I have one JL 10w6v3 dvc 4 ohm and two JL 10w3v3 svc 4 ohm and I'm looking for a 1 ohm load if possible. Any ideas and/or things I should consider? Just FYI, the 10w6d4 is in its own H.O. enclosure and the 2 10w3v3 svc 4 ohm are in their own dual enclosure. Thanks in advance

  3. i still have two new Sundown Audio SA-8v3 subs left over from a previous project. i would like to re-purpose them for my daily driver which is sq focused. can the SA-8 be musical ? if so, how do i accomplish this without switching them out for something different. Sundown website states sealed enclosures are not recommended. local dealer tells me that once you port the SA series, they become more spl oriented subs.

Hey guys, new to the forum. Curious if the Icon 15 will go back in production? I used to have an Icon 12, I had it in my shed during switching vehicles, unfortunately it ended up missing along with my whole shed during a hurricane lol I loved the sound of it. Since then Ive been running an old 2010 Fi SSD 12 I had sitting around, in a ported enclosure tuned to 32 hz. Im looking to do a little upgrade, was wondering if the 15 Icon will ever come back? Is it worth getting the Gcon 15 instead?

Anyone know when we might see a revamp of the punch line? They been on the same run for years now . Would love to see them go back to the 90's style with the spruce paper cones loved that sound and look..would be amazing to see a O.G company get back to roots of the hobby. I'm honestly sick of all these new kids with the same ol cookie cutter everything.

Need new sub, blew my 18" treo ssx. Anyone do recones for a decent price? Anyone selling an 18 that does 2500-3k? Budget is $300-400 Im open to other options as well. Im workin with about 4cu ft net ported, 5 sealed. Figured the 18 is the best way to go, but if 2x 15's sealed would fit, cool.

Hello all, I have a '17 Audi A3 and I recently had Best Buy install a Pioneer TS-WX1010A and it sounds great... However I have a huge issue with it. If I turn off the music or even put the volume to 0, the sub goes berserk. The guy at Best Buy has never seen that and of course has no idea what could be the problem... Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Hello everybody, I currently have a hifonics ZRX1216.1D It can do 1200w x 1 ohm or 600w x 2 ohm or 400 x 4ohms. I currently have a soundqubed HDS2.1 12" 600W rms subwoofer, I don't remember off the top of my head but I think I have it set up at 1 ohm. Anyway, I'm not sure If I should spend 188$ and get 2 600w rms dual 4 HDS2.1 12"s, or go with 1 SSA Demon 12" (dual 4 ohm) and eventually end up buying a second SSA Demon down the line. I'm starting to want to get into more quality built subwoofers over just cheap stuff so I really want to go with the demon but im not sure if its really worth it. They are on sale currently though so thats very enticing. The box i'm curren…

I could really use some advice here. I have a 2014 2500 Ram that I need to decide what route to take on subs and enclosure. This truck has two cavities in the floor area under the back bench seat. Fox Acoustics makes a box for it that’s molded to fit the area. It gives you 1.55 cu feet per side and it’s tuned to 35 HZ. You can do a pair of 10’s or 12’s but limited to a mounting depth of 7.25” and the magnet must be no more than 6.5” in diameter to work. They also do another box that has a center console for the rear built into this box. It let’s you use 4 10’s and the box is 4.3 cu feet and tuned to 34 HZ. Mounting depth is 7” max and the magnet diameter you can use is 7…

  14. Hello everyone! I need some advice about making a compact Subwoofer. I am planning to make portable,"on the go" subwoofer box, but I have dilemmas about the speaker size. The enclosure will be 6x6x6 inches. I can feet 5.25 inch speaker with no problem, but I have terrible feeling that the woofer will not sound good. So I need your opinion. Should i go with the 5.25 inch speaker, or I am going to need smaller speaker like 4 inches? I really appreciate your help. Thank you.

