  1. Hi guys, I have a very good deal on aDigital Design sub. It's a 9515, very cheap I've never heared any, in a correct box. I don't know how it will sound in a 3 to 3.5 ft3 ported box. That is what I can fit in the "trunk" of my Toyota auris. the Auris is like a little bigger Corolla hatchback 4 doors, with a very small hatch. I still have my 12" BTL n2, but I have a buyer...he's in the starting blocks, waiting to take it from me !!! Originally I was debating between an SSA Zcon and an AA Mayhem, but the DD9515 came and it costs "only" $300 locally ! I think I can't pass on this deal. My amp is a sundown saz1500. I saw some saz 2500 at db-r, but the DD is rated for 1…

Hey guys I got a pair of 12" dss ethos that I had lying around , and finally gonna install it in my Altima. Anyways I had it in my challenger and it sounded great. Got rid of the challenger and forgot how I did the box. So I went on the website and was surprised when it said 40sq inches for 1.5 ft3. So if I wanted a 3 cubes box it would need 80 sq inches. I did the port length calculator and with that port area I would need a port length of like 60" lol So so I wanna ask if anyone has stuck to the recommendations to the T and hat results did they get.

ok I am looking for opinions here. what do you guys feel are the advantages and disadvantages of running several 8" subs compared to a single 15". Asuming both are installed properly and run off the same amp at the same impedience. Thanks Chad

I have set a budget for $150 per sub...... I am really wanting at least 12's. And I need some input on which subs within this price range will have the best bang the buck. I was looking at the Alpine SWR-1222D as a possible candidate. But that was purely just a suggestion for myself. After I figure out what subs I want to get I will try and figure out what amp will push them the best. Thanks in Advance. ~MadroX

  5. Hey guys, I plan on building a system from scratch when I buy a new vehicle. Im planning on buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee and buying a BC5500d and I will have plenty of space in the rear of the SUV but I cant decide if I want to get 2 12"s sundown x-12s or an 18" SSA Evil. Those subs are just examples, Im not set on any one brand or sub. What do you guys think? 2 12"s or an 18" or something else possibly? Matt

Does anyone have a list of good manufacturers that produce an XBL^2 driver? Specifically looking for Subwoofers, but mids and midbasses interest me too. I've found one manu, but I can't find them again. Their prices were good, but I wonder about quality. Thanks

  9. Ok you guys, decided I would try to put 8" Kicker Comps in each door, along with my cadance mids and titanium super tweets. For full-range sound in doors (lows, mids, and highs) it will be in a new sealed fiberglassed pod mounted to door. Any input?? I've heard someone use them (kicker 8') for their mids, so I thought id try em out. I;ll let you all know how it'll sound.

Hello all, ive been shopping around the last month for my next seasons' sub purchase, and "someone" who's close to SI and Team Smoke suggested I dabble with the Stereo Integ Magniums as a SPL sub in my Corvette SPL car build. Being that it is, an SPL only vehicle would it be honest to consider the SI Mag's to be a SPL or a SQ related subsoofer? I know there are alot of more variables to contend with beyond just the sub that dictates a SQ or SPL useage, but im suggesting my application will only be SPL, for highest numbers and not necessiarily the best SQ, since we all know there is a trade off at some point on something, ya know...the iron law thing Before I posted th…

Whats up guys. I am currently in the market for two solid SQ 12's to run off of the SAE-1200D I have on the way. This will be going in another vehicle of mines. I have never done a dual 12 setup so I figured it was about time to try it out. I am currently running a AA Havoc 12" on a SAE-1000D in my daily driver, so I am looking for something similar that will get LOW and maintain SQ. Thanks in advance for the forthcoming input!!!!

The drivers are here! If you pre-ordered drivers, yours will probably go out next week. Other than that, ordering is officially open...although I probably won't get around to putting it on the web page until this weekend. Being this busy can not be healthy.

He He. Big thanks to Aaron!! Mark, I must say, you really outdo yourself. A $20 driver that performs like drivers five times the cost AND you have the audacity to include form fitting grills AND hardware. Mach 5 Audio, the pinnacle of the poor man's music! being broke never sounded so good. Now, on to the goodies. What is this mess on my driver?

  16. i am planning on getting a regular cab chevy colorado within the next few weeks and am starting to plan out the sound system. so far i know the h.u, door speakers and tweeters. but am not sure about the sub, amp or box. i have been looking at ssa and sundown audio. i am more into sq than spl and listen to a variety of music anywhere from rap to metal. and i have a budget for the sub, box, and amp of around 600 to 700. space is the number one issue since its a regular cab, i do not care if there is room in the back i just do not want to have to have the seat pulled up to an uncomfortable position.

Guys I know just enough to get into trouble and looking for some advise. I've got 2 Fi btl n2 15's that are going to be sealed off from the trunk with a blow thru in the rear deck. Each sub is going to be ran at 1ohm with a Rockford t1500-bdcp amp. I've got 4 sets of Rockford T3 6.5" components and plan on running one set on each channel of my Rockford t800-4bdcp. My question is this..what freq should I cut the subs off at..where should my components pick up at..and are my components enough? Will they be loud enough? Will they go low enough? Thanks for any help you can offer.

Hi everyone! This is my first post on the forum as I found myself liking the way SSA forum is handled versus other car audio forums out there and I'm looking for advice from people who really know their stuff! My build is very budget oriented as I am 18 and in college but that's not to say i do not take my bass seriously. I have an APMI 2K with 1/0 KnuKonceptz Bassik wire ran for power and no big 3, all powering 2 10s under my back seat in my 2012 F150 which has already been sound deadened slightly and the back cabin vents sealed. Now to the meat and potatoes of my post. I am looking for some new drivers. My airspace is limited to 2.05cf before displacement shared by both…

Here are my conditions: Sealed- no more than .3 cu per sub power handling of 250 RMS minimum Price must be 115 or less shipped per sub. Mounting depth of no more than 4 3/4 inches(this is important) These are the subs on my short list, please post your first hand listening impressions only, no "oh those suck, because all of that brand sucks" Kicker solo classic 8( the brand new ones)- really curious about these Kicker 08s8L5- I dont want to join the "me too" crowd, but I'll run them if they are my best choice Polk MM840 - The new MM series, NOT the old MOMO. I'm looking to get more spl than sq right now I will upgrade the highs and mids at all later date just want to get it going.
