Subwoofers / Speakers

I just got back into the car audio world, I'm doing a new build and I'd like to have some advice on these subs I'm looking at. I want to get either 15s or a single 18, the brands I've been looking at is the ssa ZCONs, PSI platform 3s or Fi BTLs, I'm running whatever I choose of a crescendo 5500. So can I please get some input

I have some 70w rms pioneer 5-way 6x9s that sound decent but definitely not as clear as I would like. So I thought Id buy some quality 6x9s, Ive been looking around for awhile and none seem to come close to the Infinity kappa 693.9I 3-way speakers in specs. Anybody have any experience with these? Seem like a good purchase for around $100? Hello, I bought a Fi Bl 12 "limited edition" with 4 inch vc. from a guy on **** I finally got the subwoofer today, and immedietly noticed that the basket was damaged. Two arms are broke off, and another 3 are cracked. Im in the process of filing an insurance claim. The seller stated he put insurance on package, Im waiting to hear back from him now. Im guessing I will get money from insurance and send the sub in for repair. Would a normal recone process cover a new basket also?

I currently have two Obsidian Audio OA12 V2's running off of 2 Audiopipe APSM1500's strapped @ 1 ohm. I used to own a Fi BTL 12" UFO motor sub before this system but on less power. The guy that currently has my old BTL is wanting to trade straight up for my two Obsidians. I think my Obsidian setups is a bit louder than the BTL was, but I really liked the way the BTL sounded, and it's able to handle the power I'm currently running better than the OA's. I'm considering the trade, but I'm looking for other opinions on whether or not this would be a good trade or not.

The first time i bought trunk audio a bought a 1000W kenwood amp and 2 12" 400W kenwood speakers. and when i connected them in series + to - it was ok bass but when i turned it up past 20 volume the music got louder but the bass got quieter. and when i connected them in parallel it was awesome very loud sound and bass but the amp heated up a lot please recommend me a amp and speakers i should get that will be loud and make by trunk bounce lol

I'm looking for suggestions on new mids for my 2010 silverado ext cab. I haven't done much to the truck yet just trying to decide on mids. The ill decide on power and tweeters. I like my music super loud. My setup in my car consists of 4 selenium st200s and 4 crescendo 6.5s off the factory amp. Lol and that sounds perfect to me. I'm trying to keep my budget as low as possible like 40 bucks a driver. I know I don't have enough details for you guys but bare with me and give me some suggestions! Thanks

I found a 15inch zcon sort of locally for a good price but I dont have enough experience to tell if for sure it is. I will post the pictures of the sub, just dont want to get burnt as its a good deal and kind of seems as if someone could pass it off as another sub. From me comparing pics, the surrounds are the only thing that stuck out to me in the pics between all the ssa lines. I am on my phone now but will post pics when I get home. There is no pic of the dustcap and thats what has me wondering about it.

Alright, i am looking to build up a daily gp build. I was almost dead on a pair of 15's Sundown SA's to be specfic. I guess i am looking to spend around 550ish to 600ish on subwoofers. Iv mainly focused my attention on subwoofers for the first few years of my car audio journey as I'm sure most of us do. I'm really looking to up my game as far as my front stage goes. I'm kind of leaning towards making my own 2-way or 3-way setup. Depending on whether decide to go with a 2 or 3 way setup, I really wanted to try a soft dome tweeter along with a midrange speaker (if 3 way is the best option) mounted in the A-pillars. I have had weird issues off and on with my amp (teac 200.1) and my components( phoenix gold radials ran passively). little things like sounding muffled at start up in cold weather. I bought the amp on here a few years ago for $15, so no big loss. The other day i was involved in a fender bender and the power wire from the front battery to the back came undone. so im looking at getting new mids and highs to compliment my MOJOs im putting in. im looking for very loud to keep up with the substage but also still great sq. im most likely going to be running either option on a Kicker 11ZX650.4(http://www.crutchfield.com/p_2061ZX6504/Kicker-11ZX650-4.html?tp=35782) 120x4 @ 4ohm. looking at either IA 6.5 and 6x9 coaxials or Alpine type R 6.5 and 6x9 coaxials. dont have any experience with either set and wanna see if someone can lead me in the right direction for my goals.

I am going to design a H/T enclosure for my brother's SX 15. It is a dual 4 ohm and was built in 2005. I cannot find the original T/S parameters for this driver, and non of my modeling programs have it either. I also have no idea if the current SX drivers are the same or not... Any help would be appreciated!

what is the difference between e8v3 and the e10 and which should be louder with a 1400 rms rated amp

My current setup is in a 2000, mustang convertible. Very little room. I am using 2 seperate boxes at about 1 cube sealed. I have a kicker 750.1 amp, powering two 10 inch CVRs. My question is, what can I drop in that will sound better? Of course the cvrs are loud, but after I tuned them there just not where I would like. I am looking for a cheap replacement. I may be able to sell the cvrs to some friends to help with cost. I'm looking at the Sundown E-10, so Skar IVX 10 Would an upgrade be worth if it, if so, what subs should I get? In short: 750-800rms, 1 cube sealed (each), daily use. What to get?
