I'm thinking of just scratching my previous posts and might go for a single 15 ported. I want a loud setup with good SQ. You all probably know what amp I have by now (JBL GTO 1201.1 II puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms). I'm having a b!tch of a time picking a 15 being there are soo many good ones. So far I want a 15 that'll sound good, get loud and drop low in 3 cubes ported. So far these are what I'm trying to decide between. I know all probably sound good but which would get louder? Also what should I tune to? I plan on placing an order for one of these this weekend. 1 SSA Icon 15 1 SS RL-p 15 1 Fi Q15

Whats up SSA! I have 2 Ascendant Audio Mayhem 15's running on a Soundstream dtr 1.3400 at .25 ohm (3400 rms @ .5 2200 rms @ 1ohm) I have the subs in around 6.2 cubic ft net and they get loud but im itching to get louder if i can... I can get 3 American Bass HD 15's dual 1's and wire to .67 ohm... But can i just make another hole in my box? Thats the most airspace available. Goals.. Hit 150 db (currently 149.1) Should i keep the 2 15's or get 3 ? If its a bad question/ idea input on that would be apreciated Thanks

Does anyone have experience with the Exile flat subs, or even flat subs in general? My 10" Q takes up way too much space in my car (2 seater) and adds too much weight so I'm going to sell it and it's looking like a flat sub is my only option to stay comfortable. I know a sub like this won't be near as nice as my Q, but do they at least sound good and get loud enough for normal listening?

This is setup temporarily until I make another box. Still working on another 4th order I just wanted to see how this huge port performs. I posted a buildup of the port over on caraudio.com. It's 10.75" internal diameter and it flares out to 15.5 on the large flare and I don't remember the smaller flare. Finally got the electrical system where it needs to be...HO alt, 3 new batts, and new amp. Here's the pics! It moves a ton of air. Juice Box is an awesome song to play

We finally got our T-shirts in!! They will be $15 plus shipping (I'll try to package them in the smallest thing I can to keep shipping down). We everything from Medium to XL's. The T-shirts have our logo on the front left breast and our logo large on the back with the text "believe me, you need the bass" below that. Anyway, I just thought I'd post. And no pics...that got stolen too.

Hi- I am going to add a little midbass to my ride (it doesn't really have any atm). I am going to buy 4 MLI-65 midbass woofers. I am going to make a sealed enclosure for all 4 for the rear deck. Any recommendations on how big this should be? Thanks.

Hey there guys im hoping u can give me some advice. Im in the need for a new front stage and im at a crossroads? The two im looking at right now are the Alpine pro series or Rainbow soundline SLCkickers. But open to other ideas. Im willing to spend about 350 on the comps. The doors are 6.5's SYSTEM: ... A Fi 12SSD sub in a sealed box with an AQ1200D Amp wired at 2ohms. Giving it 870watts to the sub. as of right now i have a RF punch 360.2 amp powering the comps. giving them about 150 Watts. Was goofing off on Fleabay, and saw these...14,000 for some 6.5 comps and a 400w amp? WOW! They do have a used set for only 8K. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Critical-MASS-audiophile-6-5-inch-complete-Front-Stage-Amplified-System-CM654a-/321336314419?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item4ad1230a33 Can they really be that much better? I think it is funny that they state 400w rms but pair them to 100w/channel amp. Makes these 5.000 dollar Morel's look like walmart speakers! (not knocking Walmart speakers- I have a set in my burb.lol) http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOREL-SUPREMO-602-6-5-2-WAY-CAR-AUDIO-COMPONENT-MIDS-TWEETERS-SPEAKERS-NEW-/400605811874?pt=Car_Speakers&hash=item5d4…

Got the 12" hellion installed earlier today. Thought would take around 3 to 4 hours. But ended up taking 7 hours for amp install, LOC, sub into box, and box into trunk, tuned a bit and all good. The installer seems very knowledgable and super chill dude. I feel bad that it took so long... I was there just hanging out and talking with him throughout the whole thing and paying attention to learn some. Will post more pics tomorrow hopefully after work. I was suprised about how long it took to get through the firewall with a grommet. I guess the new acura TLX are not easy to do. Also that the installer tapped into the power and ground wires for the LOC into the ampl…

hmm i got some info today about ported boxes. I was thinking about using a ported box and porting the bass into my cabin. Well... it turns out all the port itself does is boost and PLAY the frequency it is tuned to, and the majority of the bass still comes from the front wave of the sub. so if i tune the box to 31 hz and i stick the ports into the cabin into the cabin i will hear boom boom boom BOOM boom BOOM the "BOOM" being the frequency the port is tuned to and it will overwhelm rest of the bass. i think thats why spl people like to upfire the ports into the cabin. any comments?

Hello all, Name is Chelsea (Andrew is my significant other) New here! We currently have a pair of RE Audio SX 18" subwoofers in a 10 cubic feet box after driver displacement, ported to around 35-40hz. They are powered by a Hifonics Brutus 2600 RMS Amplifier, it can only run at 1, 2 or 4 ohms. We will be modifying our box so it is raised about 5-7 inches wich will increase it to around 16 cubic feet, and we will be changing the port to preferably 29-30 hz. The RE Audio SX's that we currently have are D4 voice coils and we run our amplifier at 1ohm splitting the RMS between subwoofer's getting around 1300 RMS per SX. We can not do this with the Fi BTL's because they are D2…

I bought 2 - 15" Memphis M3's recently, but at different times from different people. This was the first one I bought, I have yet to start on the second one. This one was sold the day after I finished it... Anyway, when I got it, the bottom plate was shifted. (almost every motor I get seems to be shifted) So in order to fix it, first Ihad to pull the bottom plate. Here is the method I came up with to do it, w/o hurting the ferrite. I start with a putty knife, and 2 butter knifes. First I gently tap the putty knife in between the plate and magnet. Then, I gently place each butter knife on each side. Then I remove the putty knife, but leave the butter knives…
