Subwoofers / Speakers

Just a quick question from a newb. I took my old system of out my '98 Cavalier last summer and am just getting around to getting it installed into my 'new' '03 Cavalier this weekend. My system includes a rebuilt 5 channel alphasonik amp, some 4x6 pioneer door speakers (which are currently installed), an older model pioneer deck w/ usb hookup, a single 12" kaption sub, and a set of 6x9 Energy speakers for the rear. When I installed my door speakers, I tried installing the rears at the same time. Ive heard alot about magnums and re subs. I wanted to know if the 12" magnums will be a better sub for spl over the 12" re sx.

were there ever production d4 magnums made? if not, is it possible to special order some? i dont understand why they're all d2, thats great for one but what about pairs? i dont want to run my crossfire as .5 ohm daily, or at 4 ohms. are there other wiring configurations im not aware of to get 1 or 2 ohms out of 2 d2 drivers?

I drive a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire and in the front doors the speakers are 4x6" and in the rear 6x9". My current setup is Sony Xplodes in both locations so I'm looking to upgrade. I' ve already decided on getting a 12" Icon and Sundown Audio SAZ-1000D, but I'm unsure what to do about the rest of the setup. From the looks of it there really aren't that many options for 4x6" speakers that would be any better then my Sonys. What would you guys suggest in my situation? I'm just trying to price everything together for the setup to get an idea of the price and make any adjustments to make it more affordable if need be.

Are there any reviews for the Hybrid Audio products? I was planning on having a set of SEAS Lotus Reference components installed at the end of this month and was wondering how the Hybrid Audio drivers compare. I was planning on running the RW165 mids in kick panels and having the RT27F tweeters molded into my A-pillars. I'm open to the idea of a 3-way system, particularly The Legatia Pro L1 tweeter, L4 mid, and either the L6 or L8 midbass. i am looking at the Ascendant Audio Arsenal or 12D2 mag. i was reqamended the MAG and the Arsenal by another. i have a hifonics ZEUS 1000D 1000@1ohm, 750@2ohm 500@4ohm. i want to run it at 1ohm if i can. i know the mag is perfect for the amp but what about teh arsenal. SQ means sound quility but LSQ means??? sound quility loud?

Ok I am planning on getting 2 Fi BTLs Dual 1Ohm, and running them to a Sundown 3500D, but I seen the Mayhems and started thinking, I know you cant really hear the difference, but Im looking for the most, should I get two Dual 1 and run them to a 4500D? the box will be 2.5^3, 32-34hz IDEALLY. Electrical will be big 3, not sure if I 1 or 2 XS3100s, should run around 13+V(you get the point), 220A HO alt. Budget : $7500, gotta love the army bonuses.

I have had my ascendant havoc 12 for about a month. Recently I decided that it was broken in enough to see what it could do. I set my gains again, this time with the dd-1, but when I turn the volume up a little it sounds like it is bottoming out. I have a t1500-1bdcp that's rated at 1900 Watts rms at 1 ohm. I thought for sure that the havoc would take that much power and not bottom out. Could the noise be something else? or is it really maxed out?

Hey guys, anyone happen to have the t/s parameters of the Ascendant Havoc 12" in dual 1 ohm coil config? I got them at the end of the summer of '08, so they have the new cone, but they are not the new Dual 2's obviously, so I can't use the same t/s to design an enclosure for them . Thanks guys!

So I finally am buying some decent subs and I bought two level 2 15s I have a 05 scion Xb with the back seat in it still I have modeled up boxes on Winisd it's my daily driver but I also go to spl comps so I want it to play loud and low. I aquired the subwoofer mentioned above. It has a built in 5.1 amplifier, and a 10" sub. My question is, since i do not have the remote for it, how do I switch channels to have it play off the input from my computer? (rca) it has 6 channel inputs, l/c/r/s/rl/rr and it has two aux stereo inputs. But, i don't know how to turn it to the correct channel. Thanks for any input. I do know a bit about circuitry; Moving a few wires wouldnt be an issue.
