Hey im a newbie and i am lookin into sellin my current system and getting a new one. I am sellin my Pl2-212 system with PA amp. My friend is thinking about buying it but he needs permission from his parents (lol). Anyways i was looking at getting a new system and i am looking for more of an Spl sub(s) that still has alot of Sq to go around. I am looking for a Sub(s) that is no more than 250. Thanks

I plan on running either one sa8 v2 or two v1.5s. They both would end up being about the same price ordering the 1.5s from woofercooker reconed. These will be going in a 4th order band pass. My question is are the v2s so much of an improvement that I should get one of those or would two 1.5s be louder? I was too focused on 18s while the whole sa8 train was going around so I missed all the info on them. Thanks.

Got the 12" hellion installed earlier today. Thought would take around 3 to 4 hours. But ended up taking 7 hours for amp install, LOC, sub into box, and box into trunk, tuned a bit and all good. The installer seems very knowledgable and super chill dude. I feel bad that it took so long... I was there just hanging out and talking with him throughout the whole thing and paying attention to learn some. Will post more pics tomorrow hopefully after work. I was suprised about how long it took to get through the firewall with a grommet. I guess the new acura TLX are not easy to do. i have a fi bl 18 with the hyperpole and flatwind coils and i want to get loud but deep loud not a high tuned loud so would any one like to share there opinion on if i should get another fi or get 2 aq hdc3 18s and sell my fi or does any body have any other suggestions to get

wazzup folks i recieved my audioque hdc3 18 by ups friday and had a helluva time getting all 7 cubes tuned to 30hz made of birch in my ext cab sierra. As soon as i turned on my stereo it was on a country song on a Cd. i noticed it was as loud as my 1 12 but it has even moved 2 milimeters yet and thats when i giggled. so to play around i put on a test tone of 25hz and stepped out of my truck only to see my windows moving atleast half inch and my back glass flexing around 1.5 inches, as i was steppin back in my truck it made my hair stand up like a hair trick! the lows are so crisp and kick drums and kettle drums are tight and controlled, ive never had a sound quality d…

Whats up SSA! I have 2 Ascendant Audio Mayhem 15's running on a Soundstream dtr 1.3400 at .25 ohm (3400 rms @ .5 2200 rms @ 1ohm) I have the subs in around 6.2 cubic ft net and they get loud but im itching to get louder if i can... I can get 3 American Bass HD 15's dual 1's and wire to .67 ohm... But can i just make another hole in my box? Thats the most airspace available. Goals.. Hit 150 db (currently 149.1) Should i keep the 2 15's or get 3 ? If its a bad question/ idea input on that would be apreciated Thanks

i know cheap and good aren't allways in the same sentence but thats what i need. so heres the deal i have stock speaks right now powered off my 580mp pioneer HU. the stock tweets i can handle although they suck compared to others i can deal with them for now but the mid-range is just too crappy. i hate listening to rock and have the gutair sound awful cuase the speaks are chit, now for what i need. first has to be cheap im a college kid that is currently layed off so income is low so trying to keep this around $150 shipped maxed. another problem is power since im poor i am going to use my HU for the time being for power so i need something a little high on efficieny. i wa…

Looking for a company to get a 12"sub magnetized. Purchased a Orion xtrpro around 4 years ago an the magnet somehow never got magnetized.

I brought my decision down to 3 subs...maybe 4 i want 1 15...but was looking at the Mach 5 MAW15's Alpine Type R-15(vented...4cu ft. 30hz) Kicker CVX-15(vented...4cu ft. 30hz) FI SSD-15(vented...4cu ft. 30hz) maybe SSA ICON 15(vented...4cu ft. 30hz) or 2...Maw-15's(sealed...3.5 cu ft.) I want LSQ...i want the lows to be smooth... Often times...budget subs bottom out and have hard bass...not smooth...so wat is everyone's opinion?