Ok. I'm starting back into audio but thought I'd start off with a decent boom/bang. Looking mostly for SQ with a little SPL. I already own a "brand spanking new" Zed Audio Kronos, pre-ordered a Stereo Integrity BM Mk V (I'm kind of limited in space). I was thinking of adding a SSA IC 150.4 and a set of 6.5 Evil Mids(I guess 8 ohm versions) and Evil 1 Tweeters. I am looking to do the following setup (all in a 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe): IC150.4 - Ch1 and 2 to Evil 1 Tweeters (maybe mounted to A-pillars or factory door location) IC150.4 - Ch3 and 4 bridged to BM Mk V (debating on how I want to set this up; either wheel well or leaned against the front of tru…

  16. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with using a car audio sub in a home theater setting? I will be getting a Crown amp that is somewhere aroung 4k - 5k watts so power shouldn't be too much of an issue. I was mostly looking at building a box for a single 15" since the box for a 18" jumps up in size considerably. Any info and/or help is greatly appreciated. Thank you Eric

  17. Ok so running two rockford p3 15's 2.5 cubic per sub still within Rockford specs of 1.86 to 3.0 cubes. Subs are d2 wired on a RF T1500BDCP at 2ohm so subs seeing a few hundred watts over rms should I be ok with subsonic off? Amps filter is 28hz with a 12db slope . A few people said because I went with closer to the large side I should use the filter but I'm not sure I lose a lot of low end with it on .

I currently have the new alpine type x components on my 90mazda b2200 installed on some custom kick panels i made and dont like how they sound. I just purchased 4 10s Savard Rap subs that i plan on installing them in the back space of the seats. So im looking for drivers that could keep up with subs but maybe little more vocal. Im not going for SPL or SQ, something in between. I was thinking of adding 2 5” drivers per door wired down to 4ohm and 2 tweeters per door “ or maybe gonna install in A/C vents” down to 4ohm as well. The amp i have for vocals is a Twisted Sounds 150.4. I was planning on raw drivers madisound or PE, with budget of around 40-70 per driver depending …

  19. I bought a 10" powered under seat subwoofer from the sound storm https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001CY13W2/ref=oh_aui_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and used an LC2i to convert the speaker signal from the rear left speaker to RCA outputs. I do not have a subwoofer stock as i have the lower trim level which doesnt incude a factory sub. I finished the setup and can barely notice the subwoofer working. The sub turns on and does work, but is extremely weak/quiet, not even as powerful as the stock rear speakers. I have tried almost everything to try and get it to work and get more bass but nothing seems to work. If someone can give me some feedback or advice that would…

I had two Pioneer Championship PRO (TS-W3003D4) 12" subs (600watt RMS each) on a Hifonics Zeus 1200 watt amp wired at 1 Ohm in my 02 Tahoe. It was pretty powerful, but I still would like a little more punch in the chest, so I'm now thinking about maybe going with 3 Kicker Comp-VRs and a better amp, OR maybe if there are more powerful 12"s with the right amp combination. I'm at a point where I'm ready to take this seriously now. What brands or whatnot would I need?

I would like to find a good selection of tweeters to pair with my MCintosh 630's https://www.ebay.com/itm/MSS630-McIntosh-COMPONENT-SPEAKERS-TWEETERS-MIDS-X-OVERS-GREAT-CLEAR-SOUND-NEW-/130617525735 and Audison bit1. I am also looking for a 100X4 amp that sounds clean. This has to fit in my 1990 Lotus esprit. The plan is and is going along. To finsh building my custom doors that house tweeters near the handles and midbass by the knees. The midbass will have boxes of around 4L-6L of capacity and be ported. Then when the speakers are built I plan on adding in a 4x100 amp for the front connected to the bit1 and having that connected to a CD or better quality audio so…

Need a little help with box design. I tried out about 6-7 of them now and they all give me different numbers. I want to do a 6" Aero port (unless recommended otherwise). Any sites you guys know of where it takes displacement for the sub and port into consideration while calculating? I tried BCAE1.com, Internal dimensions are 12.5x28.5x21.9 = 7801/1728= 4.5cu. ft. Their site is saying Gross volume = 4.2, which is already wrong, then -.32 for sub displacement and also need to subtract port displacement....?? RE's site doesnt allow aero port calculations.

  24. Hey guys, I was originally going to run my Treo Engineering SSX 18", but decided I don't want to go through upgrading the alternator. Where is the most you recommend running off the stock ALT with an upgraded battery? Can I get away with 2KW? I'm looking to run 2x15's now, something around 750RMS. I'm not to familiar with this power range, what do you guys recommend? Something around $150 each preferably Needs to fit in a 2010 Maxima

  25. Does anyone know of a thiele-small parameter database or where I could go to get this info for a slightly older sub? In this case I have an original RE Audio SE 12 d2 that I am trying to build a box for but I cant find the needed info. I called the company and the lady said they don't have the info since they were discontinued. P.S. there have been two versions released since the one I have. Any help would be great.
