the box and model of sub. here are the requirements: must have a final ohm load of 4 ohm 300-500w rms atleast a 12" or 15" MUST BE UNDER $100 SHIPPED (NEW OR USED) any help is greatly appreciated. Have spent some time in my car, tuning frequencys and adding/removing sheep wool from my 1"cuft box now. And the result is outstanding from what I can hear. The tight snap from the D2 really compliments the sound from my BA PRO 4.5 & 6.5 components. Slammed in Eric Claptons "best of" cd, listened to some Metallica, Korn, Toccata & fugua and a lot of other stuff. The only conclusion I can come up with is that this is by far the cleanest thing I've had in my trunk; I borrowed a sealed RF 2112 and hooked it up, and man what a difference in sound in comparison to the D2, blurry and with no thump. Looks like this new awesome sub will actually be going into my girlfriends alero. The goal that I am trying to acomplish is to make everything hiddin from the trunk view. So the sub will fire into the cabin, as well as the port. I would like to seal the box from the trunk, and match the fabric from inside the trunk so you can't tell that she has anything in there. I have two Stereo Integrity Magnum D2's and want to port them very badly. I am looking for LSQ about 60/40 SPL to SQ. Ill be giving each sub 800 true watts. This will all be going in the trunk of a 2000 cavalier. The biggest box I can fit in their is 30w x 15h x 16d. I want to tune the box to anywhere from 30 - 35hz if possible. What is the biggest box I will be able to make to those dimentions and what will it be tuned to? Will I have to use round ports or is it possible to use a single slot port. If round will there be any port noise and if so how noticible will it be? I am making box by tommorow so I would appreciate responses as soon as possible. Thanx.