Im goin to put some 8in woofers in my rear doors for midbass in my next build. Is IB or sealed better? it will be powered with 100 watts

I currently have 1 sa-10 @ 600rms in a sealed box and am looking to go a little louder. I plan on lowering my amp (massive audio n3) to 1 ohm to get up to 1400rms. I'm debating on whether to get 1 12" fi Q (1500rms) or to just add another sa-10 (600rms each). They will be put in a sealed box (pls don't suggest a ported box, I'm not interested ) Thoughts?

i have a 97 astro van that is currently getting the trans rebuilt. i was going to run 2 solo x 18s. then i changed my mind and sold them today on ebay. now i'm looking to buy 8 mj18's for my build. i have an hk4000d and a ss xxx6500d for power. five opti batts and stock alt for now. i want this thing to be a groundpounder that can also do good at comps. advise welcome

Hey guys, Im looking to start a new build. Im looking for HARD hitting bass, but also the ability to play rock music well. I was originally set of AQ HDC3 18's, but came acros the IXL's. How would they compare. I live in Canada so buying froma canadian company would be nice. I plan to build a wall for whatever subs I go with behind the second row, with 3 8" aeros. What kinda tune would the IXL's like? Has anyone ever tried them, Id love to see some builds or videos!!! I have about 14 cubes to play with. Power will come from a Visonik V4000XD modded to play @ 1ohm 3500+ @ 2ohm, little more @ 1 ohm Id imagine Apprecaite any insight, as this seems to be the top Mach5 forum…

Okay everbody my cousin is getting ready to put a system and wanting to put some bass in tjere and she wants it to get loud but also have pretty good sound quality and what would yall run 2 15in dcons or 1 18 zcon either way it would be tuned to about 33hrtz also will buy the amp when we decided which we are going with.

Hello today is my first day on here and I hoping that maybe some of you guys on here could tell me of a better sub on the market that would be louder than my hifonics goliath 12" sub. here are the specs for you: quad coil 2 0hm 2400rms and 4800 peak watts foam surround aluminum cone 3"voice coil 160 oz mag. it weighs 38 lbs it is n a ported box think it is n like 2.5 cubes and I have a hifonics bxi 2608 amp I am wanting a single sub. I have an eclipse so i dont have much space to work with please help! thanks

guys as i mentioned in a few other threads i am a sales rep and i spend ALOT of time in the car. after debating for hours what would be best-- build a killer small sub box ( RLi8 or like with a PR to keep it small ) or redo my doors one of our resident experts here hit the nail on the head " why would you spend so much time or money on a sub? it reproduces about 15% of your sound ". it really hit home. i deadened my doors with Raamat, but did not do the closed cell foam on either skin of the door. when it warms up i want to make sure i do the closed cell foam ( is it better to line the inside of the door or between the panel trim and outer skin? ). i boug…

So I ordered a 15" mag I think a week n a half ago. I just haven't had time to get everything setup and what not. Over the last week, in my spare time, I have been building my 2.5 cu ft sealed box. Here are some of the pics: Thats it for now. Should be done tomorrow. Glueing the front baffle onto the box and the terminal cup. Then sealing and carpeting and installing tomorrow! Well usually when I'm at a stop light I turn my sub off so I don't annoy anyone. But some other guy was blasting his bass at the stop light. So I figure why not embarass him or give him a taste of his own medicine. I crank my 15" way up and a matter of seconds later he stopped playing his. Then when I stopped playing mine he tried turning his up and so I cranked mine up and left it cranked up. It was pretty fun. Wasn't anywhere near my house so no worries of getting ripped off. The best part was the guy was probably running 2 10's or 2 12's as he had blazer style truck and couldn't keep up. By the way, don't know if I posted this or if I thought about posting it, …

Hi- I am going to add a little midbass to my ride (it doesn't really have any atm). I am going to buy 4 MLI-65 midbass woofers. I am going to make a sealed enclosure for all 4 for the rear deck. Any recommendations on how big this should be? Thanks.
