Hello all, ive been shopping around the last month for my next seasons' sub purchase, and "someone" who's close to SI and Team Smoke suggested I dabble with the Stereo Integ Magniums as a SPL sub in my Corvette SPL car build. Being that it is, an SPL only vehicle would it be honest to consider the SI Mag's to be a SPL or a SQ related subsoofer? I know there are alot of more variables to contend with beyond just the sub that dictates a SQ or SPL useage, but im suggesting my application will only be SPL, for highest numbers and not necessiarily the best SQ, since we all know there is a trade off at some point on something, ya know...the iron law thing Before I posted th…

Hey guy, am putting together a system for my ride which is a 2003 dodge Dakota Ext. Cab. Am planning on running 2 12" sealed in a 2.5 cu.ft (Net) enclosure because am a big guy and I don't have the additional space to go ported. Am debating whether to go with the Incriminator Audio LI 12 or the Sundown SA-12. I will be running the Sundown SAX or SAZ 1200D amp. Am done with the Big 3 upgrade, and am using a UPS12-490MR battery to power my vehicle off of a stock alternator which is around 130 amp @ 3000 RPM, hopefully this will be enough to prevent dimming. Well the killer deal I was going to get on some warden 15s is looking pretty grim. I mean killer too. So I need to make a new plan. roughly 10 cubes to work with if I build in the trunk Absolute max width is 38, hieght is 18-19. I'm looking for midbass speakers for an install. Processing: more than likely a minidsp Power: will be chosen once the midbass is picked out. Midrange speakers: TB W3 or W4, so I imagine 300-400 Hz is the LP for midbass Depth: 3", although I might can stretch it to 4". It's going ON the doors of a Mercedes W124, I'm unsure how much I can cut into the door and go back, so the shallower, the better. im running a 12inch icon at 1 ohm on a sd sax1200, ported at 32hz. im looking to upgrade for more output. the icon is amazing but i want to move a little more air. contemplating going to an xcon 12 or 15. i like the specs of the sundown x series also. i want something brutal! am i barking up the wrong tree with an xcon? do i have enough power to push one in a 15inch? lemme know what you guys think.

Wassup all. I was thinking about revamping my car audio and one thing I would love to change is the driver in my sub stage. I have limited access to very few mainstream drivers like Kicker and RF. Both of them have some decent stuff but way overpriced and I have noticed most of them are pretty boomy and lack definition. My goal is to be able to tell the different notes apart and have the ability for multiple simultaneous bass lines to be distinguished so you know they are playing. I'm trying to make a descision between these 2 subs. I plan on running only 1, off of 1500 watts rms. I can make any electrical upgrades that are necessary. I drive a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad-Cab, so space is somewhat of an issue. I currently have a box with 2 12's taking up 2 of my back seats, and would like to try and free up some more space. I have heard that the Sundowns do well in smaller enclosures. My main goal is to hit lows, get loud, and sound smooth. I listen to rap/hip hop and Chopped and Screwed music. Any personal experience with either of these subs is appreciated.

ok I am looking for opinions here. what do you guys feel are the advantages and disadvantages of running several 8" subs compared to a single 15". Asuming both are installed properly and run off the same amp at the same impedience. Thanks Chad

So I was at a car show the other day and heard a setup with 4 sets of components in the doors. I was astonished by the loudness and clarity. I want to do something similar. I am on a budget and am looking to spend around $600 as far as speakers go. So yes (8) total midbasses and (8) total tweeters. I have looked on parts express and it is possible. I just don't know what to get and what would best suit my needs. I am looking for loudness and clarity. Obviously sound quality or staging is not of importance. I got my recone/basket in today and i cut my old sub up and was about to put the new one together when i realized that it didn't come with a gasket. will running it without the gasket for a few days hurt the woofer in any way?

ok, im new here, so hi i have a small car that i have an old used rockford phosgate 12" sub set up to a really old amp, and im in need of an upgrade. im kind of on a budget. i have a 2000 watt power acoustik amp picked out (with a bass knob), and now im looking for subs. im not sure if i should go with a rockford punch (stage 3?) 15", 2 rockford punch (stage 2?) 12's, or get a fi ssd 15" (probably with the bp power and copper coil)...or if you have any other sugestions in the same price range, please leave them (gotta consider my options eh?) sorry if like my terminology is off im pretty new in the whole car audio thing, but im addicted to bass and cant stop haha thanks g…

I'm looking for suggestions for a single 10" sub for a sealed box. I have a 700w rms amp @ 2 ohms that will be powering it. I will build the box to specs. Budget is around $250 max I listen to all genres of music, and am really just looking for the loudest sub while still retaining decent SQ. Please don't suggest a ported box, I'm not interested in one.

Okay so i'm designing my box for the 2nd Gcon 15'' and i'm thinking about going with 10^3ft box and i wanna know what a recommended tuning for it would be and how i would measure the port hole. Recommended was between 28-33hz and the recommended optimal ported was 4.00-6.00ft cubed per sub. let me know

So I ordered a 15" mag I think a week n a half ago. I just haven't had time to get everything setup and what not. Over the last week, in my spare time, I have been building my 2.5 cu ft sealed box. Here are some of the pics: Thats it for now. Should be done tomorrow. Glueing the front baffle onto the box and the terminal cup. Then sealing and carpeting and installing tomorrow!
